MindWanderer
Victory in the Soma Bracket, Round 2 goes to Wildfire! Magnetic Ether and Supercoolmike move into the Dracula bracket. Remixes for the Simon Bracket, Round 2 and the Dracula Bracket, Round 1 are up! Sadly, we got only 2 entries for the former and 3 for the latter, but it's enough for a vote. Voting threads will go up shortly. Jorito
Chernabogue
Did I miss the remixing time for Dracula Bracket??
Jorito
I'm afraid so... But since you are good at orchestral stuff and I submitted an orchestral track in the Dracula bracket, I will bother you for some feedback. So you are participating somewhat
Chernabogue
Damn, first I take the wrong source, now I miss the deadlines. Wow, I'm bad xD

PlanarianHugger
Now that's just bad luck. You still have two more round though.

Yeah, since there were so few entries in round 1, the gap in points will definitely be surmountable even skipping a round.
MindWanderer
Results are in! OA moves on to the hero finals, along with Gario and Wildfire. The hero finals will again be a simple 3-way matchup, where each remixer needs to use all three sources. Jorito achieves a clean sweep of the Dracula Bracket, earning 4 points. PlanarianHugger and TheShaggyFreak tie for last place and earn one point each. The source for the Dracula Bracket, Round 2 is Sorrow's Distortion from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia! Again, anyone who wants to participate should submit a remix using that source and their own. Both deadlines are 2 weeks from now, March 23. Get remixing! Jorito
Didn't really expect that clean sweep after I had difficulties finding time, energy and inspiration in an overly busy 2 weeks, but I'm very pleased with the results! Hope the next round goes as well
OceansAndrew
Good luck to my heroic opponents, im going to try some new stuff this time, and I hope we all have exciting entries

Would it be one of our 5 picks we chose from the start or the same track we've been using?

wildfire
I had a bit of a slow start to mine, but now I think I know what I'm doing with this song. Jorito
Jorito
I ditto the slow start myself, but I think I know what I'm doing with this song too, even though it's a bit of an experiment
OceansAndrew
slow start x3 - definitely feeling the endurance aspect of the compo here, and I am trying to make the mix interesting, thouughh that is up to the voters I guess. wildfire
I think my song is mostly done, but I still need to write all the lyrics. Hopefully I can come up with stuff that doesn't sound stupid before the end of the day, otherwise I won't have time to record and process them. Jorito
Arrangement wise I'm pretty much done, I also have lyrics (silly stuff, since they are mine and the track needs it), my main worry is getting the production into a decent shape (as usual, but now I have only a few hours to iron things out). It will probably be a bit rough here and there, but since I'm in the losers bracket I'm not competing with OA and Wildfire anyway *edit: just wrote out the lyrics, and man they are silly out of context!* Hope to see some other entries in the Dracula bracket too! I feel lonely there atm
Ronald Poe
Is it too late to enter? I'd love to remix here.

wildfire
I'm not really a fan of mid-week deadlines. I'd much prefer Sunday afternoon deadlines, so I can stay up til ungodly hours of the night perfecting my remix. Can't really do that when I have to be at work in the morning :/ All my lyrics are written, just have to record and process them all tomorrow. No big deal, right? You can do it! If it makes you feel any better, I am also feeling the crunch. I need to write an ending and do a little more recording. Good luck to us both! wildfire

Unfortunately, my schedule is such that I can only work on managing this stuff when I'm at work myself. And I tend to be too busy Mondays doing actual work-work. Looking forward to the results! Jorito
Sent my entry in yesterday. Wanted to polish it a bit more but couldn't find the time or the energy, alas. Looking forward to the other entries! Oh, these jobs that allow you to do OCR stuff at work and only do work-work on mondays sound pretty good

Yeah, my job is kind of weird.
