I don't know how many other people here are also following this, but figured that it's worth knowing about. Press Start is a movie about games by people that actually play them, so the comic references will _actually_ be funny, etc. The people working on this are all quality -- Jake Kaufman (virt) is doing the music, and some of the actors from Mortal Kombat are involved as well. In any case, what follows below is the e-mail I got regarding the release. I really enjoyed the chord progressions here -- good work! With that said, it feels like the piece should pick up and be something more than it is...as if this was the intro to a larger work. I'd really like to see a fuller orchestral sound end the piece instead of the quiet reduction. I like what you have, but want more. Could be that I'm just greedy for more GS material...

Just finished the article, and I'm amazed. I can't believe that a band featured on TV shows and Warped tour has to work so hard to make it work -- I wonder what my local bands go through to play...

Well, we've got to get Sonic or people will throw a fit. I'd also like to see Megaman make an appearence...and maybe a Square-Enix character (Yuna would be an awesome choice, but she wasn't on a Nintendo platform...so Kain's new look for the FFIV re-remake?)

I must admit that even I'm looking forward to giving this a whirl in a few days. Normally I'm one of those "quit Halo and play ut2004, you stupid *******" crazies. But for a little while, I'll jump on board again and play Halo. ....until UT3 comes out, anyway

I've had the previews in my inbox for a while now, and just found the time to listen to them. As usual, your voice is just so good, pixie! Most impressive moment for me recently though isn't off the previews, but how you sing all the way through the long phrase on "Deliverance of the Heart" -- good stuff! There is a lot more story, and some of it is pretty crappy. Marine isn't a good addition by any means. With that said, it's all skippable, and none of it is so long that you'll hate reading it just once.

Hell yes. And he deserves it in that game, where he's actually quite difficult.

Ness was a little over-nerfed in Brawl, IMO. But it doesn't matter because we're probably going to get Flint instead anyway. If for some reason we still get Ness, PK Rockin' is definitely the way to go for his Final Smash.

Looks like this is the only game that can convince me that I need a PS3. Well, until FF13 comes out, I guess...

I'd definitely be in for a brawl clan, but I highly doubt Nintendo's online stuff will give us any kind of capability for it.

This is slightly off-topic for the general discussion boards, but I know that someone here will be able to point me in the right direction. In any case, I am in need of some software that will let me rip some video clips (with sound) off of DVD's to a format that I can shove into iMovie and mix the clips together to create a short promo video (the DVD's in question are the Iowa State Varieties shows from the past three years -- I'm on the committee in charge of the coming year's show).
