  1. For anyone else using Windows Vista: Is Firefox 2.4 really unstable with embedded flash? This might affect other versions of windows too, i dunno. EDIT: For instance, I can't even open plopbox.com
  2. This is pretty nice. I love the bass in Exodus.
  3. Does either one of the skulls have a switch under it?
  4. I have been looking around for a new mobo for the last couple of days since my USB ports are on their last legs. I am now using an ASUS A8N-E Socket 939. This board and the last ASUS board I have had both went out in the same way, and I really do not want to give it a third go. Does anyone have any particular recommendations? Requirements are: Has to be socket 939. I really don't have the money for anything newer. Preferably passive cooling for the chipsets, but if not I can deal. At least 1 PATA connector. NOT ASUS. EDIT: Not two seconds after I hit submit my mouse quit working again. This is getting really annoying.
  5. Lack of safety also = you getting busted by 220v Also im pretty sure it would be against any sort of housing code to rig a setup like that.
  6. Unless you are running Windows Vista, it won't. XP and below are incompatible with DirectX 10. Reinstall 9.0c.
  7. Supposedly "server space" or "server stress" or something like that.
  8. That should be plenty of surface area. Especially with the benefit of the little added airflow created by your graphics card. It is very likely that that heatsink will provide better cooling than your old one anyway, as the A8N chipset fans move about 1/10th of the air they could move. They are really just horrible.
  9. I think you are referring to the processor heatsink. Carci was talking about the chipset heatsink.
  10. God, the chipset fans on the ASUS AN8 series of mobos suck ass so hard. There are entire threads dedicated to them on some other forums on what to do about them and how much they break. They also cool like shit. You could go the replacement route, but I would advise buying something like this: http://www.svc.com/zm-nbf47.html A fan really isnt necessary unless you have nforce4 SLI (which you don't) or some of the newer 590 or 680i chipsets (which you don't). I just zip tied a yate loon 80mm fan and routed 5 volts to it. Works fine.
  11. I think you are referencing overheating, and there are much better ways to fix that than just running it with the case open. Overheating will cause random reboots however.
  12. How old are they? If they are cheap brand dvds and are more than a couple years old, you could be the victim of adhesive rot in your DVDs.
  13. I really like how they seemed to focus a bit more on the story in TP. Especially with Midna. She is, in my opinion, the best secondary character to arrive in a Nintendo made game.
  14. I want my god damn Metroid
  15. How the hell do they get through the type the image in the box thing?
  16. A 7600GT is also a good buy. Here is a passive version: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814125025
  17. Speedfan works good for monitoring temps. http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php Other than that, just make sure nothing is clogged.
