ZealPath Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I think most of us know the drill with this by now, awesome indie games, name your price, split between devs and charities if you're so inclined. The good news is, this time it's back to being a full-on bundle (there were some smaller ones with 2-3 games in between #3 and #4), and what a bundle it is! With Super Meat Boy, Shank, Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, NightSky, Cave Story+ and Gratuitous Space Battles (beat the average for the last 2), this one is quite the no-brainer, even if you already have some of the games as I did. So, head on over to http://www.humblebundle.com/ and get it done! Quote
Brandon Strader Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 This would have been an awesome bundle if I didn't already have SMB and Cave Story+ It's still a good bundle but not one I could drop food stamps on Quote
42 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Boo-yah! Just picked this up. I had been wanting to get Cave Story+ for a while now. Also, in relevant Indie Goodness, new Indie Royale bundle dropped today (or yesterday) too. It's definitely a wonderful time to be a lover of of Indie Games Quote
Gollgagh Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I bought this solely for Cave Story+ and ended up paying what I would have for it on Steam anyway :B Quote
Red Shadow Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 this is worth it for bit trip runner alone god i love that game so much Quote
Eino Keskitalo Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 This bundle contains six games that are on my to-check-out list. Regarding previously owned games, it'd be cool if you could gift away individual games from bundles you bought. I probably wouldn't e worth the hassle to implement though. --Eino Quote
Brandon Strader Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Indie Royale has individual codes. Wouldn't hurt for them to implement it. It might get me to order the bundle, but there's no point buying a bundle with the 2 biggest games being ones I already own. ;_; And not being able to gift them to someone, that is. Quote
Drakken Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Bought for NightSky HD; looks interesting. Bit.Trip Runner looks good too. Quote
Dissidia Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I bought it for Cave Story+ too, the other's were bonuses. I already have Super Meat Boy which I would've wanted if I didn't have it (lol). Quote
GallenWolf Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Can't wait to get home, Gratuitous Space Battles looks interesting, hopefully something less like eve online, more like homeworld. Cave Story+ looks damned awesome too And linux/osx support? Win Thanks OP! Quote
Zerothemaster Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Want so much! Need to go an pick up a gift card to pay for this with. :3 Super Meat Boy + Bit.Trip and Jamestown? ^.^ And Shank looks interesting too. Quote
zircon Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I haven't purchased any such bundles before, so this is my first time. Too good to pass up. Quote
Gollgagh Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 guys make sure you download the HIB version of Cave Story+ it has Danny B's remastered version of the soundtrack I'm pretty sure it can be dropped right on top of the steam version as well Quote
Mirby Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 If I had money I would totally get this. Quote
Kenogu Labz Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 guys make sure you download the HIB version of Cave Story+it has Danny B's remastered version of the soundtrack I'm pretty sure it can be dropped right on top of the steam version as well Wait, why didn't I hear about this? One of my biggest issues with Nicalis' remake was that they took all the wind out of the music. Def. wanna see what the difference is, now... EDIT: OOOH if it's the same as the Cave Story 3D soundtrack then YES. That sounded soo much better. Also, it doesn't drop on top of the Steam version. I'm also pretty sure that the HIB version doesn't track Steam achievements. Music or achievements? It could also be possible to change out just the music, but I haven't tried it yet. Quote
GravitySuitCollector Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Also, it doesn't drop on top of the Steam version. I'm also pretty sure that the HIB version doesn't track Steam achievements. Music or achievements? It could also be possible to change out just the music, but I haven't tried it yet. It's the Cave Story+ version. They give you the Steam key as usual. So far, I prefer the original music, though (there is an option to switch the music/graphics between the new and old). On another note, this was on the Frozen Synapse Steam news feed: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/12/14/littlebigbunch-sale-is-go-pay-what-you-want-for-frozen-synapse-munchs-oddysee-and-more/?ns_campaign=article-feed&ns_mchannel=ref&ns_source=steam&ns_linkname=0&ns_fee=0 EDIT: wait, is the download different than the Steam Key? Oops. :b Wait, it's saying plus, still... Quote
Kenogu Labz Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Yeah, that's what was odd. Makes me wonder if they'll update the Steam version with an option for the new music. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 The chiptuney music = win. Not feeling the new 3DS music. Quote
GravitySuitCollector Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 The music for Cave Story+ on Steam at least is this version:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbKsFgTnbXc Yeah, download the DRM Free version. Quote
Gollgagh Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Also, it doesn't drop on top of the Steam version. I'm also pretty sure that the HIB version doesn't track Steam achievements. Music or achievements? whoops yeah I fucked up my save data doing this good thing I already cleared hell once Quote
BardicKnowledge Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I'm really hoping that the Steam version gets updated with the remastered music. I love my achievements! Edit: Is there a way to copy over / replace only some files so you can have the music and still track achievements? Quote
Gollgagh Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 could probably replace the music since it's in OGG Quote
Kenogu Labz Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Yeah, but it also depends on how hard-coded the music is. Should be fine, but there's a bit of a chance that it'll bork out on you. Just copy everything out beforehand just in case. Quote
ZealPath Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Nice find with the 3DS soundtrack, I'm pretty content to just listen to the files for now since I'd never heard it before but getting it to work on the Steam version might be fun, not that I have any huge problem with the Nicalis version.
