  1. Dude SoundCloud's encoding is just straight up garbage. My hats are garbled past what sounds like about 12KHz and same with my wonderful saw stab. It is what it is. I can upload a lossless version and/or HQ MP3 and put it up on my MediaFire if desired. Not a big deal for me to do so. One thing I can say about SoundCloud encoding is that you have to be "somewhat" aggressive with the limiting and compression in a track for it to have little effect. However, it is a hard one to pin down because some tracks sound great. Devotion to the Motif sounds pretty good all things considered, with only some garbling on the FX sounds really. Binary Verve all sorts of garbling all over the place. It really is kind of hit or miss.

  2. I just did some things with this. Got some strings in there, some nice organs, and really well yeah. I just did some things. Looks like SoundCloud is being dumb with the waveform, but it is what it is you know?

  3. This may sound like a knock, but it's really not - the Dark City Treno theme was not one of my favorites from FF IX, a rarity in a soundtrack that I pretty much universally loved. I hope the remixer notes this reality as I am even MORE impressed with the quality of work here! I feel like I'm in some sort of celebratory parade, where the city is celebrating its 100th anniversary or something and everyone's off work the next day. The mix gets better as it goes along, and the last half really showcases some nice handling and adjustments to the main line. Bonus points for the cool ending. I would never have thought to remix this song OR do it in this way - and it works! Congrats on a great tune!

  4. Thanks for the reply. I'm always working on getting my mixing better so I can have a better sound on my remixes. I'm constantly learning as I go. Haha.

  10. So we're in April already, and I'd like to remind y'all that we have a new deadline coming up. The next deadline is April 30! Also a reminder, if you don't check in with an updated WIP or neglect to tell us if you can't make the deadline, we'll unfortunately have to drop your claim. So don't let that happen and check in with us, ya hear? @Blake Inc. and @PabloComa are in the clear for this deadline, they already reached out to us with their status for this check-in. Really looking forward to seeing the first WIPs from @Sagnewshreds, @JonnyAtma, @Fishy, @dannthr, @HankTheSpankTankJankerson, @HeavyViper and @Kylok. Don't let us down and in stead amaze us with the coolness you'll bring! Also looking forward to updated WIPs from @zykO, @Rexy, @audio fidelity, @Harmony, @djpretzel, @Jorito, @Kylok. You're off to a great start, so keep it coming. And of course a shout out to @Hylian Lemon, @Chernabogue, @Sbeast, @Starphoenix, @Thirdkoopa. You guys are nearly there and it'd be awesome to see you bring your track to its completion. Lastly @Yami and @RebeccaETripp expressed interest in claiming a track. If you're still interested, don't forget to stake your claim There's 3 weeks left to that next deadline, so plenty of time to bring the goodness!

  11. For me it had to be the AT-ST fight on the second level of Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for the N64. I've since beaten it, but as a kid, I could never do it. It was the hardest thing on the planet, coupled with the poor camera and looser controls.
