  1. Thanks Jimmy! Alot of the credit should go to bLiNd, he really knows how to bring a sound to life.
  2. Hey OCR peeps, SONIC ELEMENTS, a sound design company run by some OCR peeps just released a new soundbank for Rob Papen's Blue! The price is $27.95 USD for 160 patches. The bank has a huge variety, even ambient and VGM sounds! Regardless wether or not you own Blue, def check out the mp3 demo done up by bLiNd: bLiNd - Sapphire II - Demo We got 2 other banks for Sylenth1 and Zebra2 as well that contain much of the same awesomeness. Avaris - Valkyrie - Demo 1 Avaris - Valkyrie - Demo 2 Jewbei - Valkyrie - Demo 3 Jewbei - Dragonfly - Demo 1 Audio Fidelity - Dragonfly - Demo 2 Thanks!
  3. Hey thanks for the offer dude, but the project is done! P.S. this dude is pretty good if anyone needs a vocalist for other projects!
  4. Hahaha nice all around dude. Creative title matches the creative wankery inside of this mix. Def some cool chip-tunish awesomeness!
  5. It's a group thang ;)

  6. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...Message boards

  7. AND IT's REALLLLY OLD...yet good Ziwtra and I got everything sorted out with the power to be for the release. We just need to sort out an exact release date. Which will be done this week after I take a day off after literally travelling yesterday for 24 hrs. Want to sleep!
  8. So the correct way to clean your balls is with alcohol?
  9. Ahhh the keyboard itself kicks ass for the keys themselves; not necessarily the shape. When typing loooooong ass papers they are handy for typing fast. The mouse does suck...royally
  10. Ballpark is mid-late september. We just gotta take care of all that wonderful back-end stuff. If anyone wants to change their track name let me know ASAP! P.S. since this project has gone on FOREVER we are gonna scratch the personal bios on the project site. (it would take forever to make sure all of them are 100% updated and accurate) Instead your name will just link to your OCR profile.
  11. Sent a message to DJP and Larry. Waiting on a reply with a definite release date.
  12. FFX was a decent game to sit down with back in the day. I thought compared to modern day offerings it's good points were the battle system and the soundtrack. (zanarkand is awesome IMO) FF8 is prob by far the worst FF IMO. The intro and first mission are downright f'n amazing. But everything after that went downhill fast both literally and figuratively. You have played the original FFTactics right? (that's something addictive with old school flavour to sink ur teeth into)
  13. Doesn't really affect anything though. Abadoss just sent in a killer vocal mix with DA and Nutritious collabing. Def gonna be one of the highlights of the project! Thanks dudes!
  14. Kinda faded out slowly. He dropped his track bc he was too busy and then...that's about it. BTW working with Ziwtra to finalise the website. Due to some people's bios prob being out of date by this point we'll just link each artist to their OCR profile instead of messing with trying to update every bio.
  15. Wow that's surprising that the Cakewalk compressors don't allow you to switch views from Peak to RMS. I've never really found anything definitive in terms of RMS values on individual tracks. The stuff that fishy linked is pretty good shizz. (they got some other plugs too) These are some pretty awesome plugs too: (don't know if they'll work on the newer versions of windows) http://www.digitalfishphones.com/main.php?item=2&subItem=5
  16. An important thing with a compressor when applying settings and make-up gain is one simple thing: The gain reduction meter should flash similar to a blinking eye. Look at how many db's it's reducing the signal by. Then apply make-up gain to increase the db's by that amount. This should give you a nice natural round compression that should increase harmonics and overall volume without killing the dynamics. For an individual sound source a ratio of 4:1 is probably the safest place to start. Also if your compressor has a setting to automatically change the release setting just use that instead of manually putting in the value.

  18. It is. Ken came up with that track a couple weeks ago asking if he could contribute it. It wasn't originally planned. Working on getting the website updated. Gotta hear back form ziwtra to put in the track/bio info in the website.
  19. Going to listen to Taucer's 'solo' mix...soooo good.
  20. Create a new file and assign the piano tools to your liking. Then go to File->Save as Template. Just use that file when you start a new project; the tools should all be in the right place.
  21. Yeah I have used both too. The pencil tool does those things you described exactly the same. Really don't know what to say to ya dude. Yeah there are other differences in the overall piano roll, but in the functionality described above they are the same. I would make a video but I am swamped with work.
