  1. Sounds like it'd be appropriate for both Halloween or a trip into space. Maybe Halloween in space? Guess it's the theremin. Also, I really like the quiet strings around 2:30.
  2. The prospect of listening to yet another orchestral remix of FFVI didn't sound very appealing to me, but I have to say that it turned out to be quite the positive surprise. The arrangement flows very well, the samples sound good (at least to me); the whole thing sounds like it's from a soundtrack to some epic WWII movie (or maybe a game like Valkyria Chronicles). Nice work.
  3. Perfect description. This remix is awesome. It makes you smile, it makes you happy, it makes you wanna move. It's constantly changing and doing new things; there's not a second of filler. I especially love ~1:08; I wish there had been more of this fast paced stuff.
  4. I'm getting a certain Castlevania vibe from this. Nice. Unlike some other posters, I don't think that this is too short. Considering that the main motif is repeated fairly often (as was pointed out above), making the remix as short as it is makes sure that it doesn't become boring/repetitive. Overall, nice work.
  5. I'm with DragonAvenger on this one. The first half doesn't do anything for me; it's so...vanilla. Production's good, but I just don't like the sound. The breakdown and all the soloing that follows is much better; this is where the remix starts to shine.
  6. Drumwork & shredding are awesome, and I love the "hey"-shouts later on in the song. I do have one gripe with it, though: it's nice to hear what is most likely the most recognizable Turtles-tune in the very beginning, but I don't like the transition from it to the "main" remix, simply because there is none. The music just stops and then starts again, which makes it seem tacked on.
  7. The arrangement has a 16-bit era RPG feeling to it, which makes it easy to feel nostalgic even if you haven't played this particular game. I especially like the parts around 1:30 and 2:40, simply because they sound so lively and quirky.
  8. Staying close to the original melody while using "modern" samples turns this into what I like to call "updated chiptune". The soundeffects just add to this. Awesome.
  9. Nice song. Here, the fadeout works pretty well IMO. I do wish the volume on the bass would've been a tad lower, though.
  10. Good guitar playing, and the synth around 2:00/3:30 is pretty badass. I agree that the orchestral ending is weak, but that's pretty much the only real gripe I have with this remix. Nice work.
  11. Loving the intro & outro; the way it goes from lo-fi to proper remix is pretty great. The tempo changes don't really bother me, and the arrangement is nice. Good work.
  12. He didn't create the songs themselves, but he made some excellent choices. Omni Trio, London Elektricity...good stuff.
  13. Yep, I'd say that extending it would make sense. The arrangement moves forward very fast, constantly changing. Almost too fast, I'd say; some of the parts could stand to be a little longer.
  14. Very relaxing remix with an interesting choice of instruments. I wish the arrangement would be a bit more daring, though; except for the part around 1:30, this does not really go beyond the source. Nevertheless, nice work, and a worthy addition to the remixes of this wonderful soundtrack.
  15. I agree. Just like Bahamut, however, I wish there would be more interpretation; apart from the part around the 2 min mark, the remix stays very, very close to the original.
  16. Agreed on all accounts. Unlike Bahamut, though, I don't think of space when I hear this; the images that come to my mind are deep forests and stuff. Or maybe a landscape full of ruins.
  17. Why don't you do what you did for the Japanese page, i.e. not use any non-english letters in the url? Instead of "http://ocremix.org/info/Category:Información_en_Español", you could use "http://ocremix.org/info/Category:christwheredidthesepeoplelearntodrive" or something.
  18. Good arrangement with a nice variety of instruments; especially the wah-riffs are great (e.g. around 2:40). In fact, all of the guitar-work is really good.
  19. Very upbeat. Kinda reminds me of the PWAA remixes OA did, even though the remix in hand leans much more towards chiptunes. Nice work.
  20. The links to the info pages in languages other than English are garbled, and the ones for Spanish and French don't work (the one for Japanese does, and all the characters show up correctly on the Japanese pages). Firefox 3.5.4, btw.
  21. The intro makes it sound as if you're in for an orchestral remix, but nononono, what follows is actually much better. Lots of variation, lots of different instruments, all around fun. And I have to admit that I wasn't terribly bothered by the horn.
  22. Joshua Morse is one of my favourite remixers, so I just had to get this. The first two songs didn't do much for me, but beginning with the third one, the album turned into exactly what I expected to hear. And it is most wonderful.
  23. The chiptune-sound of this remix seems so natural that you'd never guess that the game remixed was released in this decade. Nice work.
  24. Nice one. The remix manages to catch the whole 90's video game vibe perfectly; I think it might be the lead that evokes this feeling.
  25. Awesome to the max. You definitely nailed the style you were going for. Powerful, full of energy, everything else you might imagine that describes a kick in your butt. Great breakdown around 2:30. The sound effects around 2:53 sound like early X-Files. Love the Vincent Price laughter in the end (that's a damn classic right there), but I love even more what you did with it in the very end, when it all suddenly turns blippy.
