  1. I like the piano part and its prominence in the mix. The violin part worked and the harp seemed so low in the mix that I don't really know what to say for it.
  2. Nice work with the percussion; I think you had a cool background that fit right in with the main melody. How much do those loop recorders cost?
  3. I like the third part. I don't really know what else to say.
  4. I like the swing feeling that you're trying to bring, but I feel that you could have used more drums (rides, claps, etc).
  5. Liked and followed. Your guitar tone is killer and the track in general is just sick. 0:30-0:40 especially. Nice work!
  6. I don't use drum loops but I get a bit tense using synth presets. I still use them if they fit though, and I agree with the "use but don't abuse" policy.
  7. Music players on the GBA versions of FF1&2, FF4, FF5, and the two GBA Fire Emblem games.
  8. Voted. I'll probably have the time/energy requirement for an entry met next round.
  9. The drums tripped up in the measure where you took out the kick, but it flowed solidly otherwise.
  10. The flute seemed ho-hum but I liked the harpsichord work.
  11. Wow, I've never even been sent to the principal's office. As for the topic, I agree that competitions are helpful. I made a submission to MnP and my work flowed much more smoothly than usual.
  12. This beautiful tune totally deserves a remix. Nothing much else to say.
  13. The atmosphere in this is right on for driving home on a cloudy autumn day. Nice job!
  14. The transition that was used before the second verse and again at 3:05 felt awkward, but I liked the energy of your piece. I think you did a good job with the chiptune aspect, but I think that it would be even better if you gave the guitar the focus for one part of the song. Overall, good job.
  15. I agree with what EC said about that one spot feeling melodically weak, but I also think that you did nice job with the piece, especially the bass.
  16. Rhythmically, this piece felt very off. I couldn't really tell what was going on in the first minute because the lead instruments did not sync with the background. It wasn't as much of an issue after that, but I reccomend going back and carefully listening to the rhythmic flow of the song and adjusting a part of your choice.
  17. Nice sounds, but it didn't go anywhere. I know this is ambient music, but it should still have some direction to increase the atmosphere if that makes sense.
  18. I submitted this to a compo recently (the arrangement structure is the same because the compo was MnP) and I just want to get some feedback and improve. https://soundcloud.com/atheox/peaceful-days-remix
  19. That's actually not my theme; I'm just referencing this 40+ minute Final Fantasy medley that everyone should check out if they like FF's music. As for ThaSauce, I checked the FAQ and tried resending the mail, but nothing has worked so far.
  20. Can I just post this theme's part from the Final Fantasy Ultimate Battle Medley?
  21. How did I know that you were going to put link something that has to do with MMZ....if you're going for realism, then that panned ride cymbal must die. Or be less panned. I don't know much about mixing that guitar, but it sounds real enough for an unmixed product. I think you have the right idea with the synth. I recommend looking up Bonkers here on OCR and listening to "Roaming...Please Wait" if you want another (awesome) example of a synth/guitar jam.
