orkybash Posted May 26, 2002 Posted May 26, 2002 Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 'Memories of Saria' It's a tough call, but in the end I really can't say I recommend this. Almost none of the sounds are very high quality, and some are downright annoying. It's a bit repetitive, and the slow-down ending, while good, really doesn't fit the song and is much too drawn out. It has its moments, yes, but I think the bad outweighs the good here. Though as I said, it's a really tough call. Quote
Aetherius Posted June 11, 2002 Posted June 11, 2002 As the person who perpetrated it the atrocity, I can't recommend that you listen to this either....I myself find it incredibly annoying...but some people like that crap....feel free to be less lenient in the future Quote
Woffester Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 I have a playlist with all of the Overclocked remixes on my hard drive and I leave it on Shuffle. Whenever it skips to this song and I hear those retarded...Whatever they are...I just change the song. I don't think I have heard past those retarded things more than once, so I can't say whether I like the rest of the song...But for any of you who like it, I am sure you are ... PHREAKING THE HELL OUT TO IT ... I'm sure. Quote
Aetherius Posted August 22, 2002 Posted August 22, 2002 You hurt me Woffester....you hurt me real bad....using my own mp3 script against me....how dare you....as far as the song goes....I believe I said...The song sucks It was made around the same time as the DKC2 remix that recently got rejected. By the time they got around to it I could do so much better that I couldn't stand the thought of trying to resubmit it. but hell...it'll be another 5 months before they get around to it again. I might as well do what I can with it....wow...it's amazing how far i go on a tangent. Quote
Woffester Posted August 22, 2002 Posted August 22, 2002 My intent was not to hurt you, and if it truly didn't hurt you, you wouldn't have had the urge to prove me otherwise. Quote
Aetherius Posted August 23, 2002 Posted August 23, 2002 the comment was made jokingly, my friend. All's well that ends...acceptably Quote
ScytheML Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 DJ Starchild, Get a soul, Get some self-confidence. Hell, it was bad, ok. But don't be so hard on yourself. If it truly was god-awful it wouldn't be on this site, right? I mean, come on. Other people have a right to dis it, YOU DON'T. Quote
reverse Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 The artist is always hardest on his work. Actually, bro, I dig it. It's decent work. Quote
snaildog Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Well I personally really liked the remix, mostly for those awesome drum parts between the melody. Quote

Carrie-san Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 I love Saria's Song,I love Saria. All those idiots who are slamming this song apparently don't even listen to it all the way though, those ba---::ahem:: anyway, the remix is great. It's a nice job catching the actual tune, but making it really...nifty and party-like. ::nods:: i approve. ...it'd be nice to see some other Saria's Song Remixes.... Quote
Ice Sage Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Oooooo Don't be too hard on yourself, man. Saria's Song has to be one of the toughest ones to work with since it's so cheezy sounding. I don't think you did a bad job at all as far as quality is concerned. Very few would dare step into the lost woods and make something using this song out of pure fear. I applaud your bravery in this undertaking. Quote
PassivePretentiousness Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 This is a marginally generic remix that I would only recommend since Saria's Song remixes aren'te extremely prevalent. The song does have some enjoyable aspects to it and manages to avoid getting repetitve despite being such a short loop. 4/8 Quote
vgmusiclover Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 i liked this song, i personally see no problem with it, it is happy!!! Quote
Ferret Posted April 26, 2003 Posted April 26, 2003 Hey, I've heard this song (well, not quite THIS song) on VGmusic.com!!! Even so, it's still a great music, but not one I'd want to listen to repeatedly. More like a special occassion thing. Happy dance moments aside, it is a worthy remix, just not a great one. Quote
Corporal Eschebone Posted July 15, 2003 Posted July 15, 2003 I like the techno feel to this song. I don't think this song is generic, because it still has its happy little tune intact. Now, is happy generic? 85% An average-length track that is enjoyable, and for being just a tad repetitive, it really does fly by. Quote
slavakion Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 The opening notes sound like a carnival and pierce through your brain. I'm sorry, but this one just doesn't do Zelda any justice. No hard feelings. Quote
brink-of-time Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 this is the first song i ever downloaded from ocremix, way back about a week after it got posted. this was my favorite song for a while. but now it isn't. there is so much dj starchild could have done. Bd is too soft and quiet. needs more oomph . the 2nd melody seems to overpower everthing else, it just pissed me off. this is a average track. Quote
ladykaiyu Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 This track is just...strange. I had to listen to it a few times to decide if I liked it or not. It's okay, and an interesting version of the Saria's Song, but it's not one of my favorites. However, I do think it is worth downloading:-) Quote
Aetherius Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 this is the first song i ever downloaded from ocremix, way back about a week after it got posted.this was my favorite song for a while. but now it isn't. there is so much dj starchild could have done. Bd is too soft and quiet. needs more oomph . the 2nd melody seems to overpower everthing else, it just pissed me off. Well...for a second remix, it's pretty well the best I could do. And, it being two years later...I wouldn't even make anything similar to this remix....indeed, I haven't remixed since my Brink of time remix got rejected...*sighs* good times. Anyways, a favourite song? Are you out of your bloody mind? I'm quite surprised by the number of people who actually gave this good reviews...and were able to type.... Quote
B0unC3 Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 Hmmm I dont know...I find this one to be VERY exact with a midi file on VG Music. The mix is good but I don't like it when they are exactly as a Pure mp3 version of the midi file... ///B0unc3 Quote
RPharazon Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Well, I say this song already has enough oomph, it's just that something is overpowering the main saria tune. I can't put my finger on what, maybe it's many little things. Anyways, this is a good song overall, it's in my playlist for good. Quote
maestermatt Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 This song sorta reminds me of the theme from never ending story. Quote
PatrickWagstaff Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I havn't said it before, but I really like this song. It's fun to listen to. Quote
Brome Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Wow ! It's thanks to this song that I know OCRemix ! I searched Lost Woods in google, 2 or 3 years ago, and I found out there was a website that post Remix of video game soundtracks .
