  1. Well, you know how those RPG battle themes are. Especially ones by Motoi Sakuraba. Thanks for the track-by-track, Vinnie. You is de kewlest judj!
  2. Pretty lukewarm review on Last.fm (originally posted in Spanish), but I thought it an interesting read: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.last.fm%2Fuser%2FKadai%2Fjournal%2F2009%2F03%2F24%2F2lad8g_summoning_of..._here_my_two_cents&sl=es&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 I find it funny that the translation calls the piano-to-guitar transition in The Unholy Wars "scandalous". And sorry Dhsu, but this person apparently REALLY did not like Aviators. From what the translation seems to say, they couldn't even listen to the whole thing. I see something about the tags being wrong in the files. Not sure what that's about, considering Larry and I spent a long time pouring over the tags making sure they were correct... But whatev. Also, Letters Vs. Numbers podcast (the offical podcast of Game Music 4 All) played Sixto Sounds - Go The Distance and talked a little about the album (FOUR discs, guys. FOUR discs!): http://hotdogstorm.com/genoboost/lvn/LVNnoncast%20%2302_Bears_.mp3
  3. Ever heard of "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy"? Same thing. Unless you're talking about the Tengen NES version...
  4. I'm so fuckin' there for this. This is the greatest news I've heard in awhile!
  5. OH NO YOU DIN'T SON THERES GONNA BE A BEATDOWN TONITE
  6. VGMix is broken and it wouldn't be able to tell you anyway, even if it were up. A release prior to the album seems likely though. I will cross-reference my VGMix collection when I get home and see if I have this track.
  7. Beginning an occasional series of shows that will break away from our usual format (these interview shows will be interspersed with our regular music and talk shows), NGI #115 is an interview special, throwing former NGI host Audun "Akumu Audi" into the Hot Seat. Check it out!
  8. Ognoes! Teh hawtness!!!111
  9. They're deep in the mix, hard to pick out from the other stuff going on. If you don't think of them as vocals, they can just as easily sound like another random instrument. But listen at, for example, 2:04, and you can hear Starla going "ooooooooh" behind the cello. It's not much, but it's there.
  10. I've been using SiteGround for webhosting since 2007, and they've been the best host I've ever had. In two years my site has been down once (for about 15 minutes), and $9.95 a month for unlimited bandwidth and webspace is practically a steal. I'd recommend them. If you aren't interested in getting your own hosting, I can certainly provide a subdomain and unlimited free space at my site for your podcasts. Always happy to help out the VGM shows that spread the word about great music!
  11. Thanks for the comments, Mokram. I've added the show to PodcastAlley. The vote counts are reset every month, so vote for us as much as you can!
  12. Nothing came out of it publicly. In fact, I don't recall it lasting very long.
  13. "Hurry!" was in the original Final Fantasy VII game, which this album covers exclusively. Later games in the series have reused many of the music tracks from the original game.
  14. No way. This thing better be finished!
  15. Being in favor? You could say that. As for an MMX album: Protricity attempted one back in the early days (2003-ish, I believe), but it fell apart due to DRAMARAMA. A shame really, because it was lookin' good.
  16. Ah, okay. I guess like most Apple products, iTunes is broken. (Oh SNAP, I went there!) Larry and I will be recording the next episode on Wednesday, and we'll be joined by a very special guest. Should be out with a new show this weekend!
  17. 5 has an amazing soundtrack, I know that much.
  18. Doo dee doo dah... *whistles nonchalantly*
  19. Heh, very cool. The Blast Corps one especially caught my eye so far.
