Amaterasu (Okami) Pikachu (Pokemon) Skull Kid (Zelda) Proto Man (Mega Man) Vyse (Skies of Arcadia) These are our top 5 mascot contenders with 2 weeks left. There's almost no chance these 5 don't make it into the top 10 winners. Who wants to preemptively claim these? P.S. Who knew VYSE was what was hot in the streets?

I could see dropping the semicolon and "naturally" from that first sentence in the last para and just making 2 sentences. There's no need for the two thoughts to be connected by the semicolon, although it's not a big deal.

Movie was awesome. Anyone on the fence, don't be. Go see it.

Yeah, leave "Free Bird". Or in this case SAVE FREE BIRD! This is the only bio where a "Free Bird" joke fits right in.

Cool. Overlooked it because his credit on MobyGames was below the Music credit. Will update it soon.

Since K.K.'s wrapping up, just putting this out there again for anyone that wants first dibs.

In the case of Valis III, the EGG Music album had track names that either matched up to the usage for the Genesis version or were neutral and weren't location or stage names that would need to be verified for another platform. So there, I'm good, though whatever names you find could be alternate names. Some of them are the same. Mercenary (NES| )TX-55 Metal Gear (NES| )Escape -Beyond Big Boss- (NES| )Return of Fox Hounder (NES| )Just Another Dead Soldier (NES| )Thanks for correcting me with more of a side-by-side comparison. It doesn't sound like any of these are source tunes for the mixes we have, but I'll have to familiarize myself with those 4 mixes again. Not sure why you're saying the entire series needs to be updated, this is just about listing missing source tunes for ReMixes. "Theme of Laura" is definitely there for the beginning for that mix, so I'll add that.

Crowdfunded Projects (Kickstarter, Patreon, etc.)
Liontamer replied to DarkeSword's topic in General Discussion
Ha. Nah, it's fine. I don't see any problem with it. You only live once, so why not actually have fun with it? A fun Kickstarter with a bare minimum goal is getting people talking. These guys get it. Sounds like a promotional win to me. -
Yeah, all those suggestions are all unofficial/fan-made song titles, so I can't really use all those. Any song names from SNESmusic or Project 2612 can't be taken at face value. I've got Valis III and Tinhead done. Valis III had an official PC Engine soundtrack release in 2007 that gave me some proper names, i.e. not the 2612 ones. The Tinhead names seemed decent, but I had to find the manual to properly format the track name. Splatterhouse has an official soundtrack release from late last year, so any names I use will be taken from that IF I can find some previews somewhere. The Shadow of the Beast song-names are just fan-made; I'm not aware of any official OST. The MSX Metal Gear soundtrack doesn't actually share any songs at all with the NES as far as I can tell, so I'm not sure why those got linked. Research on this stuff is tough, to say the least, and I'll certainly end up settling for some unofficial titles, but I do my best not to.

Why'd you list THAT? The song titles were never missing from that one, it's an FF6 piece. That said, this has been a mini-project of mine for a few months at djp's request, and I've recently filled out source tunes for mixes from Breath of Fire, Boogerman, Ghosts'n Goblins (C64), Skate or Die (C64 & NES), Spy vs. Spy (C64 & NES), F-Zero X Expansion Kit, Great Greed, Obliterator, Descent II, RoboCop, Lotus II R.E.C.S., Metroid Prime 3, Slalom, Klax, Stormlord, Mach Rider, Lost Patrol, The Human Race, SimCity 2000, Highway Hunter, Super Star Soldier, M.C. Kids, Kung Fu, Demon's Crest, Gaiares, Blazing Lazers, Splatterhouse 3, Tomb Raider, Zanac, Wizball, Terminator 2, Crystalis, The Last Ninja, Ultima IV, Ultima Online, William Wobbler, Gauntlet III, Ultraman 2, Vortex, E.V.O., X-Out, Solar Jetman, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Ninja Gaiden II, Sonic Crackers, Luigi's Mansion, Escape from Monkey Island, Awesome, Raptor, DarXide, Ecco the Dolphin (GEN), Lemmings, Jurassic Park (GEN & SNES), Heroes of Might and Magic II, Fear Effect, Gauntlet, Linus Spacehead, Shivers, Tecmo Cup, Revolution X, Star Fox 2, Shadow of the Beast I, II & III, The Legend of Kyrandia, Wizardry, Shadowgate, Extreme-G, IronSword: Wizards & Warriors II, Shining Force III, StarTropics, MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries, Lords of the Realm II, Top Gear 1 & 2, Metal Gear, Monkey Island 2, Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, Rayman 2, Illusion of Gaia, and Wario Land II. Lots of one-offs, but important for me nonetheless. So, missing songs ARE being investigated. As far as songs for stuff like Illusion of Gaia and other games, I'll look into some more of those things when I have some free time. But generally speaking, I dislike using any unofficial, fan-made or generic track names. For example, I know Top Gear 2 has some location names used for the SPCs, but there are actually multiple locations associated for each track, not just one, so I'll have to see if there's a better way to reflect that. If not, maybe we can use what you have. I rely on manuals, official soundtracks, playthroughs (when available), and endorsed names by the copyright holder or composers for naming information. I already have a list of games lacking songs for their ReMixes. Anyone's research is appreciated! • all ReMix source tunes researched as of July 2017

