Frozen Atari
Ahhh Yeah, Astro man was hard with out a power!! Getting to him is also a bit hard. I always thought Ring man was hard From Mega man 4. Hell i can beat hit with Pharoshot, but when you try doing it with nothing but the mega buster on your arm... oww..~Atari

The Coop
O-kay. I'm probably the only person who will ever say that this boss was tough.... Dracula at the end of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon I can't beat this shithead. I have a decent number of the cards and so forth, but no combination seems to allow me to get past his second form. Oh his first form is quite easy. But his second form? Hands me my ass everytime. I learned how to dodge the attack where he shoots across the screen quickly, I manage to avoid the bats or whatever the hell they are most of the time. But I can never seem to get in more than one or two shots every minute. No matter how long I last, that floating eyeball out lives me. Someday I'll figure it all out, and I'll probably kick myself for not realizing it sooner as it'll likely be something painfully simple. But for right now, I just watch that poor little dimly lit dude die again and again
ChocoTaco
Back in my newby gamer days in Elementary School I was stuck on "Zio" from Phantasy Star 4 for like 4 months. I had no clue and suddenly one day I got lucky and beat him. Also one of the most confusing times in a game was Shining Force 2, where to advance any futher , you had to some how come up that the "wood chunk" you picked up in a random ancient temple fit into this randomass tree with a generic "hole" in it were the key to getting the Achilles Sword. I leveled up my guys so damn high doing so many battles trying to figure out what to do, the rest of the game was easy because of it, hehe. hahaha, just read your post about dark forces from PS3, yes that was fucking hard!!!! I even had trouble with the PS4 one with 'burstroc' ability wren got. I had never played PS3 till I got it on GBA and holy shit, dark forces took me 9/10 of the gametime I played. sooo cheap and unfair. like the boss of the floaty island in PS4 cheapness, but wasn't the easy bitch he was. Amnastic
The hardest boss ever is the final boss in DOOM2. I know that it's just a picture on the wall, but hundreds of enemies popping up behind you can be kinda distracting.
A-RoN
Can somebody pleeeeeaaaassse tell me how to defeat that wierd FF9 monster in Memoria that sucks all your strength, snorts one party member out, and gives you the silent claw? It's been really giving me a hard time!
don't_exist
This will be hard, try it if you want 1. It's in FF7 2. Only have Cloud alive, or in the party (if it's possible) 3. Equip buster sword, and no magic. Then you just go to ruby weapon and begin to fight
The Author
Doable... Level 99. No magic = loads of support materia.
don't_exist
doesn't matter, you buster sword will still do like 100~200 damage, an this guy have 1 000 000 life ... Is it possible to beat Ruby Weapon that way? I mean, if you have a certain equipment, so you can't get hurt?
The Author
Never said it would be easy, but isnt there a HP drain materia for attacks.
don't_exist
pretty sure it wont work on ruby or emereld weapon. ... didn't the weapon going to save the earth when it was in danger? .... how come cloud and his pals wanna kill them? The Author
Well, I guess you missed the whole "save the planet by killing all humans" part.
don't_exist
what if the weapons didn't get killed, maybe they where going to destroy sephiroth and the meteor. ?
psycho ninja gt
you guys might not agree... but who cares. the last leader from pokemon puzzle challenge on the ultimate difficulty level on game boy color. that one required you to play defensively moreso than offensively. offensive combos and such had to be executed at just the right time. but thats a fast paced puzzle game, at times... there are too many hard bosses out there. (rpg's dont really count to me unless i make it more difficult for myself by not leveling up enuff or using crap weapons.)
gandhis fist
you wanna talk about a game that is freaking impossible, try Gauntlet 2 for NES, one of the hardest games ever...
and Poisonpikachu too!
you wanna talk about a game that is freaking impossible' date=' try Gauntlet 2 for NES, one of the hardest games ever...[/quote']It never ended!!! NEVER!!! I wasted years with the game on and a second player to beat that game! Never did I succeed. Also, the last guy from 'Vagrant Story' was nigh-impossible. My alignments must've been wrong, and my chains were never enough... In the end, 1 hit would always kill me and I didn't beat him until one day I was so drunk and stoned that I didn't care anymore and got really lucky with a 21-hit chain with the damn Executioner's Sword that I later renamed 'Strike from the Heart.' Ah, I hated that.
Ferret
Although I said Giygas was the hardest boss, I wasn't thinking. Yeah, he's hard...but how insanely hard can he really be? I beat the game, after all, without even breaking a sweat. So I take it back. Giygas isn't the hardest boss I've ever encountered. Lavos is. Through sheer length of battle, Lavos is the hardest boss I've yet encountered...though this may change I know he's not the hardest boss, but Juno, from Mega Man Legends, is the most annoying. I had nightmares of circling around that bozo shooting at him. Sometimes it's better to have a sidescrolling game than a 3D one...
Kiyosuki
Goenitz from King of Fighters 96. No fighting game boss has yet to even reach his level of pure, ridiculous cheapness. (Justice from Guilty Gear is second, but not close by far) And the multiple boss fight in Gradius III. Not the SNES version but the Arcade version. OMFG. I never did beat the arcade one...
Z31RaM
goenitz = pure unadulterated evil. although omega rugal from the new KoF dream match is a very close second to goenitz's level of cheaposity.
gandhis fist
another impossible game for you, Super Ghosts and Ghouls for SNES, that game was also freaking impossible, I don't think i ever even beat the first level.
gandhis fist
It never ended!!! NEVER!!! I wasted years with the game on and a second player to beat that game! Never did I succeed. Yeah, apparently there are like a couple hundred levels to that crap, I never finished it once. I don't think there is a person in the world that ever saw the end to that game, and if they did, they are probably dead. Nintendo probably put a hit on 'em so no one would ever be able to talk about the end of that game.
Span-Kofficus
you wanna talk about a game that is freaking impossible' date=' try Gauntlet 2 for NES, one of the hardest games ever...[/quote']It never ended!!! NEVER!!! I wasted years with the game on and a second player to beat that game! Never did I succeed. When I was younger, I played Gauntlet 2 for about 4 hours once... I got to level 254 or something, and that's when I decided that it was unbeatable, especially after levels began to repeat themselves. There was this dragon thing that you were supposed to kill, and it just shot fireballs and stuff at you, I eventually learned that I could stay far enough away to the point where it couldn't hit me, but I could hit it, and I killed it just like that. The announcer dude would say something like "I've not seen such bravery!" or something, and the points would start racking up.
Toasty!
i had alot of trouble with dario in CC. i guess i wasn't leveled up as high as i should have been. the second time was much easier. thank you newgame+!
Fyreseel
OMG... no one here has dealt with the insanity that is Justice from Guilty Gear or the final form of I-No on GGX2, have they? >.o Absolute humilitation. Also, Uber Soldat from RtCW is another one of my non-faves. ^.^ ~Fyreseel
