  1. Than you should download M.U.G.E.N. for that lulz! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.U.G.E.N. Honestly, I wished I had the skills to create my own characters in that game than just fuckin' use other folks characters. Hell, I wish MUGEN users would create their own characters. Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Comics, huh? DC Comics have a bad history of comic book games, so I wanna see how this will turn out . . .
  2. Wow, how truly ironic. They debate how children who play violent vidoe games are at risk for violence, and yet, children who don't play vidoe games tends to be even more violent.
  3. Man, two more months until the game get release! Along with Halo 3, Final Fantasy IV DS, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, MGS4 is fucking own! Hey, about the Beauty and the Beast units, more info on them (Besides the models and general backstory infomation)
  4. A lack of- And dammit! I mean the good Phantasy Star games, not the bullshit 3-D "OMG!!!! CARD GAME" Phatasy Star!
  5. All you need is some good Luther Vandross or 70s-90s R&B music (none of of this hip-hop/R&B ghetto bullshit) and you'll have a good night.
  6. You mean GameFags, because that how they act, a bunch of butthurt fags. Since I'm at school, I can't look at the video. Can you guys give me a general idea of the the opinion.
  7. Terra in Black- http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00206/ Green Amnesia- http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00883/ For the Love of God- Steve Vai* Never Too Much- Luther Vandross* Basically almost any R&B songs from the 70s. *Okay, I know they are not OC Remix songs, but who cares?
  8. Welcome back! Even though I only listen to one of his track, he is a damn good remixer.
  9. They have porn arcade games? WTF?! I know they have porn games in Japan overall, but wow.
  10. I only heard one song from them, which is their metal remake of Dark Cloud from Final Fantasy III. They're pretty cool, but I have to listen to more of their stuff.
  11. Old news is old. It was spam. I really feeling on the main theme of Metal Gear 2. Maybe a jazz or a live violin cover I might do.
  12. Man, if OLR won't accept any terrible remakes, then wow. You really suck!
  13. I love fakebooks because they give you the chords right there such as a CM7 chord. But if I can't figure out a chord, I'll trty to make up one that sounds right. And with me fooling around with jazz, the chord and the pitch just has to be right. I wonder, if you train for a while learning basic songs via ear traninng, will you soon figure out chords?
  14. So true. The scapegoating of video games is just really mellowdrama compare the the shit printed media (including newspapers, comics, etc.) had to suffer.
  15. No wonder Yuji Naka left the Sonic team so many years ago. Bad move then, bad move now. I wonder do he cut himself everytime they make a shitty Sonic game.
  16. This. Honestly, like so many have stated, this is an ON-LINE pettion. Nobody takes them seriously. You know how many folks like to act stupid when signing online pettions?
  17. On Hymn of Saturn: Umm, I play violin (but sometimes the viola, but it's been a while). With Hymn of Saturn/Mistress 9's Theme, I match the tone of the singer' [vocals] voice to each note. So when she was singing ("La . . La . . LaLaLa . . . . .) The first "La" was an A, the second was a "B", third C# and so on. With the insturmental (which I believe is some type of a woodwind instument) I basically did the same thing. However, I still trying to figure this out. I know it could be "A E E E E" then I start to struggle. Once I'll get everything down, I plan on doing a cover. All I need to do is just work on my vibrato to get that singing sound. Without it, it just sound painfully dull. Maybe I might do a Jazz melody and remake of all of Hotaru's themes for AnimeRemix. I'm learning jazz chords right now. On Terra's Theme I think I heard a vocal verison of her theme. I do not know if it's offical or a fan remake. I seen a video of it from the PSX Final Fantasy VI, so it could be offical. Agreed. I just fucking agree with that. I won't lie, but when I was younger, I use to use sheet music for video game music. But now, I just find it stupid as I mature. It's more fun to sit down, listen to the song over and over and over, then play my violin to figure out the notes. I'm cool if somebody gives me the first three notes, but then let me figure the rest out. Learning by ear than just reading somebody's eles crap is just more fun. It gives me a chacne to help my hearing and figure out different pitches. Honestly, the only time I use sheet music is for the hard shit like Final Fantasy VIII's "Fated Children" , the choir's vocals and the insturmetals. Songs that I'm planning to learn by ear: "Never Gonna Give You Up"- Rick Astley "Californa Love"- Tupac "Rapper's Delight"- SugarHillGang "Fourtune's Theme"- Metal Gear Solid 2 "The Best Has Yet To Come"- Metal Gear Solid 1 And a few jazz chords I might learn by ear. Hell, I'll kill a man just to learn by ear quicker than rather reading the notes. Just the experince of learning by ear is just fucking fun!
