  1. If this isn't the right place, then mods, fell free to move it or lock it, whatever. Do you have any original music, covers, or arragements you have done on YouTube? Post them here! *My Covers* Final Fantasy IV- "Theme of Love" (Violin)- http://youtube.com/watch?v=SjF_AxQ5lkw (Granted it's not a true remix, and it really more of a cover than anything eles, so don't expect this to be on OC Remix anytime soon) Sailor Moon- Hotaru's/ Sailor Saturn's Theme- http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZKKDp9jVK_s Yeah . . .I only have two covers uploaded on YouTube so far. I was going to upload my cover of Megadeth's "Set Me Free"- Vocals on Violin but my High Speed Internet is horrible! (It's fast, but it keep on disconnecting randomly.)
  2. Megadave, could it be (God, forgive me) Inuyasha? Feh, I never like that anime anyway . . .
  3. Well, I'm not going to play another Super Mario game ever again. I want to see a real life Peach and Daisy.
  4. Yes, really! I think Prince of Persia- Sands of Time and the Two Thrones had a decent, if not great storyline. Also, deep inside, I wish they remake Final Fantasy VI in 3-D, with LIVE music, but also keep the same art style and story. I also hope they change the gameplay so that it was like the original, and yet, it seems that you are not playing just another remake. I know a lot of us know about the "Theme of Love" remix and I had this thought in my head- Will they search for a English speaking singer for the vocals if Sqaure-Enix release Final Fantasy IV DS? Maybe they'll did another Irish/Celtic verison of "Theme of Love", such in the same style of "The Best Has Yet to Come" in Metal Gear Solid. Irish Folk Music/Celtic music is just so beautiful, but it don't get used in video games soundtrack that often. Square-Enix remaking Final Fantasy IV isn't a shocker for me. It is the most well-loved and best selling older Final Fantasy game in Japan, so a remake of it would make sense. -Link I may say? I'm going to tell you the truth- I may be one of the few younger Final Fantasy fans (I'm 18) who hates the new Final Fantasy games, namly VII. I slightly remember VI when I was around 5 or 6 maybe. (Through ads, my brother hates RPG games so he never brought them for the SNES). I also remember when I was in the 2nd grade (ten years ago) when Final Fantasy VII came out. So I may be an oddball younger Final Fantasy fan because I like the classic Final Fantasy games. (Why nobody love the Famicom/NES Final Fantasy II? So what the gameplay is different! It's a very underrated Final Fantsy game!)
  5. The only thing cool about Final Fantasy IV The After is the artwork. Is just another goddamn Final Fantasy remake. Yo Square! Some of us you know . . . are waiting for an ORIGINAL seris from you guys! Some of us WANT a new Chrono Trigger game. So stop fuckin feeding the Final Fantasy VII fanboys who do not know what's a great storyline in games (Play Prince of Persia, Fire Emblem 4- The Holy War, and Metal Gear Solid for a good storyline) I actually like the black lady Luna. I dunno why, maybe because she don't seem like the stereotypical black/African-American I see in some video games. Okay, this might sound ironic, but I do want to play the Final Fantasy IV DS remake. dispite my hate for video game remakes.
  6. Most women who seem to do game design are usually artists or musicians. Have anyone eles notice this or am I the only one? Ladies, there seems to be a lack of you guys in the business. Why is that? (also in b4 no girls on the intranetz.) Also, as a black guy I gotta say this- There's also a lack of Blacks/African Americans in game design/art/programming/music/etc. In fact, blacks only make up 2% of the whole industry. Now women in Video Games- Am I the only guy who pissed off when females are display with very short mini-skirts, large breast, blonde hair and blue eyes? Also, play some of the older Fire Emblem games. Not all the female characters in that game are healers or magic users mind you. Ayra (Ira) from Fire Emblem 4 comes as an example. She's the most popular Fire Emblem female character in the series (next to Lyn). You want to know why? She's not that stereotypical heroine. She will beat your ass because of her swordmenship. She don't use magic at all, or get involve with melodrama romance.
