other then bio toxic im lovin abletons operator it has so meny options and waveform from normal to 8bit to 16bit and 32bit ; D i think zircon already said it but i will say it again, Zebra 2 is also great! but my go to synths for vst are Abletons Operator, Imagelines, bio toxic , sytrus (retarded interface but it sound good tho) , and Zebra 2.

when you say compression, what should he do with the compressor, he cant just use a compressor with out knowing the problem of the track8-) EDIT:: this is a great concept but i think you should add more inbettween and after that a mix of your own and the sound track. Other then that great production, mix could be a tiny bit better with lead synth part,drums could use variation but again this track is great.

actually that sounded like a good guitar tone, its just very compressed, and it sounded like he was using a cheap mic. like the guy below said below, lots of people here on ocremix can get your stuff recorded with good tone - professional tone.

Indeed but i still say he should try to learn, i mean its not an insane learning curve like the french horn, nor is it as easy as reading small drum line notation, but atleast try. (well all intruments are hard at a point) Yahh maybe i should have not use my 2-4 months example (or what month i typed) of how fast I learned, its really is diffrent for everyone, like it took me a year to figer out how to play quake at a lvl while it took some less. thats not the point..... it was a counter example..

Wow........ A perfect mix of new style of piano and classical piano, very lots and the quantizing is light which makes makes it seemed humanized . I also hear the aolian and mixolydian Modes (scales if you will) alot in this peice, lots of attack control in the arrangement as well, but use a compressor and increase the output a bit you are now the 6th person on the fourms to get my DAMN out of 10 rating

A acid electro track(s), great sound designing, unique as I dont hear many like this in the electonic, over all im liking them. BUT you have lots of compression going on that makes it hard to listen to.

1. Im guessing your using fl studio,lots of piano roll tools indeed, but cant get you what you want always, especially for specific types of peices you want to record.... 1a. this post made no sense, (not saying you dont have) if you have no skills on a midi piano, then you would not know what the keys are nor the pitches, you need atleast a minimal amount of skill on the ''keys'', not matter how little, atleast a minimal amount, and it would speed up work flow. 2a. Dude thos ''few'' chords like the 5 chords(powerchords if you will) are what most guitarist use, most songs played within rock and sub genres are played with mostly (or all) power chords........ and the guitar is layed out in whole and half steps and each string is keyed by 2 intervals except the B string (correct me if im wrong). youtube has lots of useful tuts things like diminished, augment, and suspend chords are one of the hard chords to finger if your going to ask 3a. I concur, but your in control of a few things, tone, changes, speed , effects, and other things you generally will want that will not bother the guy you asked for help. EDIT:: well op can try this, some decent sounds you may like .

thats like saying you dont feel like learning to play the piano but you want to produce by controlling synths/samples with a musical Instrument digital interface that requires some key skill or skills for a midi device. this is not that time consuming unless you want to learn to solo. open chords for standered power (5) chords not that time consuming, alot better then buying samples that dont even give you much control or even a decent sound.

or he can buy a guitar, most amp(and sims) these days can turn a low end guitar to high end tones. and learning to play chords only takes 2 months

what he said,but the guitar part's clip volume in the beggining of every take you do, edit the guitar track better an let all your tracks fade out with a reverb effect, not suddenly. but this is great!

a synths a synth, if you want a fm synth use something like Image lines bio toxic synth, sytrus or NI's massive.

My song ''Droned'' the source the entire 7 min lol, house like this is based off chords not melody. keep listening to the chords. and I cant sub this, its too repetitive, and deep house like this is repetitive, and its not diffrent enough from source, im not changing the song to sonata form just to sub.
