  1. a couple of online friends and I were discussing music production one day, and they said they complete the basic song outline all in one day. They also said, that's what the "pro's" do and said Bach and Beethoven, etc. did the same. They claimed that if everything isn't done in one day you will lose the song idea and the song will sound bad. what are you thoughts. do you think that great songs are made in one day, or it's just as possible to make great songs made over the span of several days?
  2. this beat is sick i want 2 take a ride on your disco stick
  3. well the chord in water garden just felt a little bit off to me, I wasn't really sure about it though and yes, technically you had the right chord but something felt very slightly off. This, yes everything is pizzicato, but the first time I heard it it definitely did not feel right, it wasn't arbitrary. Since it's pizzacato, I dont know what you could do, maybe add a echo or different sample. Another thing that's hard though, is after the song looped I couldn't really notice that part anymore. Sometimes you have to listen with fresh ears to notice these things. sort of like a john williams documentary, he notices the slightest things wrong with the articulation which greatly aggravates the orchestra because they have to play it over and over again until it reaches that hidden point of perfection.
  4. lol ur welcome, and i was quoting michael j. scott xD

  5. the second to last note in the 1st? melody needs to be extended, otherwise very good.
  6. its just you have the same basic idea phrased over and over again, which isn't bad neccesarily, like she said it would make pleasant menu music, but I agree, it is slightly simple...for an epic journey the song has to have more ideas, more story, and stuff.
  7. I AM DISPLEASED. j/k (maybe its because I have dollar store headphones but this sounds better than some of the stuff I hear on the radio.)
  8. kinda repetitive, musically not much there, just playing the same riff over and over, the sounds themselves meshed well together though. skyland was probably the best it was completely different than the rest. that was my review of program music vol. 2 busy town was like hot cocoa it was very pleasant, heartwarming, and unique, while at the same time sounding familiar. alien planet sounded mario-ish then turned castle-y. space opera sounded like transformers in space. viking 3d reminded me of polygonal hills with green texture and blue ocean, liked the horse sound as well. that was my review of program music vol. 1 except for the first three songs of vol. 2, I listened to every song from vol. 1 and 2 from start to end, which means they were very musically interesting, to me.
  9. replace the slap bass change the trumpet sample with something higher quality, the very first percussion note was very grating but other than that percussion isn't on your top to-do list. anyway i like the song. about 2:30 though maybe add a contrasting melody will keep it interesting and that way you can extend it a bit.
  10. if it weren't for the visuals, I would have guessed it was a parody video. the key change at 2:45 made me die in my seat laughing
  11. here's a song slightly stuck in my head http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?action=single&f=healthnut.mp3 do you like it or not, also what color does it remind you of? actually please delete this post song is terrible
  12. interesting, when i listen from headphones it feels like the mix is sounding from the inside of my brain, instead of my headphones.
  13. first guitar sounds a little too quiet, i would boost it a little.
  14. Normally i hate autotune but it might work in this case trying see which sounds better. the lyrics themselves aren't bad its just the microphone is really crappy, maybe adding more reverb will help. also trying adding more emotion to the singing, really sing lol.
  15. really good textures fits the the theme of chemical plant zone well. wish there were more melodies from the source though. also, the pitch bend in chemical plant was my favorite part of the song, i wish it was in your remix too.
  16. well the volume is blaring and the instrument quality itself is pretty bad...it helps if you play a flute though and see how the volume changes, its not just random changes over time.
  17. woa i really like this really otherworldly mood and atmosphere, and seamless transitions from one part to the next. My angelic alterego soars into the heaven's of the imagination
  18. this song makes me happy and nostalgic is it download-able?
  19. yeah you need 2 parts the intro and main. also make sure the end musically fits into the beginning of the main.
