  1. :D :D yay I can't wait for this I never played marvel vs capcom until it got released on xbox live and I love it. BAH I'm getting sick of people complaining about the balance of this game. yeah maybe there are some balance issues but that shouldn't stop people from enjoying one fun ass game.(I think t-bonne can be a bit OP at times but i still love her ) you should play with me sometime I don't have nearly enough friends to play this with and don't ask who i main there are too many characters to have a main.D:( (i hate the idea of having mains anyway it cuts you off from experiencing all of the game) i wonder what new characters they will add (at least ONE of the fantastic four i hope the thing maybe) silver surfer and dante from devil may cry are on the top of my wish list I could go on forever about how many characters i would want to see in this game
  2. I doubt I'll be able to get BC2, money has been kind of tight lately and i haven't made a purchase for anything game related over $20 in a few months. I also refuse to rent anymore (I can't get gamerscore for a game I don't own ,yes i know backwards and stupid but I'm adamant about that, I'm kind of a collector also so i can't stand to not own games) If you want some runs through castle crashers though I'm definitely up for that sometime I've beaten that game with just about every character.
  3. bump I have Soul calibur 4 and and Street fighter 4 as well I would say that Soul calibur probably makes a better party game because it has 4 player lobbies. more good party games would be Street fighter 2 turbo HD remix (alot of people on this site have that game too) Peggle, and Doom, Maybe Cellfactor bit it's kind of meh
  4. the only games i have on that list are castle crashers (which i don't play much anymore but can definitely boot up sometime) Small arms(which i recently kind of got into because a friend challenged me a little while ago and had alot of fun with it and TMNT arcade (which i dunno is kind of fun) I'll pop in if i can on your B-day(I was a bit of an Xbox live socialite back in the day.So I'm definitely up for Live parties like this) Current Multiplayer/Party games I'm into are Perfect Dark (yes the first one on N64 they recently released it on Live arcade (BUY IT NAO D:{ ) and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Gamertag is same as screen name on here
  5. I feel the game is pretty balanced, it has a very nice learning curve to it. I still haven't gotten past the first boss, but I've only tried a few casual plays. Edit:OK made it past the first boss. Area 2 is going to be impossible for me,I'm never going to get through those switching panel obstacles because all of my coordination goes to shit when I have to use a keyboard
  6. Actually after a few plays the fire button can go faster than expected. (given that you can actually press it that fast (Thank you galaga ) So I take back my initial complaint about the fire button turbo. Oh by the way have made it to the first boss but haven't beat it yet :\
  7. yeah agreed needs a the fire button sometimes hinders the action not often though.
  8. I Love this, I wish i had a pc controller so i could get a little further. So far I've only made it past the enemy level up in the first level. I'm pretty sure you know this already but this needs some kind of music. This is so fun and addicting, Nice work
  9. ha I've only spent $20 on World of Warcraft and i have a lvl 60 already. all I'm doing is farming these days. (lol I'm actually playing it right now) But that just goes to show you it's about the player not the game. Even something as "hardcore" as World of Warcraft can be Conquered in a matter of weeks. On a side note I'm probably not going to pay for anymore playtime for a while, because 1 I'm kind of poor and 2, I want to take a break from it for a little while (my Xbox is starting to give me dirty looks )
  10. yeah but who cares your having fun
  11. honestly for me it's hard to know the difference. It depends on the player i believe,I can sit and play something like Geoemtry wars evovled for hours on end without an ounce of frustration, (even though a lot of people consider that game tough as nails) and its the same for everything else peggle ,tetris, world of warcraft even. I've always considered myself as hardcore-casual(I'm pretty serious about having fun ) Because well for me the moment the game becomes frustrating It breaks for me, If I'm not having fun then there is no point in playing. Now i do get frustrated at times. (I'm not some kind of Dalli Lama of gaming here ) But i set it down until i cool off. If your playing frustrated, first of all your not having fun, and secondly your going to get sloppy and make mistakes and rash decisions(and make yourself even more frustrated) So I guess everything is a casual game to me.
  12. oh i remember she i listened to some of his stuff when Last.fm came out on Xbox live. She among other artists really got me into chiptune music alot more. His new album sounds awesome.
