Yeah, fan novelizations don't do much for me...usually the only thing separating them from straight transcripts is just some interstitial writing to keep it coherent. And in that case, why not just watch the movie or play the game?

I actually didn't find out about Final Fantasy 6 Special Tracks until pretty recently. I'm glad I did though, considering it has one of the best Chocobo arrangements I've heard.

I also have to admit I laughed when I saw the firetruck on fire.

The iconic "Let's put a smile on that face!" and "Why so serious?" lines are pretty standard Joker fare too, just with a slightly darker spin this time around. Someone mentioned on another board that it would've been hilarious if the copycat turned out to be Keaton. I agree.

I was never much into fanfics (despite being a burgeoning "creative writer" myself), but of what I did read, the stuff that wasn't straight-up awful usually ended up being way too pretentious and SERIOUS BUSINESS.
