Bummer Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Pixie is starting to become too big for this little pond. Congrats. *throws pie* Quote
Jillian Aversa Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Looks like the recording session will happen on Saturday, May 5th. Still haven't gotten the music, so I dunno how it sounds yet! Quote
Upthorn Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 See if you can get into Blizzard. They might need you sometime soon. Since Blizzard doesn't make games anymore, that would be a severe waste of talent. Quote
Triad Orion Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Since Blizzard doesn't make games anymore, that would be a severe waste of talent. Blizzard makes no games, only expansion packs! XD Quote
DarkCecil13 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 This is pretty awesome!! Congratulations =) Quote

Moguta Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Muy congratulations! Haven't gotten the charts yet, but from what I know, it's looking like a four-minute long, epic choral piece for the main menu screen. I bet you'll quite enjoy taking part in that kind of piece. Quote
OverCoat Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 UFO DISCOVERY [contains animu cleavage and pixietricks references] no I didn't post that :[ Quote
OverCoat Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I just noticed "Disco Dan" in the first post though... like a second ago. /mu/ mostly sucks though, 99% of it is about forgettable metal bands or some dead form of rock. Quote
tyler_lucero Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I know I'm pretty late to this thread, but major congratz Jill...you earned it. Quote
Jillian Aversa Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 WOOPS! Christopher Tin is not the composer on this project; I was misinformed. Veteran Civ-series composer Michael Curran will be writing the main theme, as the lead audio designer. If you think you may have mentioned the wrong info anywhere, please help clear up the rumors. ^-^ Quote

He was one of the composers (remixers?) for the Civ IV: Warlords theme, which is nearly as good as Baba Yetu. Regardless, I'm still looking forward to it. ...do you know if it's a rearrangement of an existing song, or if it's something all-new? KF Quote
The Instrument of GAWD Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Hey, flip out and break stuff when they go; 'WTF is OCR?' or 'LOL those fgts?' Quote
Abadoss Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I was first introduced to Civilization (the original one) in sixth grade. I've been playing it ever since and consider it to be among my top five games. I currently have Civ IV and Warlords on my computer, so I very much look forward to hearing you on the new expansion. Congrats! Quote
