  1. I appreciate it! Also, Tuberz McGee collaboration confirmed on my track!
  2. I have my picks.. but it's not like I have the time to participate! It's been fun thinking about what I would pick if I did, heh. (Just watch me cave in to the temptation and sign up anyway..)
  3. I've sent in an updated wip! Progress!
  4. The attack of the french? horn sound in the beginning sounds kind of abrupt, like it cuts off with each new note. Does the tempo increase during the piece? I liked that, even if I'm hearing things. The mixing sounds a bit cluttered when more and more instruments come in; it might benefit from deciding that some instruments should stand back and others take the front, and even alternate this during the song. For instance, the strings could be further back in the mix in my opinion (after the intro), and the piano could also be mixed lower when there are other leads going on. You can mix say the piano lower in certain parts and bring it up in others. It cuts out at 3:16 right? Overall an enjoyable arrangement, I liked the instrumentation and the way it was growing.
  5. I thought participating would be easy for me, turns out I was delusional. Hence I haven't unfortunately been able to take part, sorry about that (I did translate some of the Safety Dance into Finnish though ). This pick is fantastic though, I have to say that. I feel like sharing , maybe it'll inspire people.--Eino
  6. I heard A Rose for Zelda on VGMix before, which was a slightly different version. I'm not 100% sure what exactly brought me to OCR. I was actively seeking video game arrangements thanks to being a fan of Axes Denied. I ended up reading somewhere how OCR is just a bunch of elitist snobs and thought well, I'm not going there. Then I heard Halls of Abandonment - from the site or somewhere else, I can't remember - and couldn't ignore the site. Turns out I'm an elitist snob myself!
  7. Brad Mehlday & Kevin Hayes - Crazy Quilt (gotta have at least two)
  8. The source for 356 seems wrong, it's the good old Vampire Killer - I can't hear in there.
  9. I checked some of your Youtube videos - you have a great voice and tons of potential! Hope you keep at it, looking forward to hearing you on the OCR front page! :)

  10. Most of my studio: Floor not pictured. We do have a little corner for music in the works though. And I confess I also have another pair of headphones.
  11. Wow, this is a fun and cool concept, I'm pretty sure I don't have the time to participate but I'll try to follow how it goes!
  12. Thanks for all the feedback! I know where to take my piece when I get the chance to work on it again. And congrats OneUp! --Eino
  13. Oo, cool.. good going! Preview's sounding good!
  14. Hooray! I probably mentioned this earlier, but I played the GBA remake and enjoyed the music, so I'm very much looking forward to the release.
  15. Voted! I'm glad I found the time. A very nice round everyone! --Eino
  16. Yeah, the source is again really nice! --Eino
  17. I have arranged & recorded a piece, but I'm still short a few hours of editing and stuff. It doesn't seem that an extension is necessary for the round, so I'll upload my track as a bonus track later today or tomorrow. (I pledged to make a track, and I have! It's just not making it to the competition in time ) --Eino
  18. Well I didn't say how much later I'd add the source link! --Eino
  19. I could finish my Batman: The Video Game mix for this project if you'll take it! --Eino
  20. I quite like this tune. The spacey soundscape reminds me of some awesome space games, such as Star Control 2. The arrangement is structured and paced quite well, it takes its time without hurrying, giving a nice, laidback feel while having a deliberate forward momentum. Quite a nice surprise. --Eino
  21. Larry's comment about the deliberate tempo is spot on. My favourite thing is the delicious organ sound towards the beginning - it was nice to hear that a bit towards the end as well, but I'd have loved to hear it even more prominently featured! The overall sound is a touch muffled/stuffed I thought, and the woodwind lead isn't as good as the rest of the instrumentation. Otherwise the production's pretty good, with lots of neat sound design - I especially like the "underwater" bit just before the piano part - really there. --Eino
  22. I love this "expanded chip" style done in such an atmospheric style. Super tasty & bouncy groovey! --Eino
  23. Very close to done! Maybe someone fast could still claim a source quick? (= --Eino
  24. Downloading! Congrats on the release! --Eino
