  1. Holy cow, this is amazing. For a title, how about (un)Holy Breakdown? If only there was an ending on it this would be epic. Finish it!
  2. Holy cow, that's some sweet edge guarding, especially with a projectile.
  3. The "No, Boom" comic was epic. Success all around -- give us more!
  4. I also played the demo, and I can say that while it's going to be a different experience than the Xbox game, those differences don't necessarily mean that it will be worse. I'm looking forward to the release next month!
  5. Wow -- that's a ton of tracks updated. Well done!
  6. Golden Sun battle medley?? Fuck yes -- especially Jenna's battle music from the opening of Lost Age.
  7. I own an R4, and am very happy with it. In addition to trying a few things before I buy them (comparing Jam Sessions to Hannah Montana: Music Jam before dropping the money was especially helpful...) and getting some games I just couldn't find through legitimate means (Electroplankton), the homebrew scene is awesome. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet, go get Colors! from somewhere -- it's especially neat on the DS's screen.
  8. ^That pic is epic. 10/10. He really was almost there when that awesome tackle break / pass occured. Great ending to the best Super Bowl game in recent memory. As far as commercials go, I think that the oboe playing linebacker was great, as was the one with the Bud Light hidden in the cheese wheels. Worst commercials were anything that had to do with the Hyundai Genesis -- what a waste of their money IMO.
  9. Arek, I'm glad I took your advice -- that EB track is amazing. Still, it's too bad that there is absolutely no Startropics love for Brawl...boo!
  10. Here we go! Game: Startropics System: NES Tune: Dungeon Theme Sources: Original NSF soundtrack Original as MP3 Barebones MIDI And as references: More realized MIDI Youtube video of the remixed C-Island stage featuring a remixed version of the tune as found in Startropics II.
  11. The only thing I can add to the discussion is that once you get an idea of the basics and can follow through with what Katsurugi has explained, realize that some of the moves with high priority don't look like the logical move in a given situation. The best example I can think of off of the top of my head is Guy's crouching MP, which is a great anti-air counter (combo it into his throw). It doesn't make sense, but it works. Many other characters have "awkward" moves like that, and _that's_ where sites like shoryuken come in handy.
  12. Done for all the artists you've listed. No reason to not help out for free!
  13. Happy birthday -- and wow, there are people that don't remember the 80's! I join the ranks of old...
  14. I wish I could just go to sleep for a month or so. Hopefully Smash will get me off of my latest RO kick...
  15. I agree with both of you -- static defenses are best placed in the middle of bases as detectors backing units (a spore tower backed by a few lurkers and hydras makes a better defense than a combo of spore / sunken, for instance). Back on topic, Raynor's new bio is sweet. I love that they have given him problems -- it makes him much more believable. I can't wait to hear more about the plot!
  16. His main website has some really cool demos of how to create an interactive whiteboard with an IR pen and a Wiimote...good stuff.
  17. ^Even less complicated than that, you could always use a Ghost to nuke a photon cannon wall etc -- because the nuke range is larger than that of the detection, you could create a hole inside an enemy base through which to strike with more direct means (I'm a Goliath/Tank mix when I go Terran, personally -- sending in 24 Goliaths with 6-8 tanks gives you massive destruction if you can get them inside the base).
  18. I have some things going on this month, but I desparately need to get going on...something. Put my name down, and I'll take on anything!
  19. ^ Don't forget about defilers and queens. They seem useless at first, but parasite and spawn broodlings make for good spying and anti ground defense. Defilers Dark Swarm ability lets hydras fight carriers effectively, and if you can get them in, Plague is basically a longer-lasting psi storm that hits buildings. Great for a group of supply depots... With all that said, I do agree that the Zerg ultimately have to swarm to win, which wasn't the case with the other two races where you have more options on the covert side of things...
  20. That's sweet. I'd love to play Metroid with that stuff enabled. Similarly, who wouldn't want to actually have to duck out of the way with RE: Umbrella Chronicles? Nice find.
  21. FF games usually have a boss to wrap up the plot neatly, but it's failed a couple times: FF1 Chaos neatly wraps what little plot there is full circle (literally). FF2 Emperor was fairly bland. FF3 terrible -- no plot connection at all. Should have made Zande be the last boss. FF4 Golbez is sweet, but Zeromus doesn't cut it for me, though he's the best of the "bad". FF5 Exdeath well connected to the plot, but I would have liked to see Enuo. FF6 Kefka is amazingly badass...and he's the only villain on this list to succeed with his plans. FF7 Sephiroth is the coolest, though Kefka is still more fun. FF8 Ultimecia doesn't get enough plot mention the first 40 hours of the game. FF9 even worse than FF3/8 -- the endboss is a random character that hasn't been mentioned the entire game. FFX Plotwise, the best villain yet. As far as Nintendo goes, Ganon is the only "evil" boss that comes to mind. They've never had any other crossovers, so it's hard to say if there will be a clear boss above the bosses. Let's bring back Wart from Subspace!
  22. The "extra" stage isn't a choice -- it's a "bonus" level designed to kick your ass (MAX 300,l MAXX Unlimited...etc.)
  23. Happy birthday! Do something exciting with your day!
  24. This could be the only moving stage that I'll actually enjoy playing.
