  1. This. This right here. I had to calm myself down while playing through this level. Good god I hate murky water.
  2. Thank you for describing the mid-Atlantic ridge as well as any deep body of water.
  3. On the subject of dreams, I think the freakiest game dream I ever had was wandering through an empty school that had clutter all around it like the school in Silent Hill. It even had the same creepy lighting. So I eventually get to the second floor and turn into a big hall. It's empty save for a door at the left end of the hall that presumably leads to an auditorium. I get closer and I start hearing that overused laughtrack(you know, the one at the N64 logo of Diddy Kong Racing). I start walking closer, and I hear a shrill scream not unlike something out of The Phantom of The Opera, then I hear a loud slam of some kind, then a baby starts crying. Then I wake up all covered in sweat. Damn it scared the shit out of me.
  4. Random topic I know, but it just came to me while thinking of Shadow of The Colossus. I just remembered how the very murky water that you fight one of them in had my aquaphobia(not to be confused with hydrophobia, which is not actually fear of water) kicking it into high gear. Any seemingly innocent game scenario screw around with your heads?
  5. I demand a remix of the Tornado Man and Splash Woman themes post haste.
  6. I always thought that MM Zero was an awesome attempt at a post-apocalyptic societal crash mixed with rebellion against a dystopian rule with no real heroes in sight setting.
  7. Holy god those achievements are hardcore.
  8. This right here. I can't believe I forgot this.
  9. Long live Toonami. The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest Dragonball Z Yu Yu Hakusho Reboot Megas XLR Tenchi Muyo and Universe Gundam Wing, G Gundam, Gundam 0079, and motherfucking Gundam 08th MS Team Outlaw Star Rurouni Kenshin Justice League Batmam: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond Blue Submarine 6 Cowboy Bebop Ronin Warriors Samurai Jack Macross(although I saw this one years before Toonami late night on CN) So much good shit from Toonami. So many good memories of getting home from school, turning on the tube and watching Johnny Quest or something else. The videos, the game reviews. Everything about Toonami was amazing. It's been a long time and I've grown up a lot, but Toonami, and the Cartoon Network of olde will always hold a special place in my heart.
  10. I also thought this was cool drum and bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLXqdvMbDHU
  11. Unless of course you're one of us that you know, actually wants to play the game.
  12. Oh my gods I have to watch Baccano now.
  13. Macross Frontier has some good stuff by the way of May'n and Megumi Nakajima, who play the singing voices of Sheryl and Ranka respectively. Can't go wrong with Koh Otani who composed the stuff for Haibane Renmei as well as Shadow of The Collosus and Ico. Hitoshi Sakamoto did the soundtrack for Romeo x Juliet, which sounds very much like his work on FFXII, FFT, and Vagrant Story. Also fuck yes Hellsing.
  14. Does the guitar still suck?
  15. Tangential learning is what garnered A LOT of my interest in history, music, art, poetry, etc. All of this provided by video games. Tangential learning in action: Looking up the Sephiroth.
  16. This could be a possible detriment to your enjoyment of Code Geass, or anything good for that matter.
  17. Holy. Crap. Code Geass. You did NOT just do that. I still love this series. Also Macross Frontier is pretty amazing as well. This has been a good summer for anime and once Geass is over, season 2 of Gundam 00 starts up again. I hope you're still fully secured in those chairs kiddies, 'cause this awesome ride is far from over.
  18. Said the guy who loves Smash Bros.
  19. I'm actually having no real problem with Chrome thus far, and I like it. The interface takes some getting used to, but I like the changes they made here and there.
  20. Well you're right, only time will tell. I don't think the drums look that bad though, and the whole thing about the buttons being farther engraved into the actual neck and the strum bar is "less gummy" doesn't really reassure me as much. I like the buttons to stick out on the guitars. Also, The reinforced pedal is great, but we never had a problem with the original either. I mean it's not like we were throwing it against a wall or totally stomping the fuck out of it.
  21. That depends. Are you Japanese? But seriously, I don't think it would make you grab a 360 unless you either: A) Like the Tales series. Like action-oriented JRPGs. C) Like good games. In my opinion, it kind of sweetens the deal to buy a 360, what with all the other games out and coming out, and with a 60 gig pro going down to $300, I don't see why not. Join us, Darke. Join us, Darke.
  22. I'm probably gonna grab it anyway in the future. For now, current budget concerns prevent me from grabbing them all at the same time. Not to mention all the other 360 shit I wanna buy...
