So what sort of rating do think the major publications are going to give. Based purely on speculation I'm thinking in the 9.5-10 range, one or two perfect 10s, and the odd ball review of 8.5 or something.

Anyhow, can Link do any other Zelda 2 moves? I know he can do the downward thrust.

Well he can do that downward thrust as a finishing move, kinda similar to Zelda 2 jump + down attack.

I know this may sound alien to you, but reading avoids answering stuff that is already known.

Zelda 2 Link also had an upward thrust (shown in one of his aerial attacks in Melee), he could turn himself into a fairy (no joke) to fly and pass through small corridors (think Alucard's bat transformation from SotN or DoS), cast a spell on himself to jump higher than normal, shoot fireballs, and... that should be it, I think.

EDIT: Wait, I know there's more than that. I just can't think straight right now.

Personally I'd like to see Link use a couple of his own magic attacks every once in a while. Something less generic than Din's Fire.

Double HP through a shield spell, and there was thunder as well.

Zelda 2 also has Link able to crouch and attack. That'd be a handy one to bring back, if for no reason than to make combat more interesting. Roll around, jump-slash, cut their knees out from under them, then spinslash to finish them off.
