I'd rather wait until the 3DS-lite is ready, so I don't waste my money on first-gen fail.

I've had a few great weeks in a row. My friend let me borrow his dvds of all 4 seasons, and I've just finished watching every single episode with my young, tween sisters. (It's their favorite show now, btw!) I really, really, really, really hope that this resurrection goes better than Family Guy's. Wish it luck! Oh, reference, right: "Dirt doesn't need luck."

Donkey Kong Country 3 owns hard. It's easily better than the first game, and is only marginally less great than DKC 2. Levels are fun, vehicles are cool, music is great, Ellie is almost as good as Rambi, and Krematoa is epic. Growing up, I had no idea that the great DKC3 had a bad reputation until I started going online regularly. Now I know, and yet I still can't understand why.

Oh come on, it's not 4Chan (even though that isn't saying much). Because Donkey Konga, DKonga2, DK: Kind of Swing (and it's sequel), and Barrel Blast were all stellar releases, am I right? Face it: DK's post 64 career has been just as bad as Sonic's post Adventure career, if not worse. The only difference is, nobody talked about DK's career.

So, after I'd heard of this game, it instantly reminded me of Sonic, and the game that's coming out for him (Sonic 4). Yet, I find it so funny...Sonic goes back to his roots, with 2.5D platforming added, and he gets a rather rude reception. But DK does it, and everybody goes wild! With that in mind, here was a joke topic I made on gamefaqs: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997764-donkey-kong-country-returns/55219579

I think that way...but I'm serious about it.

My sentiments exactly. 10 years later, and we still don't have a proper console Kirby. The mere thought makes me rage. But hey, it's not like anybody misses Sword Kirby, or Fighter Kirby, or whipping out a freaking lightsaber with Kirby...

My friend thinks that Sony won E3. After reading this thread, he sounds like a nitwit.

That's like saying that you get sick of Mario going down pipes, or Sonic spin dashing through enemies, or Master Chief sticking a Plasma grenade on an Elite's head, or Samus shooting enemies...you see where I'm going with this. If you've grown tired of a character's trademark abilities...maybe you need to go play something else. I agree, and I'm still going to get this anyways. I'm just disappointed, that's all. It's a brand new system, with new graphics and new capabilities. Don't be redonkolus. Would you complain if your funnel cake was buried under a mound of powdered sugar? Yes, you would. So, in my opinion, Kirby's new game is TOO cute. Don't agree, idc. And you're known for never getting the point, meanie-face. Bleck, you have redeemed yourself in my eyes. Even if that doesn't matter to you, I have to give you kudos, you deserve them. Anyone who buys a launch release of a new Nintendo handheld isn't paying attention to history. We all know a new and better redesign of the 3DS is waiting on the horizon. Hold on to your money, and get that one instead.

In general, my mind is completely blown. Outta the park, and in another freaking dimension! Specifically: 3DS: Looks nice, sleek, and seems to be doing everything right, straight outta the gate. I like how you can turn off the 3D, that should make the complaints of headaches stop. Zelda SS: Looks pretty good, but I'm slightly disappointed (and I don't have a good reason to back that up). Kid Icarus Uprising: It's impressive, but I don't have much hype for that franchise, old games or new. Kirby Epic Yarn: Oh my fricking goodness, what a disappointment. What does Kirby need a whip for? What was wrong with...sucking up enemies? Why are his abilities limited to freaking vehicles? What is this sickeningly-cutesy art style? I feel like I just gulped down a cup full of cake frosting. No, no, no...all wrong. DKC Returns: ...Okay Nintendo, I forgive you for that Kirby fiasco. *dries tears*

Bohemian Rhapsody was already confirmed. All we need now is Come Sail Away, and I will offer Harmonix my services in offspring production. -
For those who've played Demon's Crest and MMX4

So guys, I heard about this hypothesis where that long haired guy from Mega Man X time wakes up in the regular Mega Man time and he causes a catastrophe by killing everybody. What do you guys think about that? -
I hadn't thought of airsoft, but if I can't rent it, it's out of the question.

