As much as I hate scrolling stages and think we're getting way too many, this stage looks really freaking cool. And occasionally getting World 1-2 instead? Awesome. Although that would have been a really nice surprise...

I don't think we can be sure of Lucario. It's really blurred, and there's not much in the way of distinctive features for him. Jigglypuff is definite, and I can definitely see Ness in the unzoomed screenshot. It's possible it could be Pokemon Trainer, though. The second figure in the zoomed one looks like Lucas to me. Also that's Zelda's FS? Really? Cause that won't hit anyone ever.

I remember Ice Titan from Kingdom Hearts being really freakin hard, since most of the fight consisted of reflecting back the icicles he shoots at you to take off tiny fractions of his health with each one. Took me countless tries...and if I recall correctly Sephiroth only took me 2 tries (er, on second thought I'm probably thinking of KH2; Sephiroth couldn't have been that easy in KH). That last Riku fight was also really tough. Too many times he killed me in the middle of a frantic heal. Still one of my favorite boss fights ever though. It's too bad KH2 couldn't rival the KH bosses. Fuckin' reaction commands ruining everything.

Sometimes people call me cynical. I'm not really, but sometimes I just feel like being a prick. I don't use this name anymore, though. I'm mostly using Scufo (a horrible typo of scifi; missed the i on both sides). Occasionally I'll also go by Universal Solvent because I'm a goddamn nerd. I'm still trying to think of something good to stick to.

Well tits. Looks like Nintendo's taking a page out of Valve's book or something. This game better be fucking awesome. And yeah merging with the Wii thread would be good I guess because otherwise you might as well just unlock the brawl thread.

The latching thing is going to be so annoying. Think Lip's Stick but fucking CONSTANTLY. I guess the object would be to make Olimar run down his Pikmin count before taking him on. I'm really starting to realize just how dynamic he's gonna be. You gotta catch him before he builds up a force, then keep on him so he can't escape. Of course this wouldn't be too hard in 1-on-1's, but in team battles or free for alls he could easily keep all 6 Pikmin, which gives him crazy recovery. But then again he has worse-than-Yoshi recovery with none. I'm really loving this whole power fluctuation thing. Much kudos to Sakurai. Yeah I'm playing Olimar first.

We're 15 days from the Japanese release. It'd be crazy to announce a delay now. Gonna wait for Nintendo's say before I jump to any conclusions, but a delay seems pretty unlikely at this late stage.

HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT Wasn't expecting this at all. Olimar's by far my most wanted character. Interesting how they're looking to pull it off. It's really awesome how Pikmin is getting some representation. It's an amazing series that more people need to try.

More like internet by Jan. 27, and for every character. EDIT: Also I like Brinstar. I wouldn't choose it over, say, Fountain of Dreams given the choice, but it's a hell of a lot better than some other stages.

Bringing back a whole buttload of Melee stages, eh? Corneria, Brinstar, and Onett, good. Others not so good.

Funny how they can get away with just showing random gameplay clips followed by a picture of the case for a commercial in Japan. In the US most people would be like wtf is this on my TV? We gotta have live action and whatnot. Or at the very least in-game cutscenes. Y'know, cause they're prettier.

Nah, the thread's main purpose was always Brawl. It was made in the hope that the next SSB would be announced at E3. Although yeah, it kinda became an "all things smash" thread for a while. I just realized this thread has been around for over a year and a half. Holy shit.

Yeah, probably fake. Sakurai has explicitly stated that no records will be kept online, so that basically debunks him right there. Also Cecil sounds extremely unlikely, as well as Knuckles. Sonic is more of a token character than anything. I highly doubt they'd bring in any more of the Sonic universe.
