Yeah, I was thinking of VGM with lyrics originally (Zombies On Your Lawn, Still Alive, Great Mighty Poo, Final Fantasy series has some, need more Prime remixes too) but gotcha on the recognizability.

Some imaginable use cases I can think of that I'd enjoy (brainstorming a bit too):
click on a favourite remixer's profile, see a list of their public WIPs, go give feedback
click on an obscure game in the database, notice there's a WIP from 2010, go pester the remixer in the comments for an update
automatic source link for WIPs (dreaming.. legally grey area)
see at a glance if the remixer is intending their wip to be submitted to the panel eventually
see at a glance if the remix was already submitted to the panel
upload the wip mp3 to OCR for hosting
submit the finished remix to panel in-site
listen to a previous version of a WIP when giving feedback to compare improvements
soundcloud-style timestamp comments

Seems like I lost count of the days. I'll post a link to the snippet I've made in a few minutes, perhaps Bundeslang can add it as a bonus to the round.

I'll sign up in the "just for fun" division too. (: I had a random thought about vocal range - it'd be cool if there were several backing tracks in different keys available, but that is probably unfeasible. Perhaps something to consider from track to track though?

Tyrian? I approve.
I gather you have collected fan-made Tyrian tracks from the internet, and you want to get the artists' consent & put them out on an OCR-released album, right?
What do you mean with "Original Tracks"? "original soundtrack, or original remix"? I don't understand what you are going for there.

Congratulations to the winners!
Yeah, this was fun to do, I liked the original very much. Would've liked to do a more complete (longer) arrangement, there were still a couple of parts to cover.. but didn't have the time. Glad I had what I had though!

That's a pretty fine source, and a Bomberman source too.. tempting.. must.. resist.. looking forward to what others come up with this round though!

I've passed the link around to a couple of people. I just thought of a couple more, actually. Might even try to doodle something myself, though I'm not much of a visual artist. It'd probably be fun though!

Yes! I have a piece under works (a mash up of the first level theme with an Okami source) which was started for Game Duels #2 EP but I guess no-one else is working on that anymore. Would definitely like to do (and hear!) more Iji arrangements.

A couple of things came up, so I doubt I'll finish my piece unfortunately. :/ I really like the original, though! It's been fun tinkering with it.

Good show once again. I think this was the first time someone's phone rang during the show The dropout while Mikeaudio was talking about his getting into OCR was a bit tragic. And I'll third the recommendation for coda's tracer - a great album. Oh and Arrow mentioned Star Control 2 on a previous episode - thumbs up from me!

Yes!
Yes! Yes!
..nope.
But that's seriously one of the games I enjoyed the best and the soundtrack is brilliant, and severely underrepresented on OCR. If someone did start a project, I would certainly claim a track later on.

I got the sampler, enjoying it. I also enjoyed the podcast. bustatunez' Final Showdown is what I believe is referred to as "freakin' epic". Kind of a shame the game itself never was completed, but at least the music survives.

So nice to listen to a new Hylian Lemon piece after a good while. Great stuff as usual, and seems like you've been getting better while still doing your thing!
I have one nitpick, the leads are a tiny bit loud to my taste in the first third. The quieter bit in the middle is of course fine, but the last two thirds in general seem a bit better balanced.

Yeah, I have my round #2 piece almost finished (should work on timaeus' crits). One of the tracks I want to save for another possible project and the other two probably need a lot of work to be finished, and I don't want deadlines (for that much work) anytime soon. But anyway, yes, I could do that one track. Sounds like a good idea too.
