Super Mario 64: Portrait of a Plumber - History

Recommended Posts

The purple songs are all from pretty prolific artists, shouldn't be too hard if they set their minds to it. :-D

But Limbo is reserved for unbaptized babies isn't it, this album is due more to be in the 7th circle of development hell.

Oh hi there first post update.

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit my personal life has interfered with my OCR partifipation the past few months. Not gonna go into it here for obvious reasons, but on the positive side, I've been steadily working on my track. Negative side, I've been unable to get feedback from certain artists on wip tracks after several attempts - hence the first page update.

Also, I'm going to be seeking artists for File Select and possibly Slider. If you wish to claim one of these tracks, feel free to drop me a PM with a work in progress and we'll see from there.

Is this fucking thing ever going to be finished?

:-x

A valid question. Kinda ironic because I was going to post here today anyway. I'm wrapping up Bowser's Road now, so it's about 95% complete. Really just need someone to cover file select, but I've been hitting some people up PM's. We'll see!

Do you still need someone to take the File Select theme? 'Cause I will :)

I could potentially do it too, if I get a spot of time after I do my last ff9 song, and enter the ff6 contest. :-P

This is not the kind of source you cut, this is a keeper.

Whoa whoa wait wait... Is File Select Brandon's old track? If it is, then I'm not interested.

No. Everything was claimed when I stepped in to cover Metal Mario. Even Metal Mario was claimed, by John Revoredo, who has sadly gone somewhere... I think he's in Europe for a couple years or something.

Hey KingTiger, I gotta be honest, I'm not so familiar with your work, but if you'd be up for a COLLAB on File Select, and of course if Nutritious approves, I think we should do that. I'd prefer to mix and master it though, we can toss a midi back and forth to write the arrangement. Hopefully you use a midi keyboard.

But yeah, what do you think? And we'd need Nutritious's approval of course.

EDIT: I'm not so familiar with your work but I vaguely remember seeing you with something awesome, or you record live drums or something like that? Let me know, that'd be awesome to use!

He was in the Sonic Zone Remix challenge, maybe that's what you're thinking of. :-P I believe he made it to the second round, if I recall correctly. Think he was in your bracket too.

Dude, he's the guy who plays the Keytar!

Dude, he's got stacks of keyboards with his sticker on them... I think I need to know more but this looks impressive.

I KNEW there was something impressive there.

Yes, I was in the SZRC, and yes, I did make it to the second round! And Brandon, you are correct, I believe you are referring to these pictures:

So, there's been a ton of interest in the past few days in the File Select track. The way I'm running it is if someone sends me a wip that is sizing up to project standards, I'll mark the track as claimed.

Also, Piranha Plant Lullaby is now available.

Of course a collab would be fine, long as you can get me a wip up to snuff :)

Are there any guidelines on how the track should be? Like specific genres?

If KingTiger is up for it that'd be fun

Yeah, I'm up. You can start working on it or I can, if you prefer. The sooner we get a wip in the better.

You can start. Write in midi. :D

We'll make something super sweet together :)

Whatever, just ignore me. ;P

Jk.

Like Nut said, fastest bestest arrange wins :)

You should do the Briggs/halc source tbh. That needs covered too now.

No offense intended with anything I typed on my little phone :]
