Live Action Cowboy Bebop in the works
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to rem's topic in General Discussion
I don't think Cowboy Bebop would need that huge of a budget as compared to Iron Man, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have one period. The thing about Bebop though is that there really isn't that much continuity in the series save for around 6 episodes or so, so in that regard, they can't really mess up. That being said I'd hope that it wouldn't end up as an hour and a half long episode like Knockin' On Heaven's Door was. And as for casting Edd and Faye? Well it could always be a prequel about Spike, Vicious, Julia, and their involvement with the Syndicate. I dunno. I guess I've always thought that movies based off videogames/anime could really work given the proper effort, but so many directors and producers just see it as a way to cash in. -
This is actually one of the topics my neuropsych presentation touched on, and it's something very fascinating to me. I'll give you the short answer so as not to bring in discussion of broca's area, synaptic pruning, mylenation, or gray matter and white matter and a whole other slew of babble. Short answer, yes, you can still learn an instrument, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. However, you DEFINITELY would have had an advantage starting at an earlier age, and by that I mean around 7 or 8, and who the fuck knows what they want to do at that age(rhetorical question)? To be fair, it's generally any time before and during adolescence but whatever. Point is, you're good, and the world needs music, so I say you should do it. And besides, like someone else said, it's art man. If you can make it sound good, doesn't matter how fast you can shred. Hell many shredders can't put together a single decent melody at all.

Mega Man Legends = Laputa Castle in the Sky?

Nonsense threads -
This is a cool idea and I support it. If there IS any humor, keep it Zelda-relevant.

Mega Man Legends = Laputa Castle in the Sky?
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to Jabberbox's topic in General Discussion
Here's an off-topic(har har) question then: What DOES belong in off-topic? Now I'll have to give this Laputa a view. Hurray for free advertising. -
It's ever so slightly upped in difficulty, but yeah, it's essentially the same. I just happen to be playing on active mode on the highest speed, but admittedly I goofed up those times I bit it.

I've really got to hand it to the people at Matrox and Square-Enix. This is an amazing remake thus far. I've got two issues in that the stylus controls aren't implemented in a better way and there aren't as many voiced cutscenes as I'd have hoped, but it IS the DS after all. What it DOES have is amazing graphics that are even better during the voiced cutscenes, and btw the voice-acting is relatively top-notch in my book. No voice sounds out of place and I'm glad they included it. The mini-games for building up Whyt(Rydia's new eiDOlon... lol) are addicting as all hell. The battle system has a few changes here and there with the modding or adding of all new abilities. Edward is actually useful this time around. This game earns Malaki's esteemed seal of awesome. (Also Scarmiglione's second form raped me the first time around...)

Castlevania Judgement for Wii
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to EdgeCrusher's topic in General Discussion
They're getting there with the DS with games like The World Ends With You, but things are looking bleak for the Wii as of now. It's sad that this had to happen to Castlevania. -
Live Action Cowboy Bebop in the works

Morgan Freeman as Jet Black, Cristina Ricci as Eddie, and the dog from airbud(could also be David Bowie) as Ein and we have an all-star cast in the making. -
Live Action Cowboy Bebop in the works
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to rem's topic in General Discussion
I think it has the potential to be very awesome as long as they keep to the slick, jazzy presentation from the anime. Vin Diesel as Spike Spiegel. -
I was actually hoping to make it pretty dark, and with a much more gritty feel to it than the actual game series. It would be a revision of Star Fox 64 to be precise, although it would include characters from later SF games tossed in here and there. Somewhat of a cross between Battlestar Galactica/Star Wars, but with the grit and feel of Cowboy Bebop, Firefly, and Macross Plus. I have no idea how I'm going to pull this one off.
-
I was actually considering writing a Star Fox fanfic, minus the damned furries and lack of gritty plot. I'm also a fan of the kind of ending that has no real resolution other than this story is over. No, I was not going to include Peppy saying "Do a barrel roll!"

No joke. I almost got destroyed on the FIRST boss. THAT does not happen. I do kind of like the adjustment they made to Cecil's darkness ability in that he can't do just one hit against all enemies, but rather keeps it active and deals double damage each attack. That's why I put auto-potion on him, but now that I'm thinking about it, I probably should have given it to Rydia.

Wanna talk about massive difficulty spike?
-
My Whyt looks like Charlie Chaplin... Minigames... too... addicting... ack!
-
The problem with the demo is that it thrusts you halfway into the game with almost every ability, and you have no idea what the fuck you're doing or where the fuck you're going.
-
Then you should grab it. I'm gonna grab it myself as well soon. Too much good shit...
-
Yeah if it weren't for the fact that most fanfiction out there offends all five senses, then we probably wouldn't have a problem.
-
I'll be grabbing it at the same time as a friend back home, and we're not to start playing until we both have the game.

I'm likin' the character designs so far. So what? I'm a guy. Deal with it.
-
Misa Jar Ja-OMG SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! That's about what happened at my theater.
-
Who cares about the Star Wars characters? They're cool throw-ins that are just there for the hell of being there, like Heihachi, Spawn, and Link. I had no idea video games had to make sense 100% of the time. If you don't like 'em, you could always you know, not use 'em or not even buy the game.

They can't keep showing flashbacks of Bruce's life in each movie. That's why they called the first movie Batman Begins.