  18. I can see why he defending violent games. We writes violent and guersome novels. Any type of violent media whever it be games or novels gets a lot of scapegoating. Novels are still being scapegoat for a bunch of bullshit, you know.
  19. Fanboyism (Or Fangirlism, if you wanna be pollically correct) is also fucking up gaming. I remember when fanboyism wasn't a big deal in my youth. But with the internet, it became a bit of a promblem. I also remember when folks loved gameplay over graphics during the 16-bit era. We didn't care about if the graphics look beautiful. We just care if the game was fun.
  20. So true. "Oh! Mother won't sell well in America! Final Fantasy is more loved than Mother!" BULLSHIT!!! Nintendo, stop being bitches and give us some Mother/Earthbound lovin'! My List: 1. Mother/Earthbound Zero 2. Final Fantasy IV 3. Final Fantasy VI (III) 4. Mystical Ninjas Starring Geomon (Nintendo 64) 5. Final Fantasy III (Famicom)
  21. What were some of the songs you first learn to play by ear instead of just using sheet music. What sense of emotion ran through you when you had learn the song without using sheet music or somebody telling you the notes. What songs are you currently trying to play by ear right now? (Well, not right at this moment.) The first song that I learned by ear was Terra(Tina)'s Theme from Final Fantasy VI. My friend was playing the song on the piano and during the time, so I was just sitting down with my violin trying to figure out the notes. Took me about an hour to figure out the whole theme. Currently, I'm trying to learn "Fourtune's Theme" (Metal Gear Solid 2) "Hymn of Saturn/Evil Hotaru's Theme"(Sailor Moon) and The Metal Gear Solid 2 theme. I'm doing pretty will with Hymn of Saturn (the melody of it. I don't really care for the harmory) but there's a gap I need to fill. Now Fourtune's Theme . . . let's say I have gotten down a good 10 seconds of the song down, but everything eles is sloppy. I'm also thinking of learning to play Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" on the violin, as well as Tupac's "Californa Love".
  22. Ooops! Made a mistake! The notes are actually: C F C Bb C Eb D C| F C (Still trying to figure things out from the Sax[solo]) The Strings/Brass Section I'm trying to work out so far (after the solo) are: C Bb Ab (At this point I need to figure out the rest of the notes.) Thanks Revenge for pointing out that I need to try again! Okay, I'm going to play Metal Gear and pick out what songs I like. Since I don't have any software, I'll going to have to make an original arrangement then add the melody of the song I might play. And since I'm ghetto, I might have to record myself in my bathroom, upload the video on my computer and rip the audio. If I can't work on this project then I'll hope aboard on the Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake bandwagon. I might do the main theme or Theme of Tara.
  23. Hmm, I do not feel old about playing older games, but young. I mostly play NES, SNES and Sega Genesis games via emulation and at times, I'm like a kid again, reflecting on games that I used to play during my childhood. I haven't had an experince where I play a game and think "Wow! I'm old!" Granted it, I'm 18 going on 19 years old, so yeah . . .
  24. I agree as well. But original ideas are good if done right. It do piss me off that original games are overlooked at times (Mystical Ninjas Starring Gemon, Prince of Persia, Beyond Good and Evil) for shitty games (Final Fantasy VII, Halo). I also want to see video games that actually reflect on real life and unsung heroes. Or tragic heroes who want to do good, but have that one flaw that will led tto their downfall.
