I love working with singers, it's been many a long year since I've been able to. unfortunately I can't write lyrics. Also, I would be interested in using your skills for a full track, not an a cappella.

Last console I really was jazzed about was the Gamecube. And I was in my 20s when I got one, so it wasn't childhood nostalgia. Honestly, I don't seem to get into many games these days. Video games directly competes with music as a hobby, and music usually wins lately. But honestly, none of the new consoles is remotely interesting to me. Even my enjoyment of certain Wii games is tempered by my dislike of the controller.

That's the opportunity you guys missed, you should have been holding wads of cash when you shot that trailer video.

I've played the X series through X4. Actually I started X5 but got bored and never made it far. As such, it seems weird and frightening to me to play as a Mega Man who can't wall jump.

This is one of those times I wish I had played any of the mega man games.

Well it seems pretty close to the original, so the judges would prolly ding you for that. As far as production goes, lots of boominess going on. You need to get in there with an EQ and really chisel out those low mids. The timing seems off in places as well. Nice concept, reminds me of the beginning of Zealous Entropy. Needs some mix and editing work.

It's not because you wear animal skins?

Perhaps a weird question, but do you actually prefer mp3 for subs? Or do you mind FLAC? Makes little sense now, but perhaps a decade down the road when we have 10x the storage space. Then you have a HQ version at hand.

Omnisphere, Trilian, EWQL... looks like you already have some great gear. Maybe you should explain what sounds you want that your current kit can't accomplish.

I think your orchestration is very nice, it's the samples/mixing that is letting the piece down. Not sure if you can get a better mix out of what you have, or potentially try different sounds. Also, the cymbal/swells/tinkly chimes are too loud for my taste. Keep it up!

Recognize the Slate drums, but they sound weak in this context. Would like to hear a louder kick, with more click. Try some parallel compression on the drum bus to beef up the kit as well.

A certain Danny Elfman sounding track left me completely gobsmacked.

Why is the lead vocal stereo widened? I don't know why people do that. Ditch the widener and add some more compression. Vox also seem quite pitchy in areas.

You people are rationalizing too much. It's fun to buy new gear, and it's healthier than a crack addition. So go support the economy.

Yeah I'm definitely hearing a lot of pumping on the mix, which I don't like at the best of times but is completely out of place in orchestral music. Ease up on your bus compressor, or preferably get rid of it.
