  1. I always hated the original tune to Scrap Brain Zone. You know you have an awesome ReMix when something great can be made from a tune that....well, isn't that great. The SFX were a really good addition to the mix and the the melody fit right in with the original pieces. I'm really impressed and it has a nice groovy sound to it. Nice job!
  2. This is badass. The lyrics are tight and flow smoothly with the music and hell, the chorus fits the level. Really, a rap-rock ReMix doesn't get better than this. But wait, there's more! Throw in a little bit of Egyptian sounding music behind the beats, and it's not only a great song, but a unique one as well. Awesome stuff. The only thing that gets me is every time I listen to this, I keep expecting two lines to come after the "Open the flood gates, get ready for the flow" bit considering the rest of the song had four lines of rhyme. Still, this is pretty interesting. Great stuff.
  3. Oh wow! Now this is excellent work. I really felt it from 0:50 on. That electric guitar, those pianos, the organ, everything just seemed really put together amazingly. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Kinda hard not to like this ReMix when it's so catchy. Definitely one of my favorite ReMixes from Hedgehog Heaven.
  4. Soft, heavenly, serene.....yeah, this is such a good treat! I just love how it has the same peaceful style of the original and I could imagine nodding off to sleep with this playing in the background. Also, one of the few ReMixes where I think the shorter length is one of it's strengths. Cool.
  5. Very clean, easy-going and.....eh, not cute, but close enough to be nice and peaceful. Extremely comfortable and relaxing. Very fitting for the Sky Chase Zone. Another Halc mix that doesn't disappoint. And the mash-up wasn't that bad either. I like the creativeness of these things.
  6. R.I.P Macho Man. You will be missed, but never be forgotten. Oooooohhh Yeaaahhh!
  7. Sounds like an awesome show! Good luck this Sunday!
  8. Yes, yes, a million times fuck yeah! This is what I'm talking about genre-wise. Classic rock really does it for me, even more than hard rock and electronic. I really wasn't expecting to find a classic rock remix of Sonic while I'm on my Sonic kick, but not only do I find one, it's freaking awesome! The guitars were spot on and damn the drums were nice. I gotta say, that I actually liked the Mystic Cave Zone part slowed down a bit. It brings out that Led Zepplin soul and I really hope we see more of this at some point.
  9. That's crazy! Very nice. Anyway, this ReMix is so damn good! I can't keep myself from tapping my foot when I listen to this ReMix. Words can't really describe how much this song makes me want to just dance. Really upbeat and full of electrifying energy to keep it going! Woo!
  10. This was......interesting, so say the least. Not that I didn't like it. The genre switch was actually pretty cool. The production just seemed a bit....meh, but it was still okay with me. About the only thing that turns me off is the dead-stop ending. I can totally dig it.
  11. I can't decide which one is better, Ben's or Halc's. But seriously, I really enjoyed how you managed to work in the "Gasping for air" theme into this ReMix. The transition between the two were seemless and fit together like a puzzle piece. The sound effects are used well and your music style shines in this one. Not much else to say other than I love it.
  12. Taking nothing away from DJP and the others who did such amazing ReMixes for Marble Zone, but this is my favorite on the site so far. I absolutely love the 80's/90's theme going on with trance and oriental sounds intertwined into it. It's really one of those songs you can get the feel for while listening to it. The only thing I'm not so fond of is the quick ending. Seems like it could have been spaced out or done better with a fade, but terrific ReMix nonetheless.
  13. This is some pretty funky stuff going on! I gotta hand it to you, DJP, you make damn good ReMixes for the site and I think this is one of your best. The organ, the electric piano, the utter funk and bass and overall, it's a good rendition of combined original tune and source tune. The ethnic instrument bit was also funny and unexpected. It works with the genre here for some reason, but I wouldn't have thought so if I didn't hear it here. This ReMix made Marble Zone even more enjoyable to listen to.
  14. Mmmm.....nice and upbeat dance. Not too crazy but not overdoing it on the chill side either. Nice and smooth like.....well, April rain. Which is funny enough because I've been getting enough of that in the area right about now. But as much as I've had enough of that rain, I don't think I'll ever want this rain to go away. Great ReMix.
  15. Funky. Entertaining. Impossible to ignore if I wanted to, and I don't want to. Nice to hear some good cameo tunes pop up in an already fun track. Great stuff to finish the flood off with.
  16. Very peaceful and catchy as hell. This is a real smooth piece that ups the level from perfectly chill into the world of too cool. The lyrics and easygoing smoothness of this just makes me think that this could be the theme of someone whose day is just going so fucking fantastic that words can't express it. Bright and badass. Well done, good sirs.
  17. Let me get this out of the way real quick: I hated Labyrinth Zone. It was the zone that almost always got me way back when. And it was almost as if it was taunting me by playing that great music while killing or drowning me. That aside, this is my personal favorite ReMix off the album. The sound effects were used to perfection and the Daft Punk-ish talkbox lead was utterly sweet. The melody is as cool as I remembered it and the Special Stage theme was tied in pretty well. Enjoyed this one very much.
  18. I flat out loved this ReMix and enjoyed that the sound effects were put to good uses over the course of the song. I really got a casino/sexy lane feeling from this ReMix before it faded with the nice chill out ending filling with gulping. It's just a very sexy and well done ReMix and I had no problems hearing the source tune.
  19. Ah, a pretty amazing take on the Green Hill Zone. I think it's fairly easy to say that this theme is the song that defines how I feel about Sonic: It starts off with a lot of energy, hangs back in the middle while having cool things happening elsewhere and then bringing it all back to where it belongs. Such awesome work on this Remix with the guitar and it's very true to what I like about ReMixes: taking a song and upgrading it to another level. Damn good way to start off the Sonic album.
  20. Nostalgia. That is pretty much the one word I thought of from hearing this ReMix. I always thought the original tune was in the top ten of the Pokemon soundtrack, and this was a really good upgrade from the deep reaches of memory. Really nice work.
  21. I absolutely love Hyadain's ReMixes. Like the other one, I've seen this on Youtube at least a year before it showed up here, but it really does belong on OCR. It is amazing that he does all the voices, including the female ones. That impresses me. The beat is good and the lyrics are just as crazy as you'd expect from something like this. Really enjoyable ReMix.
  22. Smooth and catchy. It a good ReMix, a little too upbeat to be in the chilling range on my end, but it is definitely relaxing. I could use a bit of that about now. Another great ReMix from a wonderful album.
  23. I always loved the St. Anne theme. I thought it was beautiful and elegant, especially remastered. It's a shame that the only time it played was when you were on a boat that lasted maybe fifteen minutes to a half hour if you wasted time battling everyone. I almost missed the Poke Center bit you put in there, but it was a nice touch. I also enjoyed the drowning out ending to the ReMix. Overall, you gave it a good chippy work over and it added that playful sense of fun to it. Great job.
  24. Dark, mysterious and slightly creepy. An atmosphere of tense feelings and maybe a little anxiety of running out of antidotes. I live for ReMixes like this. I actually never had a problem with Viridian Forest when I played the first time around, but I'm sure I would have been a little creeped out (and enjoyed the music more) if this played instead of the original. Very sinister and filled with bad intentions Really good work on this Remix.
  25. Cool little ReMix pulled off like only Halc can. By now, I've gotten used to his signature tune styles, but it's not a bad thing when he rocks in those styles as much as he does. This ReMix kinda makes me think that this is a 3.0 (maybe 2.5, not sure on that math) version of the originals, and it's amazing that you can bring about that type of feel to the song and still make it sound professionally great. Well, one thing is for sure: I lieked this ReMix.
