OCR TF2 Team: Gametime 9 PM EST on OCR server MWF + some weekends

Granary, Gravel Pit and Hydro all sound like fun to me. I need a Dustbowl break. Also, is there any updates on having custom maps on the server? I still would love to play Warpath now that the server is full every night. -
This thread needs more Punch-Out!! love. I don't have Wii Fit or the balance board, but now I'm thinking about buying it all over again.

OMG! That's amazing! Do you think there's a chance we might actually see these Avatars show up in real games?!? That'd be the first time anything like that ever happened in video games, especially in the last 2 years!! It will completely revolutionize gaming forever!! Everyone will look back at this moment and realize the XBox Live's Avatars is the reason we are in today's Golden Age of gaming!! "Where else besides XBox Live could you introduce the concept of an avatar and it immediately become a community of 10 million avatars?" - Jerry, Product Manager (3:01) I dunno, maybe the Wii?
-
The way I see it, this is a chance for all Wii owners to improve their system by paying another $20 (maybe) for each remote. How does a PS3 owner improve their 40 gb model with no backwards compatibility? How many original-model XBox360 owners continue to have problems with their original purchase, even after sending it to Microsoft? Each console had flaws with their original design. The fact that you can fix the Wii's so easily and affordably is a bonus.

DUCK HUNT Wii. quack. I wonder if it will work with any games already out that will vastly improve them. You know the ones I'm talking about. That one with the crappy motion controls. Ha.

I say force them to play tc_hydro. If they don't like it, they'll leave. Those of us who love it will stay, and others will join. I think for the most part, the people who love Hydro are not the same who love Dustbowl. Goldrush is still OK with me. My final answer is Hydro and Goldrush. -
I heard the remix, so I played the game

You first. -
Are you sure? Since Neko didn't supply a link, I can't read about it (or confirm it! SPECULATION PERHAPS?!?!?! jk) but the picture looks like it has another input slot at the bottom for another Nunchuk. It just kind of looks like it has a cover now, like the GBA slot on a DS Lite.

It's not because it isn't playable, it's because it's in Japanese. It usually takes them around 6 months to translate it, especially because there's a ton of text in Fire Emblem games.
-
Not too big of a stretch there. Especially because of Marth and the popularity of the Super Smash Bros. series. I'd actually be amazed if nothing is announced regarding Fire Emblem. I think this time last year they showed screens of Radiant Dawn, and at that point we knew a Japanese one was coming in less than a month. I bet the same thing happens this time: no big announcement, but pictures and/or videos, and we'll have ourselves a Fire Emblem game in about 6-8 months. (For those who didn't know, Fire Emblem DS comes out August 7 in Japan)
-
I would have too if it weren't for Cecil Fielder. Hooray sports!
-
Go check out the new DS lite that comes bundled with Guitar Hero: On Tour. It has some art on it, but it's silver. The cost is the same as a DS Lite system + GH:OT separately. You now have 2 more wishes.

I read the post from the Valve rep regarding the overpowered Demo. I don't think she's admitting that the Demo class is overpowered as a whole. She's saying that the Demo's ability to remove a sentry, dispenser and Engy with only three sticky bombs is overpowered. They even named the event the "Winbomb." Although she says they're not sure how they're going to fix the problem, my guess is that they'd have to work on the splash damage so that a single sticky can only do so much total damage. This way, a sticky only does 90-150 damage each instead of 90-150 damage to things within the area. I'm on vacation right now, so I won't be on for a few more days. Rambo, promise me you'll take good care of my #1 ranking while I'm gone. -

That was me. Sorry. Kind of. I noticed that the HLstatsX now includes the kill/death images for several map. Pretty sweet, but I'm disappointed that I see less trends than I was hoping for. It looks more randomized than anything. -
Ya know, there aren't too many good Sci-Fi themed things (novels especially) that don't have some sort of message. That's kind of what Sci-Fi does: make interesting observations and predictions about the future of our society. Just sayin'.

I saw it tonight. Two things that I thought were interesting relating to the crowd: 1. There was a collective groan after the preview for the upcoming stupid Chihuahua movie. 2. The theatre was silent when the credits began rolling, for about 10 seconds. I'd expect that with some sort of drama or R-rated movie, but I never would have guessed for a Pixar movie. Awesome film. It's a shame that a bunch of people probably left the movie hating it. Also a shame that a lot of kids might be too young to appreciate it.

"I was elected to LEAD. Not to READ." - President Schwarzenegger (The Simpsons Movie) I'm going to pick the Heavy class a lot more now. (Especially if Powerlord continues to keep me healed ) They are way better at taking out Pyros than anything less than a level 3 sentry gun. -
Two days ago I bought NiGHTS Journey of Dreams on Wii for $3 from Meijer. Whoa. I traded one in to GameStop today for $14.90 after promotions and EDGE card. Last year when Best Buy had their giant summer clearance sale, I bought SRS and Day of Reckoning 2 on GameCube for $2 each. I also used a $5 off coupon the same fay to pick up Final Fantasy IV on GBA for $5.

Heck, I just like the fact that we are changing maps a lot. I say keep switching maps in and out every few days just to mix things up. First-person shooters start to feel stale once everyone knows every part of a map. For example, I'm sure everyone's realized that I put sentry guns in the same places every time. But don't tell the n00bs! -
That's... AWESOME!

I don't buy a person's body temp affecting tempo recognition. Heart rate? I could be convinced of that. You mentioned that when you are sleeping or otherwise in a state of relaxation that the tempo seems to go faster, and perhaps that is related to your slower heart rate. On the other hand, you said it seems to go slower while exercising, which obviously increases your heart rate. I suppose your heart rate has a tempo. So there.

Wow, I'm really disappointed in the Pyro updates. Everything feels so unbalanced now. I really hope things balance out soon because a mediced pyro (I don't even mean an ubered pyro) shouldn't be able to remove a level 2 sentry gun. *sigh* I'm gonna go pout in a corner, listen to Linkin Park, and update my blog! </emo> -
Well you've got to be bringing an mp3 player or something, or else you wouldn't be active on this site. Trust me, a converter is the way to go. You should be able to buy one at most mega stores like Target. Just make sure you don't accidentally buy an adapter instead of a converter.

I'd try cp_Warpath to try to get First Do No Harm. It's easy to stay out of harms way while you heal heavies and everyone else. I tried cp_fastlane for the first time today, and I completely hated it. I've never had so much hatred for a map before. I feel like the map is too unbalanced toward certain classes. Demos are great because there's tiny corridors everywhere but they can see around corners enough to sticky spam. There are no good hiding places for snipers or engies, except aiming at the exits of doorways. I thought I didn't like Badlands before, but this one is like badlands with less space. Any other impressions? I've played ctf_Turbine before, and it pretty much is a stalemate every time. I suppose that's kind of a weakness of all symmetrical maps though. It's pretty fun, especially for a Capture the Flag map. There aren't enough good ones of those for some reason (see ctf_well for more). -

Phor sucked the life out of me today. I swear, his one goal was to find my sentry guns and destroy them. It all started when he spawn camped me so I couldn't even try to defend on Goldrush, and it never really got better from there. I got really sick of his crit rockets really fast. I never get that kind of crit ratio when I play solder. </whine></bitch></moan> As for Gravel Pit, I'd say try different classes that you don't normally play. That's my best solution for frustrating maps and cycles.