  7. My handle is a pun towards my last name, which is "Snow."
  8. That's a pretty damn great track! 6,000+ in the stands, huh?
  9. For me, it is almost everytime I log on to OC Remix. Usually on my mother's laptop computer.
  10. To all my fellow musicians, during your journey as a musician, as you improved on your skills and earn your right as a true musician, what has been some of your greatest high points, your greatest achivement? My List *In 2002, I earn the honor of becoming one of the top ranking and most improved Strings/Orcestral (Violin) studnet at my middle school. I reciveved the "Most Improved Musician" in the Strings department. *In April of 2005 and 2006, I played the the world famous Fabolus St. Louis Fox Theater with the St. Louis Public Schools! *This fall, I will have achived ten years of playing the violin!
  11. If you were trying to troll, then you failed, badly. All it did was backfired on you! Inside jokes with your friends outside the internet works, but here . . .yeah. Mr. Rogers, god, I love him! I used to watch his show before I went to school each morning! "It's A Beatiful Day in the Neighberhood . . . " loved that song! OC Remix should do a remix of his theme song! I need to find a sheet music for it and arrange it for violin!
  12. To be honest, besides Sqauresoft Variation I have never hear any of Soule's works. I should check them out.
  13. Jermy Soule remixed Terra's Theme a few years back. Tommy Loves you guys, but he's been busy with Video Games Live .. . which is basically a whole live orchetra remix of our favorite video games! I remember when he firsted metion OC Remix on the Eletric Playground! Congrants everyone! Let's hope more and more music magazine learns more about OC Remix!
  14. True dat! It is a wonderful thing that he's using all the money he earned for charity work!
  15. I'm a violinist with about ten years of experince. I'm very good with my virbato, pitch, and prouducing near-perfect dyamics! I"m also pretty decent at play Half, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd postion on the violin. However, over the internet, I will not be able to help out until I get the money to get myself my own recording tools! However, I figure I could get together to do a live remix. I'm thinking of going to the local community college I'm plan on attending this summer and get a couple of guys and girls in my hometown. Currently, I am working on doing a classic Final Fantasy (I-VI) Overworld/Main Theme/Map Theme melody. At the end of the melody, I plan on playing the Final Fantasy theme. Then finally, the arrangement will fade out with the Prelude. I could do Violin 1 (Which is the melody), however, I need to slipt parts up for Violin 2, Viola, Cello, and Bass. I need guys who can play the viola, cello, and bass (orcestra).
  16. I had to listen to the song again and be reminded of Cecil's badassness!!! (Is that even a word?) I could play a softer, lighter verison of Red Wings on the violin. However, I have no mixer and the only way I could do it with my mother's friend's camera and post the video on YouTube. Maybe one day, I'll get things together and do a violin solo arrangement of the song for OC Remix!
  17. Thanks for the ideas, guys! I did speak with my teacher about recording and he say I don't really need a mixer if it for small time things, I could use a laptop and enclosed space (such as the bathroom or closet) and record myself. He also stated using a program call "Cool Edit Pro". Well, I am gonna to get a job and earn me some money for all this! I hope I get to do some remixing by the middle of this summer and start posting them during the Fall. ANy more tips are welcome!
  18. I am avery ten year violinist and this summer after I grudurate from high school, I plan on doing some remixes and playing music from video games on the violin. The only experince I have recording myself is for playing tests at my string/orcestra class, and that's it! I never touch a mixer in my life! I fooled around with Reason with a MIDI controller, but never had a true experince mixing and editing with my violin. My budget is . . . very low. In fact, I can only buy a $20 mic! I can not however, buy mixers and other good thigns like that. I could go to by brother and ask him can I use his, but he don't trust me with his stuff (as a kid, I use to destory a lot of his things! =P) I also have a teacher who's like a friend, but he's usualy very busy during the summer, so I may be S.O.L. on using his tools and software! What tips/ideas/etc. do you have for me, for a guy in this kinda sitution?
  19. That was a very nice interview! Reading Micheal's words and his viewpoints on solo performance given me some slight on what to expect later on in life when I plan on doing my own thing with video game music.
  20. Hey, the's name is TheSnowStorm. I been around OCRemix giving my ears a delightful treat of musical remixes of my favorite songs from various video games since 2004. I was so blown away by your talents and my mind was open that video game music is actually music. I have been playing the violin for the last ten years and just got into arranging music from video games a while back. It is my dream to compose and arrange music for video games. And maybe, one day, if my music I composed will be arranged by a fan, or even Video Games Live. One day, feh, I can only dream . . .
