  1. http://tindeck.com/listen/qdhs Version 1! Tons of mastering changes(Most notably - beefed up the strings, raised the volume of everything[it was set to a lower volume before to prevent clipping]). Minor changes to the arrangement. Lots of transitions added, especially from melody 1 to melody 2.
  2. http://tindeck.com/listen/dxly Yeah. This is definitely a WIP - this isn't even the finished version of version 1(lots of finishing touches), but it's a WIP fo sho. Comments?
  3. Thanks! And judging by how long it's been up, I don't think it will be going away any time soon. Especially considering that the industry is calling us out(lol Sega pico). Keep at it, post stuff in Workshop to learn the craft, and one day your remix will be submitted.
  4. With all of the tips here, though, you also need to be lucky. Seriously. Even fantastic video channels with frequent updates, streamlined search tags, high quality videos in general, and nice people can be overlooked(just look at Dragon's Layer Productions). If you can get a large enough initial group of people to subscribe and tell people about your videos, that will generally help to get noticed by way of viral marketing, but getting that initial group is just a matter of waiting. Once it's there, though, expect viewers to raise dramatically.
  5. http://tindeck.com/listen/pgxp Made this to test an arpeggio plugin for a project. Ended up being an actual song(kinda) so I decided to plug in the 4 notes from space invaders into it and make a remix of some sort out of it. Not actually going to do that much with it, but if you could comment on the arpeggio and stuff, it would be greatly appreciated.
  6. The image, oddly enough, fits the content of your post.
  7. i found out i could delete the sound it makes when you die it was glorious EDIT @ munchi: http://i51.tinypic.com/2s78m6s.gif
  8. Pretty interesting! I'll keep it in mind as a reference.
  9. Hook them all up with a layer, and select the "random" option.
  10. see look i don't only listen to techno now as for making...
  11. Inversely - I'd NEVER touch a wiimote that is found in a house that owns this game.
  12. Definitely report the bug, though. Version 10 is coming out right away, and that would be a good thing to have fixed.
  13. hey guys remember when Nintendo used to have quality standards
  14. If you select a specific instrument in FPC, above the envelopes and layer controls you will see the word "Output". If you drag it up, it will shift the mixer track for that specific instrument up whatever you set it to from where FPC is positioned. For example, if FPC is in mixer channel 12, and you change the kick drum's output to "1", your kick drum will be found on mixer channel 13.
  15. Actually, no. There's an item in the options that lets you turn pattern blocks on, and I believe they're carrying it as a legacy option until version 12, so you'll be fine for a good 4-5 years, which should give you enough time to change
  16. Alrighty then. I'm rather happy with the arrangement, despite it being rather conservative. Version 2: http://tindeck.com/listen/lubo Changes: Beefed up the percussion. Used sidechaining to keep the wobble bass from overpowering the kick. EQ'd the hell out of the wobble bass to make it less muddy. Put a few drum loops in the main drum section to make it more fun. Beefed up the wobble bass a little bit. Increased the volume of the non wobble bass.
  17. I mainly write stuff in the piano roll(mouse musician REPRESENT), but occasionally I'll use a MIDI instrument to play something if I'm having trouble because I'm using some crazy subdivision or something. I usually start a mix by getting a really basic sound of what it should be like, then working on the drum sequencing, then a basic arrangement, then I'll go ahead and make the instruments more in-depth and complicated. After that, I'll usually apply effects, change the arrangement, add breaks and transitions to the arrangement, change the instruments again, then continue from there! I always start every mix by applying a compressor to the master, using FX 1 as "Beatmain" and putting a reeverb 2 on it with the smallest decay + room size. I apply 1 mixer track to an instrument, and each piece of percussion gets routed to "Beatmain" to add presence. As for arrangement, I usually like to start with a slow section of the harmony, then drop a simple beat, add melodic sections, put in a break, and transition into the full drop, then continue the track from there. The formula gets changes a lot, but it tends to happen. As for the playlist itself, I always keep the automation clips bunched up near the bottom, so I know where to find them(always under the main song). The beat is usually placed at the top, and the size of the track for the beat is usually minimized, but when I'm doing a lot of slices for whatever reason, I will often have them on normal size. When sequencing, I will always make each part, and give them a name. The melody loop section will be called "Melodyloop", the intro will be called "intro", and so on. I will usually alter the pattern until it sounds fine, afterwards, I will split the main pattern into individual patterns(split by channel) and work from there. I end up cloning patterns nonstop to get variations
  18. http://tindeck.com/listen/lzdu ORIGINAL: So yeah, this is a Drum and Bass remix of the Underground Water Channel theme. I was originally planning to do a far more chilled out version of this, but for some reason I imagined this track would be cool as Drum and Bass so I went at it and before I knew it I was having a blast. Comments and critique would be highly appreciated, and thank you all for reading. =D
  19. Really clean, low, sub bass is done with a very low frequency sin wave at times. I dunno exactly what you mean, but try that out and see if it works.
  20. Clipping, sorry. Bad language, I guess. It's going above the DB meter so much that it broke through the top of my monitor and is wedged in my roof.
  21. Actually, I was just exaggerating for comedic effect. I did take your recommendation seriously.
  22. New version! http://tindeck.com/listen/gcxh Changelist: Remastered tons of stuff. Mainly, I quieted the bassline down. I also beefed up the drums, and raised the volume of the lead. Minor changes in the synths arrangement and sequencing. Added a new section towards the end. Also completely added a new instrument with an entirely original melody to be a harmony to the main lead. Put a low intensity lowpass filter on the lead synth.
