With multimedia speakers like those you should be careful of resonant peaks at the lower end of the frequency rages, having a peak at 80-120hz is a typical problem with speakers like that and after a while can drive you insane, so test for that. Also run some tests to determine the mid-high response at the crossover points so you can compensate in your mixes. I think room treatment as a whole is a bit overrated (even though it's necessary to some degree), what's most important is speaker placement in your immediate listening environment, so as long as you have the equilateral triangle you're halfway there. Buzz words like "flat" and "clear" are trivial because regardless of how flat a speaker is, the room will change the frequency response of what you're actually hearing, having some form of diffusion behind you, and some kind of absorption (like a heavy couch) can help you more than making sure your speakers are flat (which they wont be under the $2k per speaker range anyway, regardless of what the manufacturer tells you). Flat speakers need a precisely treated/designed room, otherwise you're defeating the purpose, that's why buying expensive speakers at home is not recommended.

So I watched the series (I think my fiancee and I binged it over two nights - not a long series, even at twice the length of the first season), and I'll say it's really good*. *The anime is both quite slow, focusing on political intruigue and the emotional turmoil of the protagonists and antagonists, and at the same time quite fast, once the characters had time to be established the crew runs through the castle at an alarming pace. The action is great, though, and the character moments were really something to behold - even got a little teary-eye'd at the end (no spoilerz, bois). But yeah, great season 2, and it's nice to see the anime gave some room for another season or two, if people really want it. At the same time, it could end at this point pretty comfortably - I'd be okay with it either way. Good stuff here, we can forget the haters.

My god spooptober is a great month for PRC.

I've been working on attempts at Psytrance and find the style interesting. That said I think PsyNES knocked this out of the park. It's got great energy and lots of swag. I really like it.

Haha, I'm guilty of a lot of vague and artsy-ness myself (well, maybe not so much with my music these days, but definitely with my old photography and poetry when I was younger...). It is interesting to think of our natural surroundings and to come up with music that supposedly reflects things, like a feather or breathing. What makes us associate certain sounds with objects anyway? Sometimes I get a piano sheet with some vague title like "Sand Castles" and I ask myself: "How on earth do I get a sand castle from that!?" (Or something about summer...or rain or whatever) :D Maybe I'll give that a try myself!
