Hey everyone, I've been having trouble with some samples in a recent project, any samples that i record in edison in that project work fine, but if I drag them into the playlist they auto-stretch to a speed that's about 3 times slower than normal. It only happens to samples recorded through edison in that project, I haven't changed my sampling rate (still at 44100Hz) Is there a setting in edison I accidentally set? and why do the samples sound fine when I preview them in the browser/use them in FPC? It could also be a setting in the sampler, but I'm really not sure. Any help would be great, thanks.

CMC - Conceptual Music Competition 23: Aqueous Nocturne
Zephyr replied to Abadoss's topic in Competitions
Yay! mixing/mastering stage. -
I've never really used reason, but it sounds like it's exporting them all on the same midi channel, did you make the song using midi outs in reason? If you didn't use midi outs, it'll assume they're all channel 1. Try changing the instruments to midi related ones and set the channels to what you want.

OCR TF2: New Server forthcoming - new server IPs and other stuff
Zephyr replied to Bahamut's topic in General Discussion
Argh! We need people in this server! Anyways, I'd be interested in trying this map sometime too (I still haven't gotten a match on my updated map yet either, I'd like to see how it plays) cp_avante_b2 http://forums.tf2maps.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=719 Apparently it's a remake of a map from the original TFC, so it must be good. I took a look at it and it looks like a lot of fun, reminds me of dustbowl. -
Just a thought, you should probably contact people before using their songs in an album (even a free album with songs from contests) I personally don't mind this time that you used my song, but it's something I definitely recommend doing in the future.

What computer/Com-type to buy for remixing purpose
Zephyr replied to kongsmoelf's topic in Music Composition & Production
However if you must have Mac I hear Logic is actually quite good (it's made specifically for macs by apple) -
Keyboard, MIDI Cable, Sound Card
Zephyr replied to Grayburg's topic in Music Composition & Production
Maybe you should do a little bit more research before going out and buying things, if the keyboard has a USB port I'd recommend that, otherwise there are a few other options such as a midi to usb cable or a soundcard with midi (which I'll let others recommend). -
Needs more "Theme of love" Metal gear solid 2.

I'd love it if it had a midi export option or something, but i think I might still get it as it is.

Aren't they remaking IV for DS? I haven't looked into it but that's what I heard. -
The Importance of soundtrack for video games...
Zephyr replied to kriss17388's topic in General Discussion
I think most games can be compared to movies in a lot of ways, ever watched a scary movie or intense car chase with the sound turned off? Epic factor goes waaaay down. The soundtrack to a game compiments a game just like a movie soundtrack compliments a movie. Movie scores are often amazing pieces of music and, if they were missing, the movie would definitly be missing something. Ever imagine a movie without any music at all? Ugh! -
I've never used AVG, but that's what I've seen used the most as far as free stuff goes. Good luck

Currently my count is at 3 I think, I haven't really tried to work on them very hard though. -
Can't Upload My SoundBank!
Zephyr replied to SlickDaddySlick's topic in Music Composition & Production
Okay, we're gonna need some proper info here, is it a sound bank or a soundfont (not soundfront) what is the file extension? How did you try to use it with FL Studio? Also: I lol'ed -
Doesn't look like I'll be able to finish mine, I've been putting more time into my CMC.

First try to make your way to the song's page, this is done by either searching for it in the side bar, then clicking on it's name if you find it. Now, there should be a row of tabs visible, click the one that says "download", this brings you to the mirrors page, choose a mirror (they're all the same) such as dreamhost for example. Right click the dreamhost link and choose "Save target as" now pick a location on your computer to save it to and click save. On a side note... you really need to get out more... on the internet that is.

Thanks by the way, and I made the map a bit smaller after so many people thought it was too big, so that's probably why the file is smaller. "I'm scared now" "Don't be afraid, it's only ham!" -

Zephyr replied to Bahamut's topic in General Discussion
Blood splatter eh? kinda defeat the purpose of having more cloak... By the way everyone, the next version: ctp_epsilon_a3 will probably be finished by tonight, I made some rather large changes... Made it smaller, Took out most of the secret passages, nobuilded cp and flag spots added more ways into the cp rearranged the map to put a focus on getting the cp first, then the flag so teams don't get split up. changed the water area to be a 1 way depending on who has the point. Added a little text pop up that tells people to read the instructions. -

With the distance sap, you would just need a really good hiding spot and hope that there are enough oblivious enemies around to help your cover. Maybe the sapping would only be noticable to the engineer on his display or something. -

That'd be sweet if we got them both at once though, and think about it... "Gentlemen..." "Git along there, little doggies" There's gotta be something to that. What about a sapper that works with line of sight within a range, but has a warmup time and if you ever break aim with the object you have to start over? -
