  1. I already said this on twitter, but the dude was a programming legend. The guy singlehandedly (more or less) programmed Earthbound, and shrunk Pokemon GS down enough to fit Kanto in. As CEO, he halved his pay when profits dropped. Maintained a priority toward gamers throughout his tenure as well. The man was a monolith in the gaming industry, and will be sorely missed..

  2. Member of Hal Labs, the creators of Kirby. . Programmed Earthbound. Helped found Creatures Inc., who created a lot of the Pokémon designs, as well as worked on Pokémon Gold and Silver, resulting in Kanto being included in the game (which in turn is often cirted as one of the reason people loved the game so much). Not only gave the go-ahead for the incredibly successful Wii and DS, but also helped out of the designs and even worked on some of the games for said systems. Yeah, I guess he had a bit of a role in things. Can we get a tribute album? It would be a primarily Earthbound and Kirby songs, but it's still stuff he worked on.

  3. This, plus the way he ran his company, the way he always tried to put customers' fun first, and many other reasons, were why he was one of the very few game execs I had even the slightest respect for. He was definitely one of the good ones.

  6. Hi Everyone, I thought I'd share something simple that is not film or VGM related. For my 4 film projects I've completed thus far, reference this thread: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=42680&highlight=Paul+Levasseur My friend plays in a piano duo with his girlfriend and he strongly encouraged me to write something for them. So, I thought about what 2 pianos can do that one can't aside from more notes. This is kind of a musical solution to that. It is a very simply and open sort of a piece which is quite a contrast from other stuff I write but I think it is cool nonetheless. Of course, the antiphonal effect cannot be heard on this recording but it would be greatly enhanced with a proper stereo recording. For the performance the two pianos were beside eachother, one in front of the other. If they were panned right and left, you'd hear all the repeated notes bouncing back and forth. Hopefully I can record this some day! https://soundcloud.com/paul-levasseur-2/meadows-of-silence-performance (Check it out on soundcloud now. Same performance / recording) Maybe you can tell me what this music reminds me of or if you think it would fit in a videogame somewhere. I'm curious what you think.

    Ruku ARTWORK

Cool stuff you've got! I especially like the first one. It's nice to see more fellow visual artists around these parts.

  9. Would you be willing to direct one? A 5-7 track EP could be something the community could pull together quickly, as long as someone was pushing it forward. AnSo asked about a potential album on Twitter, so I know he's interested in creating something.

  11. Haha, you guys I almost completed my Boss 2 remix. It's 90% ready, just a few tweaks and ear candy to add. BMC is working on his track's mastering, and fighting overcompression ans saturation. I will go bother Brandon so he does his. And I'm working on the art too (Andrew's art is awesome). We're almost done!

  12. I'll do my best, at this point Eino's time signature changes are more daunting than working in Renoise again
