  1. If you'd like to request remixes be done, there's the request forum: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10 If you're looking for other remixes, you could try the Chrono Compendium collection: http://www.chronocompendium.com/Music.html Also, the December 2006 DoD competition (Dwelling of Duels - a monthly competition that focuses around a live instrument with backup arrangement) was Chrono month, and I think there was a Tyrano Lair remix somewhere there: http://dod.vgmix.com/past/dec06/ Finally, there's also a site that hosts all of the removed OC ReMixes (which were removed in the lockdown process to ensure quality and standards were maintained).
  2. Yeah really, there's no defense for this. And meanwhile you have the RIAA going after people with dubious legal ground and ignoring infringement of their own artists who're on a member label. Good job RIAA, your efforts to flex your cartel muscle knows no bounds!
  3. You can buy the slingshot at Nook's store.
  4. Correction about the djping - it's more like sliding your head back and forth, like how the Egyptians do it it.
  5. Man, fuck you Rolling Stones and having to put up with that shitty crap for the final song. Finally beat it this morning, that shit took too long.
  6. I just started Elite Beat Agents today...Highway Star kicked my ass so many times .
  7. I also forgot: Blind Guardian - And Then There Was Silence Power metal in general is a great place to look if you want epic modern music. parasoul's suggestions are also good listens, although I was rather unimpressed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra album 'Beethoven's Last night'. Also, don't overlook the Manowar song because it's Manowar - it's a great ~30 minute song.
  8. Being a movie star is a unique talent? I think not. There are also many people out there who could survive in the athlete world who chose not to go that route. Many of those who pursue it certainly don't deserve the cash as much as people in academia or even businesses.
  9. I think you give those people too much credit.
  10. Also there's: AFAIK (As far as I know) tl;dr (too long; didn't read) rtfm (read the f**king manual)
  11. The Damned: I would ask Rama, since he's done a lot of the stuff out there. Hopefully in the future we will be able to put up other stuff like OCR shotglasses, dogtags, girl t-shirts, etc. I'm not sure about the high quality OCR logo pic though .
  12. Bout time someone posted a comment like that. I thought it would never come .
  13. Aw, I hope it falls around the same time next year, it's really *the* perfect time for me to come there.
  14. I played that game once - it was kinda fun. I've also played LotR Risk, and own the Nintendo Monopoly game (although that game is for meetup traveling). I'd say the biggest thing I was into before though was competitive M:tG. My friends and I poured a ton of money into it and we'd have the cards to compete in Type II and Type 1.5. The only bad thing is that some of the people in the area had all the big Type I stuff so it was impossible to compete on their level .
  15. Oh man, I forgot this song. Gamma Ray is excellent for their epic sounds. Can't say I like the album, but there's one song on it that has this hackneyed epic sound to it, 'Trashed And Scattered'. For some reason I like it, even if it's not the best song ever.
  16. Heh, I might end up with some PS3s sometime in the next few months because I am preparing for a joint venture of starting a video game website with one of my best friends. Things should be interesting with having all three consoles at my discretion .
  17. The Iron Maiden song just puts the others on that list to shame. It's a song that long needed to be in Guitar Hero! I'll be picking this up sometime after it comes out .
  18. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=Estradasphere /obligatory
  19. I own all of the Ayreon albums - I'm a big Ayreon fan, and have friends who're even crazier about them than me. The split seems to be between those two albums though - personally I'm one that leans towards the Universal Migrator, since it captures more of that epic sound that I love. As for Dream Theater, I feel there're other better Dream Theater albums, especially Images & Words. Also, their new live DVD/CD "Score XX" is a great supplement. This thread is more about epic though.
  20. Also, Iron Maiden - The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner (on the 'Powerslave' album - it may be fairly tough to get into on first listen, so I'd advise following along with the lyrics) Iron Maiden - The Clansman Helloween - Keeper Of The Seven Keys (on the 'Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II' album, same deal with the Iron Maiden song) Ayreon - The Universal Migrator (album - just amazing) Ayreon - The Human Equation (album - a metal opera!) Angra - Temple of Shadows (album - this is a must-have album) Manowar - Achilles, Agony and Ecstasy In Eight Parts (from the 'Triumph of Steel' album)
  21. Is it because she plays the guitar too?
  22. At this point, people are just repeating themselves, and so this thread has served its purpose.
  23. Yeah, once I discovered Nightwish, it was bye bye Evanescence. I started getting a higher standard for vocals and song arrangement then.
  24. Well, a huge plus is that the site was coded from scratch. I can't wait to see how this turns out though. We definitely need an OCR guild on there.
  25. Just some advice - you probably want to keep it one person heading the comp, and the winner choosing what game and possibly the settings to be done with it, with the head posting the winner's choice.
