  1. If anything, 'Terrible Cover Art Megaman' is a joke only old-skool Megaman fans will get. I'd count that as fanservice.Certainly made me chuckle.
  2. D'aw what? Uncool.Only $0.09 a track? That's like 6p. Anyway, for all of you who've got independent albums on this site, if you're operating under the Creative Commons licence (which is valid in Russia), even with that dodgy organisation they're hiding behind, it's still illegal for them to sell your music: they haven't notified us.
  3. Okay, sorry for breaking in late to this conversation but regarding the above quote, I almost can't believe it. Jazz has become an incredibly umbrella term and refers to so much stuff, right from Joplin (Scott Joplin that is) through to Jamiroquai. It's a huge metagenre. For them to say that something written to be jazz music, using the characteristics of jazz isn't jazz, means they're obviously operating under a different definition of the word to the standard music dictionary one. A pretentious, douche-baggery definition where 'jazz' is progressive and experimentitive music which has greater meaning than simply to entertain. Ignore these people, their sense of music 'progression' died in the 70's.Okay, not ALL the music in Bebop is even 'metagenre jazz', there's hard rock, dance (and if we're going to be particular about genre) a metric fucktonne of blues in there, but take a listen to . It's so painfully, most definitely bebop/hard bop it's almost unoriginal. It's damn similar to guys like Parker, Gillespie and Coltrane, the obvious namedrops. Actually, funnily enough Gillespie's 'Bebop' is a pretty good similarity to the example track. So, yeah, Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack includes a lot of jazz, and even bebop. In places it's textbook. If you don't agree, go study your music theory and then we'll talk.
  4. Community led sites like this are proof that music has never been so dynamic, creative, accessible and varied. We're in a golden age for music.
  5. Yeah agreed.Sonic Advance 1 and 2 (especially 2, not 3, they pushed their luck there) are the best Sonic games this side of 2000, period. The engine is fantastic, art style is brilliant, music is killer and the gameplay is a logical progression from the old games. Why these titles get little attention from the Sonic community (and SEGA) is beyond me. Anyway, whilst yeah, this is a bit of a sound upgrade from the original, it's no way a bad thing and I most definitely enjoyed the listen. I love that you hold off on stating the VIb, VIIb, I progression 'till around 2 minutes in. The subtle little change in harmony helps to give the whole thing a sense of progression and, really with that sequence, resolution.
  6. We'll start our own internet, with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the blackjack and the internet.
  7. Rozo's been unofficial workshop mod for years and we all know it. Congrats guys!
  8. Livin' in the fast lane, cracking open a cold one whilst sitting on his trailer roof, doesn't have no friends, don't need none either. A desperado, he plays his cards under the table with aces up his sleeve. He don't need a woman, his mistress is lady luck. He's also none of those things. I hoped it helped.
  9. He may not be super well known, but damn, I know him IRL and that probably deserves a legit birthday thread in my opinion. Also, suggest new usernames to him as a birthday present, go, go. EDIT- ANYONE ELSE WANT A BIRTHDAY TODAY? I'M HANDING THEM OUT.
  10. Gotta say guys, seriously thanks, the response has been overwhelming! Freakin' awesome. YES! YES this! I'd been racking my brains for another one.
  11. I rarely say it. It sounds even sillier IRL than it does online. But yeah, it's more Proto gapgapgap Dome than anything. The allcaps is just me being overly obnoxious.

  12. Happy Christmas OCR! Please excuse me while I take advantage of the holiday spirit and release my second album, BLUESCREEN! GET THE ALBUM HERE or AT UBIKTUNE" From the creator of the hit chiptune album BLUENOISE, comes the exciting all-caps sequel, BLUESCREEN! This time around things get more varied with a touch less wah synth, a little more crazy hi-hat jamming and 100% more live sax on 1/10th of the tracks! Statistics! You know it’s going to be good. " You should all like it, it's free, so you can't complain. It also has a guest remix from halc, so, just saying, you should probably download it based on that. Would really love to hear what you thought of the album, artwork, whatever! Hope you enjoy the listen! If you dig it, tweet, like, post - spread it! Hope you have a great Christmas!
  13. This may actually be my last resort. Thanks dude, didn't think of that.
  14. I love it though.Tell me more of this 'spaghetti incident'.
  15. Ah see, this was my first solution, but each instance of detonate is the 'same', rather, they all share the same data. Whatever I change in one detonate it changes in all of them. And thanks Cain, your sympathy is real useful. ;D
  16. I'm irritated. I've tried everything. Basically. I'm wanting to implement a way to import MIDI type 1 (multitrack) and explode the component MIDI channels so I can get MIDI data from each of them. Each channel will be used to control a different synth. [seq] is no good as it only deals with MIDI type 0. [Detonate] seems promising, but I can't split the tracks individually. I can only get one channel at a time out of it. Do anyone know how to do this? Does anyone have a CLUE what I'm talking about?
