  1. Hooray! I probably mentioned this earlier, but I played the GBA remake and enjoyed the music, so I'm very much looking forward to the release.
  2. Voted! I'm glad I found the time. A very nice round everyone! --Eino
  3. I have arranged & recorded a piece, but I'm still short a few hours of editing and stuff. It doesn't seem that an extension is necessary for the round, so I'll upload my track as a bonus track later today or tomorrow. (I pledged to make a track, and I have! It's just not making it to the competition in time ) --Eino
  4. I could finish my Batman: The Video Game mix for this project if you'll take it! --Eino
  5. I quite like this tune. The spacey soundscape reminds me of some awesome space games, such as Star Control 2. The arrangement is structured and paced quite well, it takes its time without hurrying, giving a nice, laidback feel while having a deliberate forward momentum. Quite a nice surprise. --Eino
  6. Larry's comment about the deliberate tempo is spot on. My favourite thing is the delicious organ sound towards the beginning - it was nice to hear that a bit towards the end as well, but I'd have loved to hear it even more prominently featured! The overall sound is a touch muffled/stuffed I thought, and the woodwind lead isn't as good as the rest of the instrumentation. Otherwise the production's pretty good, with lots of neat sound design - I especially like the "underwater" bit just before the piano part - really there. --Eino
  7. I love this "expanded chip" style done in such an atmospheric style. Super tasty & bouncy groovey! --Eino
  8. Very close to done! Maybe someone fast could still claim a source quick? (= --Eino
  9. Cool that this is coming together nicely. I probably have a few hours to work on my track tomorrow. --Eino
  10. Congrats on the win of the previous round Yami! Like I promised, I will participate in this round. --Eino
  11. WB3 has a fantastic soundtrack.. (yes it's that song) --Eino
  12. WIP 2014/04/29 I keep getting comments about the lack of overall dynamics in the structure, so I need to work on that. Mixing/productionwise I'd like to think I'm close to done. I've EQ'd the leads so that they aren't muffled (thanks once again timaeus for spot-on comments!!) and done some other tweaking, including a fill of sorts near the end, some edits to the bassline to make it flow a little better etc. But the whole structure needs a little breathing room. Should be fun, but I probably need a little break. --Eino
  13. I pledge to participate in the next round. I hope that's an incentive for someone to win this thing. Get mixing! --Eino
  14. I'd be available tomorrow as wel, preferably the same time or later. --Eino
  15. FWIW, I'm comfortable with hugs and cuddling as a member of this community and do not feel misrepresented by such a panel title. --Eino
  16. WIP 2014/04/20 I've tried to do the following: re-EQ the leads vs the rest (bass is less bright for instance) I made the bass a bunch busier in one section put some delay on the chopped up cymbal overall EQ is brighter I'm not sure what to do about the ending, the lead writing is intended to lead into a kind of petering out but I based on that I keep hearing the ending is weak it doesn't seem to be working as well as I wanted. It sounds like it's maybeee clipping a little, or maybe that's just the distortion from the bitcrusher on the leads. --Eino
  17. I've picked Downtown/Newark theme from Death Rally for People's Remix Competition round 269. --Eino
  18. Thanks for the kind words. I've sent my pick to Bundeslang! --Eino
  19. Cool - I didn't know there was a PC version of this game, and that it has its own soundtrack. And that's not all - ! The music in that version is clearly different, where as the PC and Amiga version are similar (but indeed still separate pieces of music).--Eino
