  1. Almost. Try again. About the song: I was pretty surprised by how much energy this solo-piano piece has, and how uplifting it is in some places. None of that overly dramatic "I'm smashing my forearm on the piano keys" stuff in here. Nice one.
  2. Loads of energy, and that's just what I like. Good work. Furthermore, I'm echoing what was said about the scratches at the end of the first minute; nice idea there.
  3. Who would have thought we'd get to hear more Cotmm remixes. I didn't, but I'm very pleasantly surprised that I was wrong about this. Very dark and gritty piece. I like how the remixers play with the distortions, and the ending is simply brilliant. It feels like the last, most horrible shock of a terrible nightmare, which finally makes you wake up again. That's not to say that this song is a nightmare, hehe.
  4. Great mix of metal and piano. The little breakdown from 3:36 on is particulary awesome.
  5. Well, it's only off by two letters, and we all know how easy it is to mix up words if the first and last letter are identical. Ditto
  6. I like the stutter effects which can be found throughout the mix. The anvil sounds too low-end-ish; needs a more 'metallic' sound if you know what I mean. The synth coming in at 1:40 is a little too loud IMO. Also, the last minute needs either more variation (sounds very similar to what you get to hear earlier in the mix) and/or some sort of climax; as it, it's just there and doesn't really do anything. Also also, do something about the ending. Give the instruments, especially the anvil/general hammering a little more time to fade out. All in all, this is quite enjoyable, but not there yet.
  7. Very good arrangement, but some of the synths are killing my ears.
  8. The link doesn't work. You copypasted the wrong stuff.
  9. More Mazedude goodness. The track isn't as, well, "disturbing" as some other of his works, so it's easier to get into this one. The kinda egyptian sounding intro is a nice change, and the synths are great. Despite being only barely over three minutes, this remix packs more ideas than most other artists manage to get into a remix twice as long. In other words, Mazedude. Great stuff.
  10. The cover is hilarious
  11. At first, the vocals came off as pretty emo-band-sounding to me, but after two or three listens, I got used to them and was able to appreciate the song fully. The guitar and drum work is very good, the lyrics are great, and the spoken part is brilliant. I agree that the volume is too low, though.
  12. The last one I remember had "summer" or something in its title IIRC. Anyway, downloading this one. Thanks.
  13. A classic source, and some good ol' rock. This is as oldschool as OCR comes these days, and I like it. Good work.
  14. To me, this song has a certain Mazedude-ish vibe to it. Which works perfectly fine for me. The anvil is a little too quiet, IMO. Could've been a little more in the foreground.
  15. Stating the obvious, aren't we? Considering that KofXI was the only new 2D KoF released after 2K3, the amout of games where "they kept running the formula into the ground" isn't exactly very high, is it? And don't even start to count MI in this; it's a completely different game, and it plays very differently, too. So no "running the formula into the ground" here either. Also, the boss-fights are actually fights and not just the boss spamming the same three special moves. Edit: And by the way, KoF XI was released in '05 (Arcade) respectively '06 (PS2), not 2007. Edit Edit: I finally remembered a game that fits Injin's description to a t: KoF Neowave. I have to give you that.
  16. You missed the point of my post. I was referring to you talking about "lousy KOF games in the last 3 or 4 years".
  17. Then stop posting about KoF, spouting shit like
  18. Sounds like peaceful town-music from some 90s RPG. Well done.
  19. Interesting blend of styles. While the mix is somewhat fast in terms of BPM, it's still very soothing and relaxing. Good stuff.
  20. The only thing this song lacks is some MONEYCASHHOES in it.
  21. No one has mentioned LTJ Bukem yet. I'm very disapointed. Other artists I'd recommend are Baron and Concord Dawn (Morning Light is a great song). Also, if you want some change, try Brazilian DnB. The Sambass collections are great, especially the second one and the second CD of the third one.
  22. Oh god, fuck yes. Wonderful, especially the piano and the vocals. I just hope that you actually finish this one, so it doesn't join my list of never finished GeckoYamori WIPs.
