That's awesome -- ever pretend you just don't get it when telemarketers call?

This is slightly off-topic for the general discussion boards, but I know that someone here will be able to point me in the right direction. In any case, I am in need of some software that will let me rip some video clips (with sound) off of DVD's to a format that I can shove into iMovie and mix the clips together to create a short promo video (the DVD's in question are the Iowa State Varieties shows from the past three years -- I'm on the committee in charge of the coming year's show). Anything anyone has would be great -- feel free to respond here, PM me, or e-mail me directly (it's in my profile).

The newgrounds one is lacking variety... I definitely second the OP's request though. A full orchestra version that had the "you-are-the-best" orchestral hits in would be amazing.

This arrangement is going to be awesome when you finish it, first of all -- good stuff! Production-wise, your brass sounds much better (as in crisper and clearer) than your strings...I'm assuming that you will be tweaking production overall as you progress. Musically, you have a good sense of what you're doing. Since the piece is titled "Fanfare and March", I'm assuming that we're only hearing the fanfare for now. I'm looking forward to hearing the march as well -- how much are you planning on pushing the tempo?

Yeah, especially compared to the two Yoshi's Island games (for SNES and DS), Story just doesn't have enough to offer.

This is sweet -- I enjoyed AMV Hell 3 and can't wait for more of the same -- thanks to everyone involved with the projects you mentioned!

^^ Agreed -- even though I wouldn't mind seeing the names of the people I'm fighting online.

I'd say _slightly_ better, mostly because there are fewer places where you fall into bottomless pits a billion times. Oh, and the travelling is actually a good time -- I wasn't bored with the stylus games until the very end when I was looking for a few things. Edit: Just beat the game last night -- good stuff! My only complaint is that I want a return of Super Sonic as playable during regular levels, and not regulated to what basically boils down to a cool bonus stage at the end.

The TG-CD thing is awesome -- give me Dracula X please.

Who else is up for a first-weekend tourney, before any of us really get used to it? Could be a lot of fun...

I didn't make it to VGL, but was in Chicago for Play! and it was great. I downloaded a bootleg version of the Swedish Play! concert, and you don't want it -- hopefully they release a CD eventually. Jeremy Soule's stuff and Angela Aki live were especially good.

I bought a copy of EB0 on http://www.nesreproductions.com/ (along with FF2 and 3) and it was a great investment. Playing the games on the actual NES gives them a sweet feeling you just don't get elsewhere. As far as Mother 3 goes, wait for the fan translation.

Sonic Rush Adventure is great so far -- the only thing I don't like is that you're forced to replay levels every once in awhile. Still, it's a great game, which is something I haven't said about a Sonic sequel in a long time.

It seems to me that the old hammer was plenty powerful -- I guess this will be good for long, horizontal levels, but it seems like a waste of an item slot.

I second Blaster Master (too lazy to quote because it's a whole page back). Great game that took far too long to play.

It's downloading now, and I can't wait to finish my TA job for the day to go home and listen. I'll post again with a review post-listening. Agreed -- the biggest threat he causes is that someone legitimate gets on board. Jack right now is just seen as an idiot...a fresh new face that isn't an obvious ambulance chaser would be much more worrisome.

I wonder if size of Mii would matter for hitboxes? Or what solution they use to get around said problem...

When (if) Samurai Shodown comes out, I will probably get that series. Other than that, I must have Crystalis on the Wii -- Crystalis and Startropics would make me extremely happy (and make Nintendo $10).

I just got DK Jungle Climber and Drawn to Life, both of which are a good time. Drawn will probably get passed to my fiancee pretty quick though, because she can actually draw, and I can't. The new DK game is a different take on Donkey Kong Country -- interesting, but I'd like to see a mix of the two gameplay styles (maybe have the pegs as an added thing in stages instead of making them the absolute focus?)

I really like the inclusion of the cannon from Superstar -- nice attention to detail!

Having it evolve to Snorlax after eating X amount of items would be awesome. It'd make a great weapon if someone threw an item (see: Ray Gun) at it.
