  1. Another pro-tip is to spend your money instead of saving it. Dying just takes a portion of whatever's in your wallet, so buy those big silly shields and guns to bring your total close to 0.
  2. This game is awesome, but I feel like the balance is way off. Brick is easily the best class, followed by Lilith. Mordecai is pretty good, but Rowland is awful. Rowland could be a lot better if they upped the bonuses given by his turret, such as replenishing health and ammo, but currently, he is the worst. Great game, though. Highly recommended for people still waiting for Diablo 3.
  3. Yeah, it sounds like I'd enjoy this game. I thought that Oblivion was just too big and I never was able to get into it. It felt like a game that I could have spent 100 hours on if it weren't for obligations like jobs, family, chores and sleep. I've been meaning to try Fallout 3 and see if I like it, but I'm afraid to commit after being disappointed by some of Bethesda's other games.
  4. If I loved Mass Effect but didn't like Oblivion, how will I like this game?
  5. I have enjoyed fighting zombies in the daylight. That is all.
  6. I've got a few more albums to list here: Metroid Metal - Varia Suite - http://www.metroidmetal.com/ Bad Dudes - Chronotorious - http://www.baddudesmusic.com/ And I really think it's time for me to get a new OCR T-shirt. I've had mine since they first launched back in 1989 or so and it's really getting beat up now, especially considering that I wear it about 9 days a week. I know it's pretty darn obvious that an OCR shirt (or hoodie!) belongs in a OCR things to buy thread, but seriously, if you don't have one (or both!) of these yet, there's really no better way of getting one than having someone else get it for you. http://ocremix.org/store/
  7. Yes, you'd need XBL Gold. I think this game is better on console than on PC, personally. The multiplayer works really great 360. The other day, I was just chatting in a party with one of my friends when he suddenly joined my game. I found this significant because I didn't have to select a "online" option when playing my campaign. I just played the normal way and he still could join my game in the middle. P.S. Another thing I love about this game is how easy it is to save your game. You don't have to go run and find a save point. You can just quit at any time and keep all your stuff. When you reload the game later, you're at a spawn point that's likely very close to where you left, but not in the middle of getting eaten by giant badass skags.
  8. I swear to God I thought you were going to crap on my thread with some Dream Theater. Again. But yes, a definite add!
  9. Here we are, less than two months away from Christmas already! I want to start a discussion on OCR-related products people should be asking for for the holidays. Last year, for example, I received the following albums featuring OCR artists or video game music, and I still listen to them in my car on my way to work: Jillian Goldin - Origins and Through Sand and Snow (2-CD Combo Pack) http://www.jillianaversa.com/ The OneUps - Volume 1 and Volume 2 http://www.oneupstudios.com/store.php Arm Cannon - Leg Vacuum http://www.armcannon.com/ Helen Trevillion - Inside Myself / Once Upon a Time http://cdbaby.com/cd/helentrevillion Audix - One Day Millenium and SGX - Hero of the Grey Area; http://protagonistrecords.net/buy/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1 What other awesome stuff should people get? Plug away!
  10. I've been trying to "rent" the 360 version from work, but we've been sold out of it by closing every day so far. It sounds sweet, and getting it on STEAM is always a good decision. I miiiight get the PC one instead of the 360 one.
  11. So, random story: I played some TF2 yesterday for the first time in like forever. There were about 6-8 people in the server, 2 of whom where nQa guys. We all agreed to do melee only, which was cool, but after about 2 or 3 kills, one of the nQa guys would start using other stuff, like uber charges, jarate, sentries, flare guns, etc. I'd ask them to stop and just do melee only, like we agreed. They went back to normal kills for about 3 min or so before they started adding "extracurriculars" again. Events like this are why I've never enjoyed playing with any of the nQa guys. They don't break the rules, and they don't grief, but they don't have good sportsmanship. It's just not fun to play with them.

  13. I CALL SPOT NUMBER 4 AND IF SOMEONE STEALS IT I'LL BLAST YOU WITH A PIIPE BOMB IN A FORREST OF PROPANE TANKS OK thanks. Just tell me who to send my Paypal gift to and for how much.
  14. Hmmm that's a good point, I'm not really sure how the in-game bat will work. It could be a code put in the sealed boxes, it could be a sheet of paper, or it could be programmed into the GameStop discs. The demo access will most likely be a sheet of paper available way before the game comes out, but the bat may be one of those "available at pickup" items which would suck.
  15. Except I'd wait for the in-game baseball bat codes to come in first. Then cancel it as soon as you have that.
  16. I just find it funny that I was the one who brought up buying 4 packs for this thing and I still don't have one yet.
  17. Crap, I picked a bad time to be at work. I'm now waiting for the third L4D2 train to arrive at the OCR station. Maybe I won't fall asleep this time.
  18. So who else has a Paypal account and wants to be a L4D2 Team Captain so I can send you money?
  19. Guuuh, I can't bring myself to use homebrew on my Wii. I'm too scared that I or someone else will accidentally brick my Wii downloading an update or something. It sounds cool (plus Zelda hack possibilities), but I just have trouble betting $200 on it.
  20. Dibs. (Hoping for a magical 5th with the magical Bahamut)
  21. WAIT! before you preorder on STEAM, take a look at the 4-pack. http://store.steampowered.com/app/550/ $135 for FOUR copies of L4D2. That's $33 a person. Wes and some of us did this last year with L4D when it was $150. It was a triumph. Huge success. In fact, I believe they accidentally sent him a fifth one. So we should get together and see who all wants to preorder it to get MORE SAVINGS!!
  22. I was going to buy this game at work (GameStop) when someone already traded in a used copy. Long story short, the other employee took it out of the "HOLD" drawer and sold it 15 minutes before we closed (I.E. the time I could buy it). I was sad, but at least it made some kid's day. When I asked the kid who traded it in how it was, he said he really liked it, but he was already done with it because it was too short.
  23. Happy birthday to three out of the four of you. ONE OF YOU GETS NOTHING FROM ME!!
