I ninja-updated the link. You may need to hit refresh. I didn't change the samples but I think I emphasized the change in modulation a lot more, going from as low as possible and really swelling the strings. I tweaked some other stuff but I forgot the details. Anyway it should be pretty good now, I'm diggin' it. I think I have it scheduled to be subbed on January 23rd.. thanks for all the help.

Yah I'm kinda excited about my final mix. It will be the last in months worth of planning, from the GRMRB when I had the idea to do Splash Woman in specific musical genres. Y'all should be able to guess what my last genre is that I haven't covered yet. I've done orchestral, acoustic, electronica, metal... All my songs are gonna be fixed and released on an ep called 'The Wettening'... including an exclusive instrumental version of Liquid Metal z_z

I'm going to record 1 last guitar part just because I think it'll help the ending transition, but apart from that I am trying to re-amp and finish up today... EDIT: I do think the song is done but I'm in the middle of moving now, and I haven't sent you a WAV yet. So bear with me and send me a pm if you need anything changed and I'll be back up within a couple days. EDIT2: I've moved and no pm.. hehe

If it helps, you could wait until we get a release date from djp before animating anything (I was under the impression you had done it already ) Then maybe it wouldn't be as hard to sit on it if you knew when it'd be out. Djp does the mixpost writeups so I figure he'd be the one to ask, but much closer to when the song comes out.

Solution: add an EXP system to accounts, award EXP for reviewing or rating a song after listening to it ^o^ But anyone who is a regular on OCR doesn't really skip songs, I wouldn't think

I didn't know you guys were doing that, that is pretty awesome. Honestly I just sent the album to OCR on December 1st, and I think they might evaluate the new songs... there are albums lined up for the next 2-3 months too. If you guys could wait until then and hopefully it comes out early sometime next year... I don't know if OCR could embed your music video into the mix post, but that would be awesome. You could send me the music video so I can see it maybe? I like music videos

Digging the beat, and I'm so glad the highs of the percussion are not too loud. That's something that plagued a lot of these earlier mixes. The arrangement is not particularly enticing, but the synths are used well and have good use of panning to add some body to the mix. The drums might actually be a little soft as a whole and could use more punch. The drum clarity is better at 1:27 when the song is much less busy, but there is a bit of mud earlier on. The song was easy to listen to a couple times but it doesn't really introduce additional song structure or go anywhere interesting.

I have about 7 done starting from 0001. Because like OA I plan to hopefully review every song, granted not all in December as trying to do that would be insane, but it's a good enough start point. And it makes it somewhat easy to keep track of what you're doing. I'm keeping all the links in notepad anyway and will post 'em when I get closer to done.