  13. If this is directed at me which I'm assuming is, I haven't given up on writing music. I've been a little inactive lately , some personal stuff has come up in my life. It's been a year since this thread, I've been getting better in small increments here and there writing original songs, small little practice tunes really. Haven't tried a remix in a while though ,original music just flows so much more easily. That's almost the same way i got into OCR i discovered this site around late 2008, a few months prior i had also downloaded the FL Studio Demo, made some shitty songs I thought were cool at the time. Also your Perfect Dark remix isn't all that bad,I'm not the biggest fan of the robot voice sample but the instrumental elements of that song can be quite stellar at times I signed up for the forums in February 2009, posted a remix in The Wip forum (that's what it was called at the time) which was god awful and got a wonderful dose of reality. Got a little discouraged (hence this thread) redeemed some of my self esteem and kept at it, and here it is a year later. Unfortunately I'm using i cracked version right now, I plan to get a legit version of Fl Studio though. for a little contrast on how I've gotten better Here is some of my old stuff and Here is some of my Newer stuff It's not the greatest stuff i know (don't ask about the titles I'm horrible with titles ) but it's certainly improvement. I update my Tindeck every now and then for my friends(it beats sharing files over aim) I got a midi keyboard a little while ago I've been to lazy too hook it up to my computer though and see if it works with FL, also its kind of kiddish and there isn't much room for it either. Yes you do, and so do I
  14. HaHa you could actually say I LIKE halo sometimes, I'm just highly critical of the series. I'm pretty sure you can turn off auto aim I could be mistaken i believe it was in 2 as well.
  15. yes your very right about that ,but for me it would be alot at once I've been on the same pc since 2003 its not even really my pc its my dads. although i do dislike paying a subscription fee for Xbox live ($50 a year isn't that bad though) the features are good too, being able to keep a friends list ,online chatting, video chat if you into that, something the other two consoles still have not quite caught up to (they may basically be the same but they are so ass backwards designed) while yes pc's are superior in many ways some people enjoy the convenience of a console. upgrading can be inexpensive if you are savvy about it. however not everyone is ,I wouldn't really know how to put together a pc myself so people like me tend to buy prefabs which usually are a bit more pricey.
  16. If this is a rant against me then you completely misread me wrong. for one i hate snipers(unless you count the beam rifle) in halo I'm more of a run and gun with assault rifle/battle rifle kind of guy and most of the other automatic weapons. and like i said in that post i usually turn auto aim OFF in halo games my cursor is moving a million miles an hour and then I am trying to aim for someones head in halo and the fucking thing starts moving towards their chest OWN ITS OWN. UGH it pisses me off so much. I'm not really a big halo player I haven't played halo 3 for about a year never really got into 1 or 2 that much aside from the campaign completions and mostly i wanted to see what all the fuss was about. if you have ever been in one of those chats i have on xbox live the very moment halo 3 starts to come up i start to rant like crazy about it not about controls or anything anybody else would talk about, but about how much they dropped the ball on all the extra features. I hate ranked matchmaking i never play it because i hate playing against randomers online especially in halo, however i love the fucking custom games being able to make your own maps and modes I fucking love in fps's , but only being able to play it with your people who are invited to that game really limits the amount of people who you are going to get in a custom game WHY OH FUCKING WHY did bungie not make some sort of custom search/matchmaking i would love some randomers in my custom games and with all the of the other features like being able to see a games settings before you enter it would of worked out great. ugh now you made me go on a rant great. and yes i know that pcs do all of this kind of stuff with modding but i lack a pc that really has those kind of capabilities, not everyone can afford upgrading a pc every couple of years with new expensive ass graphic cards and new processors. its maybe about $300 for an xbox 360 or $500-$700 bucks for a nice gaming pc (and i think that's a low estimate) oh great now you got me going all off topic I'm just gonna stop here.
  17. This is very true i actually get kind of mad that some console shooters do this it kind of throws me off sometimes,it gets really bad in halo for me. not all do this however.(the orange box anyone(however i do believe it does have the slowdown when you have an enemy in your sights i think) some do have the option to turn auto aim off the only time i think i have used it is in goldeneye/perfect dark and halo series though but most do have some sort of auto aim.
  18. considering i was raised on console games I would have to say I prefer a controller. Although I have played very little of pc shooters i can consider the accuracy point but i really prefer the ergonomics of a controller over pretty much well.. everything I prefer it over arcade pads for fighters and even peripheral games like guitar hero(weird i know)
  19. Wow this is some great stuff. my only issues would be the synth heard at :33 and 1:01 it doesn't seem to fit in well with the hardcore backdrop i would say harden it up but maybe that was your intention to do so a few seconds later at 1:10 that and some of the processing can be a bit grating at times but not to where it kills it for me ,a minor issue at best. The vocal sample section that starts at 2:28 is ok I would get a different vocal sample to go along with the first one for a little contrast maybe. I have weird standards when it comes to vocals in electronic music anyway so maybe disregard that critique there. This is awesome stuff keep at it (headbangs)
  20. oh wow looks awesome (now i really want a wii <_>) looks like they updated the controls too (thank god) it was friggin masochistic on the gameboy.
  21. this is exactly why i dislike pro level playing. To me videogames should be spontaneous and semi chaotic. Breaking everything down to this exact science ruins the point to me.
  22. well it's been a while hasn't it. i have been working on this composition on and off over the past several months now. so this is what i have so far now i suppose there are sort of 4 segments to this song I still not crazy about how the theme is arranged in the first part everything after that is ok but I've listened to this and worked on it so much that i might be getting jaded on it so some fresh ears and opinions would be great. the pipe riffage is out i haven't been able to really recreate what i did there oh well se la vi. so without further adieu here's the wip
