  1. Maximum feelz I make a point of saying inexplicable things on the internet. If you don't, you're doing it wrong.
  2. Noteperformer honestly blows my mind. I wish I had it
  3. Yeah, I can't do too much spooky stuff. I could handle the scary games back when everyone was a pixelated mess. But movies or photorealistic games? Can't handle it, especially gore, scars or insects. I'll have nightmares and outright hallucinations for months. The gore in this is some next-level shit too I want to play RE2, but I'd rather sleep.
  4. I never played RE2 but I thought Nemesis was in 3?
  5. Reaper and I think Cubase too allows for notation input, but it sucks. I'm starting to doubt it's ever going to be a serious thing, because the MIDI information in a piano roll is a lot more detailed regarding things like time, and all of that is very important in making realistic mockups which is kinda the point of using the virtual instruments. There's also that most people use a MIDI controller and record in real or step time, and it'd be a total mess for sheet music to capture that.
  6. Same. and it's for those last two lines that I probably just wouldn't let my kid play video games at that age in general tbh. But for the OP, I'd agree: Trial by fire — give her SMB1. I mean, you don't want your daughter to grow up to be a filthy casual right?
  7. Lol I love your choice of words here. Like you're preparing her for some heavyweight championship. Most older, classic games, especially platformers, are hard as balls by today's standards. Games like Spyro would be exceptions to the rule. The issue is, thinking of games "like" Spyro that are as forgiving is proving difficult. Honestly I think your best option here is really just to look up games that are very specifically made for young children. Most of which I doubt any of the 30+ year olds who still hang out here are likely to know.
  8. Nice. Yeah, that's where I am. Still haven't been to it though lol Sweet. I don't have the games though lol. Traded my 3DS a few years ago. It was a mistake.
  9. This is unrelated, but it's taken me years to notice that avatars can be animated and I don't know how many times I've looked at your avatar by now. We also never went to Peter's Drive-In. I'm heartbroken. Also, what exactly does the code do?
  10. Meh, seems to be getting bad reviews, and besides: there's free emulators out there that don't cost 80 bucks, I still have the discs for many of these games, and my ps4 controller works with steam too. Though to be honest, aside from getting sucked into Witcher 3 every once and a while, I can't find the will to play video games anymore. So I'd probably play it for like a week and then it would be a very expensive dust collector.
  11. Giving some Christmas-movie type of score a shot. Merry Christmas!
  12. I dunno, but it appears Donald died as he lived. Not fuckin' healing
  13. The Final Battle Trailer is here: Cringe Trailers for Japanese games are almost always awful.
  14. My favourite things from OE1 are the pitched-percussion instruments. I don't own OE2, and couldn't justify buying it now, but I wish I'd gotten it instead of 1. I really like the fantasy-oriented approach they took with it, it has better legato instruments, etc.
  15. There are a couple easy ways you can practice putting the mode into use with just the white keys on a piano. I assume you play or can at least use a piano roll? In the bass, use a synth pad to hold out a drone of a low E note. Then, over top, start noodling around to create a melody, but also start from an E note. Emphasize E, F, and D when you play. That'll give you the sound of the phrygian. For the chromatic mediants, play an A minor chord with you left hand for one bar, then follow it with a C minor chord for 1 bar.
  16. The technomanga "don't fuck around" guy was also pretty inspiring.
