Link seems to be hella broke.. D: Is this an original thing, or something from a source? I had put you down for the Baby Shark thing, so IDK if you changed your mind or not. xD

Anyone opposed to the idea of me doing a cover for this? I have an idea. It'll be pixel art like my other stuff, but no game characters or funny/goofy scenes.

Nah, no one is. xD Adrian and Audiomancer voiced they might do some artwork / cover stuff for this, but nothing says there can't be multiple (as in, art inserts + front & back covers). ;) So if you've got some grand, spooktacular plan, feel free! I'd love it to be pixel art, or at least, thematically uniform. :) If we've got a base idea for direction, that'd be cool. This year's theme is a bit of a 'free-for-all', but the only thing I think I've got a centered idea on is pumpkins. xD

Having no game characters or funny/goofy scenes will help to separate this a bit from AOCC. Don't wanna mimic your ideas, or have it be a carbon copy but with "it's spooky" instead.

I was also wondering how you'd feel about your yearly poem thing for AOCC being adopted by AOCH? I know that's pretty much tradition at this stage to do that, as you release the album for the songs for the 25th of December... Who's doing the poem? IDK. I can write a thematic poem, but was wondering how you felt about it? :D

Then I'll get started on my eerie pixel idea and see where it goes.

As for poems, Twas actually has nothing to do with AOCC. The Twas series was started by me back in 2002 as something goofy to post for Christmas in the old UnMod forum that year. It became a yearly thing after that, focusing on various UnMod and OCR happenings until around the seventh year, when it became about original stories that had nothing to do with the forums. Each one's been written entirely by me, and as one can imagine, they take some time to flesh out and write nowadays (20-plus pages of stanzas do be like that). Doing a second one each year just isn't something I have the time for, so if someone else wants to write up a poem specifically for the Halloween project, they can do it. I gotta save up my ideas for the rhyming novellas I write once a year 😄

Ah, fair enough. I understand the history of that now, and as a fellow writer, yeah...shit can take awhile to plot out and edit, especially if it's that long.

I'll see how it goes, then. I might make it simple and like some weird opposite to what you do yearly. Call it a...'Halloween Haiku'. Or something equally catchy and short form. :P

IT IS JUNE 1ST, MY DUDES AND DUDETTES!!

That means...this has officially started! :D Yay! ~ Excitement!!

I'll be looking to make a Discord server for this today, and will post an invite to the CRAC server here for those who aren't there, but wish to participate and communicate via Discord.

But your time starts now, and you have until October to get stuff in!! The earlier, the better!--but take your time (you've got plenty of it) to get your tracks done, get feedback on them, and send me those pre-mastered WAVs!

I very much look forward to everyone's spooktacular contributions. ♡♡♡ :nicework:

Welp, good news everyone!!

Finally managed to get in contact, and have access!

I'll make the channel / threads in a jiffy! :D

Is the link out already, or is it still made? I'm a bit confused for some reason (heh).

Oh yeah the track I'm doing is Donkey Kong 64 - Frantic Factory

I can't promise I'll actually have it done on time, but if I do that's going to be the one

I'll add you and H36T's choices up soon, ty for notifying me! :D ^_^

DK64 FF is baller, and would be glad for it to be on the album! If you have troubles with it, just keep in touch and keep me informed. We can work something out, I'm sure. ♡

Tracks updated! ♥

I might be utilizing the forum's 'CLUBS' function here for this, as suggested by DarkeSword himself. :) I've also got access to the CRAC server as admin / album director, so I will be adding channels for AOCC and AOCH there as well, soon. :D

Here's the link to the server, if you're not already on there! -- https://discord.gg/wKyadaTT

And as a bit of a surprise, The Coop and I are working on the front and back covers for this!! Yay! Progress! :3

Official website details are still up in the air, but I'll be touching base with @tibonev & @colorado weeks on that ASAP.

Hang ten, guys! Looking forward to hearing your WIPs! 🎃🥰

Oh, nice, I don't know how I missed this project, but I love the idea! I just love creepy stuff (how creepy that sounds like! haha)

Maybe a bit late, but I have a very rough WIP for a track that I think it'd fit this album pretty well. It's a dark/horror/creepy/whatever arrangement of the boss theme from Terranigma, highly inspired by that annoying boss, Bloody Mary. Terranigma's anniversary is in October too and I'd love to make a video with it once it's finnished, so the plan is just ideal.

So far it's 100% MIDI but the structure has plenty of progress. I'm pretty confident with my arranging skills and ideas but everyone in the VGM scene seems to hate my mixing haha, so since this project seems not to be that nitpicky it'd probably be just fine. Still accepting help from performers or even in mixing/mastering if anyone is interested, tho. I can share the latest WIP as reference if that's needed.

I could send you guys a remix I did for Animal Well that's fairly creepy. It would be a slightly different version than the one I submitted to the judges' panel earlier this month though. I can't export an unmastered version without the instances for certain randomized drum loops changing. Probably a couple other instruments other than drums as well.

Hey there! Apologies for the delay -- I have been extremely busy as of late, sorting a lot of stuff in my head and dealing with the auditions for an OCR album that recently had a resurgence. ^_^; I'll get back to this in no time!

Thank you! Welcome aboard! :D I'm a big fan of creepy stuff, too. :) It's not too late at all. ♥ But if you have a rough WIP you'd like to send me via PM, I'd love to hear it, especially if it's the Boss Theme from Terranigma inspired by Bloody Mary herself! :P And I didn't know that about Terranigma's anniversary, so that would even be more hype!

I'm happy to take it for a spin, and you're welcome to go find people to collab with, for both/either performing something or mixing the track. It might be best to do it via OCR's Discord server and ask around, but I plan on trying to master the tracks myself, so if you can find someone to help you do the mixing, that'd be ace.

Would you like me to add your track to the list? ^_^

Sure! That'd be great. You can send me a WIP of it, or the complete version of it that is akin to the one you submitted to the Judges' Panel via PM here. It's OK if you cannot do an unmastered WAV of it, tho -- we can work around that somehow. :) Would you like me to add your track to the list? :D

@Troyificus@The Coop@Unknown Pseudoartist -- I did receive your individual PMs, and I will get to them and reply ASAP. Once I get my head above water and see the results for the audition tracks come past the 30th of June, I'll be in a better spot to focus-in on your work. :) TYSM for your patience in the meantime, and sending me the mail!