No idea, but some initial sources: http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/K.K._Slider http://nookipedia.com/wiki/K.K._Slider http://animalcrossing.neoseeker.com/wiki/K.K._Slider http://www.ssbwiki.com/K.K._Slider http://nookipedia.com/wiki/List_of_K.K._Songs http://animalcrossing.neoseeker.com/wiki/K.K._Slider_Songs_(ACCF) http://animalcrossing.neoseeker.com/wiki/K.K_Slider_List_of_Songs_(ACWW) EDIT: Also, I'm more than willing to call it that Amaterasu, Pikachu, and Skull Kid will DEFINITELY make it into the next group of added mascots at this rate. Anyone wanna start those?

OCR Mascots: Class of Spring 2013 - Voting Closed
Liontamer replied to Liontamer's topic in General Discussion
They are removed. The images were removed. There's nothing wrong with the bios being in the Wiki, so they will always be there, just sans images. -
Been watching this Teddie bio progress and continue to be impressed with how you guys collectively improve it.

No, and that naming convention wasn't a problem to begin with, so that speculation's inaccurate. -

He said Reyn, so count that as a write-in #1 and push the others down. -
We can defer to the bio editors' judgement, though if you think it's a huge spoiler, then feel free to take it out.
-
No worries, if it's a spoiler, then there's no need to include that info, I just noticed the human form and a bunch of in-game pics of that on the Wikia page.
-
Fixed the system. We don't need to list every platform a specific game came out on. Also, what's up with Teddie's human form vs. wearing the outfit; in other words, is there any explanation why he wears the suit? I didn't see anything about that in the article so far.

*NO* Final Fantasy 6 'A Waltz for a Kingdom' *RESUB*
Liontamer replied to Liontamer's topic in Judges Decisions
Sorry for the wait on dealing with this, jn. For the the rest of the Js, I originally form lettered the first version of this sub because he was open to tweaking it, so I'm the only one who's heard it before. :53, 2:25-2:27 & 2:41 has some brief, light distortion that's more audible on headphones, and there are very light clicks & pops from 2:06-2:13 that are almost inaudible due to being swamped out but were also worth noting. The sample quality still leaves something to be desired, and I thought the mechanical articulations, most obviously the piano, aren't fooling anyone and drag the quality down over the course of the 3 and half minutes that I'm on the borderline leaning toward NO. Like I told you the first time you submitted this, the production quality was holding back an otherwise strong arrangement. I did also say I felt the mixing was hurting this more than the sample quality, and that was definitely true, but even with the mixing improvements here, the stiffness of the piano sequencing is pushing me to a borderline NO even though I still like the track and hope it has a chance of passing (either in this iteration or another revision). It's a really strong arrangement where the mechanical timing of the piano (the strings had some issues, but not nearly as much) isn't the worst thing ever, but is such a focal element that it needs to sound more humanized before I can get behind without voting against my true feelings. It's close, but needs a LITTLE more improvement to be above the bar, IMO. Don't be discouraged, this is so close if it doesn't make it. NO (refine/resubmit) -
Contact Information Your ReMixer name: jnWake. Submission Information Name of game(s) arranged: Final Fantasy VI. Name of arrangement: "A Waltz for a Kingdom". Name of individual song(s) arranged: "Coin Song" and "Edgar & Sabin's Theme". Link to my arrangement: . Links to sources: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6DwKL87XVA and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njdju0gL_xk . This is the first remix I ever finished and even submitted it back on August last year. However, there was some trouble with the mail I sent and the mix didn't get through. I later asked Larry to reject my submission because I felt I could do a much better job... And that's what I'm sending now! Anyway, this mix was born when I was playing "Coin Song" on the piano one day. Suddenly, I thought "How would this sound in 6/8?" and I adapted the song to that measure. I liked it and ended doing an orchestral waltz-y arrangement from that! I added "Edgar and Sabin's Theme" because of the connections between the themes musically and in the games and also because I wanted more melodies to work into the mix. The arrangement, despite the measure change, is quite straightforward, using the sources in ways that are easy to recognize. Source breakdown: 0:00 - 0:35: "Coin Song" (CS) intro played on the piano and switching from 4/4 to 6/8 in the middle of it. 0:36 - 1:02: First theme of "Edgar and Sabin's Theme" (EaST) is played by the 'orchestra' (piano + violin, viola and cello). 1:03 - 1:33: Second theme of both CS and EaST is played first by a flute (joined by a bassoon) and then by the cello. 1:34 - 2:22: Third theme of CS is played by the piano, then joined by the woodwinds and later by the strings. There is a simple transition from F# to A at the beggining of the section. The transition to the next section is took from EaST. 2:23 - 2:52: Repeat of '0:36 - 1:02' but now with the woodwinds also present! Piano also has some more interesting tricks and stuff. 2:53 - End: Slightly original section based on the chord progression from the intro. -------------------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6DwKL87XVA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njdju0gL_xk
