Chernabogue
So loving it. Great job!
Chimpazilla
Saturday morning bumpity bump! Timaeus and I wanted to tackle Plants vs. Zombies for two reasons. First, it's a really great soundtrack to a totally addictive game! Second, NO ONE has done it yet! This amazes me! Laura Shigihara has one mix posted on this site, and in the writeup thread, djp mentions how excited he will be to hear the first remix from Plants vs. Zombies. We are hoping this will be that first posted mix from the game! Chernabogue, thanks for the kind words! Anyone else (mod or not) have any thoughts? And once again I must say how much I enjoy collaborating with Timaeus! More mixes are already in the works!
Argle
Nice work. I've thought about doing Plants vs Zombies. Maybe in a few years.
SuperiorX
Yeah this is pretty slick. I love the PvZ soundtrack and this is a pretty cool remix blending together a few different sources. I remember Rozovian had a PvZ remix that I heard somewhere, sometime, that was pretty cool, but I don't recall if he posted it here or not. Nice job guys! AngelCityOutlaw
Righteous song! I left a comment on soundcloud and "liked" the track. I've never played Plants Vs. Zombies, but this inspires me to try it.
DimeTower
Having played Plants vs. Zombies a ton, I recognized this right off the bat but was really impressed where you went with it. 1:03-1:57 was truly tremendous. The 1:57-2:15 section was a little harsh for me, but I didn't hate it, and the rest of the mix is enjoyable. The ending screams were perfect and well done! Again, things really shine at 1:03-1:57 (what a great first solo), but the mix is good overall!
timaeus222
I'm just gonna bump this. Needs dat mod review that I requested from both Rozo and Flexstyle, both of which I PM'd (which I would expect you guys to see by now, since I've seen some random posts on OCR that were after the time either of you received the PM). Either person is fine, but it'd be great to have both if you both want to. Just whenever I guess, take your time. Chimpazilla and I both want this on OCR. Any other mod is totally welcome to check this out. Edited March 7, 2013 by timaeus222

I'm sure one of these fine gentlemen will get with us shortly!

Kanohi
I've always wanted to do a PvZ mix or two, I'll be hard-pressed to top this one though! Great incorporation of every source, and though it's not too liberal, the blending of a lot of different songs is very well-done and gives the track a great originality
Flexstyle
Haven't forgotten to check this out, just haven't had time to sit down and give it a proper listen. From a very cursory listen-through, sounds like you're pretty well set, but I'll try and get to it soon!
Rozovian
So, _this_ track gets a source breakdown, but obscure DOS games don't. Life isn't fair. Lead sounds a bit too loud. Bell-ish synth gets really bright sometimes. Dubsteppy part feels really weird without an excessive amount of lows. Cool that you're trying something different, and it does transition well into the track afterwards, but you could achieve that with an automated high pass on an initially low-heavy bass just as well. Source undoubtedly there. Feels cohesive and moves well. Too bad there are voice clips, but other than that, I like it. /mr
Chimpazilla
Thanks for that review, Rozo! You will always get a detailed source breakdown from team Timazilla. Thanks for the comments, glad you liked it overall. Embrace the voice clip. Many of us like them quite a lot. Why not? It gives the track a great flavor of the game being remixed. Embrace it I say!!! Eino Keskitalo
Some lead loudness was the only thing that made this feel not a 100% polished piece for me. Solid, groovy, lushy, lots of detail in there. Nice nice work. --Eino
