  1. A bunch of ReMixers are doing a project on the X games including MMX3, and I certain these four will be claimed and done sometime. It's in the Project section of OCR under Maverick Rising: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=27078 if you wanna check it out. Check the first page for a list of tracks claimed and how far along they are.
  2. DJP: "Either make a vocal mix, or make an instrumental mix, but don't pepper vocal bits around sparsely." This. Don't get me wrong, I love the vocals and the metal work around it, and it's awesome (because I seem to be one of the few that know the source) to see it worked this way. This Remix really is great all way around. I just think this sounds like half a ReMix with one music section and one vocal section. It's sounds like a solo and/or music only section could have been added after the first round of lyrics and finally end a vocal finale. But like I said, I like what IS here, and that's what counts. Great job, AMT! PS: I'm not good at hearing out metal vocals, so what are the last two lines of the lyrics? I can make out the first two, but it's the 2nd half that I can't seem to understand.
  3. If I could ReMix, it would be anything from MMX and SMRPG. Seeing as MMX has an album in the works, it'd would probably the final battle of SMRPG, with a mix of metal orca. It'd work in my head, but my lack of talent prevents me from getting it done.
  4. Hyrule Castle is in my opinion the best track on the the Link to the Past game and I'm proud to say that you can add me to the list of people who have been caught daydreaming and being woken up by the epicness at 2:40. There aren't a whole lot of songs that I can listen to for over seven minutes before I'm pacing back and forth and cheating by fast-forwarding, but this is one of those that make me sit still and smile. Disco Dan (great name BTW) delivers on this one. Sweet work!
  5. Ditto. This sounds almost too close to the source aside from the piano and the beats over it. Not saying it's a bad thing, as I like it. I just don't know if this would have held up on today's grounds. Other than that, awesome work. Love this ReMix.
  6. Hmm....kinda cool. For a track that was more like a seven second sound effect rather than a real song, this looks like you fleshed it out and gave it some beautiful sounding life. The guitar does sound a little ehhh *wiggles hand*, but all in all, the pros outweight the cons. Very nice.
  7. Who knew Link was a South Central gangsta? This mix is really good and I love the trumpet thrown in there. The hip-hopish breakbeats are just so cool and I'm really surprised. This ReMix has made this song enjoyable for sure.
  8. Yeah.....I wouldn't go as far as to call this great, but the source tune is reconizable, the beats are done well, and over all, it doesn't last long enough to get annoying. It stays consistant and gives off a little bit of a creepy melody. Sounds good to me.
  9. The first half was the best in the world and it was only the second half that allowed me to like it, but really I do like it. I don't have a problem with the samples and the march itself is epic on it's own. It has a movie soundtrack feeling to it and that's a plus for me. Not the best, but it does the job.
  10. Not bad, but I can't really give it an A+. Would an A- suffice? Just kidding, I love it, which is odd because piano only songs don't normally catch my attention like this one did. My only complaint is that the volume goes up and down a bit too much. A little more consistantcy would have polished off this great ReMix. Not bad for a first mix.
  11. I'm really surprised that the SMW soundtrack blended so well with Christmas music. I'd never imagine the music fitting in with a sleigh ride, but I'm glad someone did. This is pretty sweet and a nice surprise.
  12. Pulp Fiction + Super Mario RPG= Awesome. Oddly enough, I always imagined that Booster's theme would have fit the Pulp Fiction world, and this gives evidence to that fact. A perfect mix for #1000.
  13. Haha....I'm getting that "sleepy/relaxing/meditating" feeling from this mix. Very peaceful and relaxing. Normally I think ReMixes that are shorter than two and a minute are too short, but considering the content of this song, I think the shorter track works with it, rather than against it.
  14. Thirded. This is such a sweet ReMix and the funky jazz just makes this whole song that much more enjoyable. But this really needs another minute or two to take it up several levels.
  15. First things first, the vocal intro is pretty cool. Add to the fact the all these instruments were played live and create a great "cabana" feeling is huge. This is nothing short of epic and probably one of Mustin's best ReMixes.
  16. Whoo! Hit me! I can hear the James Brown/ Blues Bros. riffage in this piece, and I'm loving it! The sax used for this remix nails it perfectly. Great work with the horns as well. It's quite a gem that I almost missed here.
  17. Cool! This is an interesting ReMix. I must admit that I was never high on the SMB3 underwater theme, but this grand take on it makes me rethink that. The bells section was great and I enjoyed the nice use of the instruments for this. Encore, analoq!
  18. A bit too short and it sounds like it could have been expanded at the end, but it works for me. The intro and the beginning piano are gold. The sitar is probably the best part. This mix would work in a street market in the more eastern countries IMO. Like I said, short, but recommended.
  19. A crazy and goofy little tune. I'll probably be one of maybe fifty people in the world to say that I always liked the SMB2 overworld theme more than the original Mario theme. That being said, being close to the original source was a plus for me and those instruments made me smile.
  20. Light, bouncy, peaceful and overall, an instant classic. Just being able to make a theme that seemed to loop every thirty seconds last about four minutes sound this good is almost criminal. The piano and guitars bring on that great idea that someone else said about being a hidden track on Brawl. Great job!
  21. In this cold weather, a tropical paradise sounds good right now. This ReMix is amazing! 7 themes over the course of 6 games and it doesn't feel rushed to just thrown together. Now, that's a mega mix if I ever heard of one. Very good island-like feel to it. Nice!
  22. Okay, so just did mine and for a non 102% run, I got a personal best of 1hr 50 min. Considering that Web Woods and Bramble Scrambe took up most of my time, and I didn't die much besides that, I'm pleased. Now I need to try a 102% run (I'm thinking it'll take another hour and a half because I forgot where most of the bonuses are.)
  23. Ditto. I think it sounds great, but it's a little.....yeah. Now, I can handle this kind of music. It's okay, but prehaps a longer, clean verison without the sounds would be better for the site. Still, this is always great for a laugh.
  24. This mix is really good. I really think that this is a bit of an improvement over the original, because the original was great, but being surrounded by lava normally brings on heavier music instead of "bop", right? Well, a rock verison with multiple guitars and some sweet drum work seem take it to that level. Nice work.
