  1. btw, don't take any of my goofiness seriously. I just like to mess with cat people whenever they are available. It's all for show and fun.

  2. For everyone else currently reading and wondering, this was a simple misunderstanding that I was SURE was pretty obvious who I was talking to. There is no actual problem of any kind.

  3. My brother bought me FFIV: After for the Wii and he said he actually paid like $47 for all of it. With that in mind, I'm literally THE biggest FFIV fan in the entire world (in ways that would really frighten you) and I can safely say this IS the sequel I've been waiting for for 15 years. I've been glued to it whenever I could play it. I doubt you'll be as in love with it as I have, but I can wholeheartedly say it was worth the money.
  4. Ok. That actually pretty much satisfies any curiosity I have left, and you did a great job of it. Thanks man. I'll still be reading your blog and probably challenging it still. Cool man, keep up the good work!
  5. I appreciate that, and don't take any of my criticisms personally - its the general thesis I have a problem with; that somehow in an industry overflowing with blocked doors and locked windows, the lucky one who got in knows other ins to get in, even though he told you right before you started you'd basically never get in. Its like a zygote marketing literature to the other sperm telling them "insider" secrets for breaking into the egg. Thank God its a free blog and not a $24.95 book this time. You probably remember our perspective. Almost Impossible might as well mean Impossible, because few people are going to invest the time, energy, and MONEY into expensive libraries and music degrees and skills for a job they have fractions of fractions of fractions of chances of getting into. The fact is, its common sense stuff. What industry in the world is easy to break into? What industry isn't fucked up with overcrowditation and the Zimdog effect? We know that, and we want to try anyway. I'm just wondering which direction you're wanting to go here. Are you going to offer us some help, or are you going to attack a broken industry? You can't offer us both at the same time - it's depressing. Actually, its insulting. Your Hans Zimmer article was awesome and really eye-opening to what goes on behind doors, but its still not really that helpful, if that's what you're going for. Just one outsiders musings to an insider here....
  6. Attaboy! Platonist saved my life back in The Gulf. Let's hear it for the new Platonist Music site!
  7. You need to stop talking to me all together. The few times we have had exchanges, you have been antagonistic towards me and I do not appreciate it. Do not talk to me again.

  8. It's quiet and needs refinement, but it's actually pretty good. Hardly Zelda, though, its much more like Final Fantasy Tactics.
  9. What is UMPH? Some machines have trouble running the PLAY engine. I think Zircon had trouble running it, but others attest the PLAY engine runs fine. I have yet to try it myself, but it does seem like PLAY is buggy and just doesn't work well on some machines.
  10. Something about this blog bothers me. If the game industry is such a crushingly impossible and oversaturated industry to even think about getting into, why do you bother giving advice for getting in anyway? Isn't that just feeding more hopes to be dashed and helping to create more overcrowditation? I mean, it hasn't offered much advice for getting in at this point anyway, but I still don't understand it. I appreciate you giving it to us straight that you don't just waltz into the game industry, but I still get the idea it would make more sense for you to put a big sign up that says "You know what? We're full. Go home." I think that comes off a lot more angsty and different than I genuinely intend, but at the same time, I have these genuine questions.
  11. DAMN it sounded like fun. I need to find a Knoxville person who's shit list I am not on for next year.
  12. Why don't you just do a DeviantArt or a Wordpress page?
  13. Couldn't I just produce the .flp original file to prove it?
  14. Free hosting? What do you do for your website and how much stuff do you have?
  15. Congratulations, you derailed your own topic in the first post...
  16. I keep reading this as "Mini" Oh noes... which sounds like a hilarious childhood disease or something.
  17. And I thought I took movies too srsly...
  18. I about threw up when that FLP file broke 2GB in RAM and I couldn't get it out. If I was doling out advice myself here, I'd say make a capping point at 1.8GB so yours doesn't end up inflating at the worst possible time like mine did.
  19. Well, like I was telling Zircon on AIM, its probably more for vanity reasons than actual protection I'm discovering. I can only really think of one person who might actually have enough interest in what I do to go to the trouble of ripping me off, and I'm not even sure he's still stalking me or whatever. But I'm pretty ignorant on the subject, so thats why I asked. Glad to see I get some kind of rights to it.
  20. So its $35 per song, or $35 for my Artist name and/or album? I mean, I'd love to be publicly recognized and have that real legal shield so as not to lose good work to fuckwads like the guy who ripped off Skrypnyk, but I need to know my best route to go here.
  21. In my haste to get my Chinese Democracy of a first album out, I've completely forgotten that I don't know how to get my music copyrighted. Because I plan on shopping it around some indie labels (with realistic expectations I promise you), does it make sense to copyright it or how does that work? I've never been very good at keeping this shit straight. Also, how much does it cost?
  22. That was actually a lot better than I expected it to be. Good job, Neblix. Good execution.
  23. Walt Disney IS a psychopath? He didn't come back did he? What bothers me is how soon this comes after I discovered one of my clocks, after its batteries have been dead for about a year, suddenly sprang to life after midnight last night (New Years Eve). The irony of it being a Chrono Cross clock suddenly fills my mouth... ... Also, does anyone else think some people look way too deeply into movies sometimes? I'm not saying there isn't perverted symbolism HERE, but sometimes a demon is just a demon and a dark forest is just a dark forest...
  24. I got a whole big list of bizarre one-liners if you're still looking. I'd prefer the privacy of a PM to link them though, with your permission.