For my 22nd birthday on June 12, me and my friends want to do either one or the other. Which should we choose? (Doing both is not an option.) Here are the pros and cons, as I see it: Laser Tag: + Me and my friends have done it before (familiar and easy) + It's cheaper + It causes little-to-no pain + With the extra money, we can probably go do other things, like Imax or something -------------- - Me and my friends have done it before (boring) - The Laser Tag place is almost 2 hours away from me - I've never driven to this place before, and we might get lost Paintball + Me and my friends have never done it before (mysterious, interesting) + The paintball field is close to my house + It seems more exciting than Laser Tag + Who doesn't want to play an FPS in real life? ------------- - Me and my friends have never done it before (we wouldn't know what we're doing) - It's much more expensive (renting the field, gear, paintballs, etc) - It could be exhausting - The paintballs probably hurt a lot more than lasers (lol) - It could become uncomfortable, considering heat, and the weight of the gear

Some NES "classics" have aged really badly, for me. A few that come to my mind include the original Castlevania, Metroid, and Zelda. Castlevania - The physics are terrible for a platformer, and it's a tough game for all the wrong reasons. Metroid - Slightly better physics, but it's far too easy to get WTFPWNed due to no protection after getting hit, unlike Mario or Sonic games. And once you die, you get down to a mere 30 health. So, either you find an energy tank, or you farm one of those pipes that keeps making bugs. And the second option takes foreeeeever. And, obviously, no save-rooms or map screens. Zelda - The only thing that I like about this game anymore is it's nostalgic sound value. Everything else is terrible to me. You know what else has aged badly? The first Sonic game. No spin-dash, 6 emeralds, and 3 acts. Ugh, it just feels so slow now.

Seeing you make it through the gauntlet of lasers made me smile. Nicely done.

Halo Reach Multiplayer Beta starts today.

Invasion mode single-handedly shook me from my state of Halo: Reach apathy and injected me with a healthy dose of hype! Spawning with the freaking Sword as an Elite. SPAWNING with the SWORD!!! Wheeeee!!!! -
Very enjoyable, and quite impressive. Good work TC! The bullet-time was a good touch! It made me lol.

If she'd have maintained such a level of talent, I might of respected her more today. I'm just going to go back to ignoring her generic girl-pop, k?

I've been doing worse that I'd expect. I was usually pretty good in Halo 3, while I tend to be on the lower/bottom section in Reach scores. I blame the weapons! -
Hi coder. I was a lurker myself, at least for a while. The OCremix community grows on ya, after a while (ignoring a few individuals, lol). I saw something on gametrailers about the Mega Man movie being on Screwattack.com. Can anyone confirm this? I wasn't really paying attention to the trailer.

First Day Impressions: Both maps are pretty good. Varied, multi-faceted, same old, bungie-level goodness. The loadouts are cool. My favorite is scout, for now. Getting a shotgun, and running straight into a back-peddler's face, only to blast it full of buckshot? Good times, my friend. As of now, I see little use for cloaking. It doesn't make me invisible, it turns me into walking statue of water. Lame. Weapons are a mixed bag. I'm probably most disappointed by them. The scout rifle seems horrible to me, and the Needler Rifle doesn't fare much better. But every gun looks and feels great. The rocket launcher sounds beastly, and the Needler looks insane! Not a big fan of this game's pistol. I haven't seen a good pistol since Halo 2, and that was only when it was dual-wielded with an SMG. Oh yeah, right, no dual-wielding in Reach. *Sigh* Still, great fun, many improvements overall to almost every aspect of Halo gameplay. Reach was going to be a day-1 purchase before, and it still will be. -

Nice little diversion. But play Mushroom Kingdom Fusion if you're looking for a real crossover experience. It's bigger and better. Oh, and it has Kirby and Ryu Hayabusa! LOL.
