  1. I love what you've done to this, except I would have preferred a nylon guitar over a steel stringed one. Tempo could also have been higher.
  2. You're really doing this JUST to piss me off, aren't you?
  3. I'll hold you to it. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that thing wasn't a cat to begin with...
  4. Will you change your sig, too? Then it's all yours.
  5. Still waiting for someone to claim NiGHTS.
  6. I still haven't even played all the games acquired through the last sale.
  7. Word of warning though - the soundtracks are not included, so there is no music in those games, which is a shame considering how good those soundtracks really are. They also don't seem to run under Windows 7. I used a free engine called DarkPlaces (which is a stand-alone executable which uses Quake's data files) to play Quake, dunno how to go about playing Q2 or Q3. Personally, I think it's really lame to sell old games like these without modifying them to work under a recent OS, especially without warning you about compatibility issues. At least the very oldest games like Doom and Wolfenstein 3D are shipped with DOSBox so you can just run them out of the box.
  8. I've seen worse. Also, I have very fond memories of seeing 2-year-old submissions in the queue without realizing they were resubs of mixes submitted 2 years ago and not actually submissions that had been waiting for 2 years for the judges to bother. Made me really pissed off, too. (That's right, Will, I got stuck for another few minutes.)
  9. Left 4 Dead: "Josef" from Machinarium (sharpened): ( ) These were taken from Steam's icon base. LT: Nice L4D logo. Wasn't transparent though, so I found a different one. Took the sharpened Josef and had to transparent the background. Still nice!
  10. Good catch, then. I'm just saying Machinarium was a really sweet game.
  11. Get Trials 2: SE. It's nearly free for another 12 hours or so. If there's a good deal on Machinarium you should really consider that, too. I spent a few hundred bucks on last year's sale. Most of the games I got then I still haven't even installed, but then again, many of them were simply for the sake of good conscience - I've never paid for a Quake game in my life before, so I figured it was about time. Shame none of those Quake games work without using open source hobbyist non-official engines though. I also bought Bioshock for 5 bucks, which I've regretted ever since, since I didn't like it. I'd rather have paid another 15 for System Shock 2 despite already owning a physical copy (though from my understanding buying Bioshock is the only way to pay homage to the SS2 devs, as buying SS2 only helps EA, completely nullifying the whole "for a good conscience" idea).
  12. Dunno if I'm supposed to be, or if only OCReMixers are on this page, but I'm not listed among the arrangers here.
  13. Man, it would be cool to go to an irl release party where people actually cream their pants before they even get there and then probably a few more times on site. I mean, hey, I'm excited too, but there's plenty of ear porn around here to keep you busy while you wait. Take a look in the wip forum, and fall in love with a new mixer there (or break someone's heart, if that's your sort of thing), but stop jizzing on every page of this thread. PLEASE.
  14. The reed instrument that comes at 0:15 or so doesn't fit in at all. It's not until at 0:50 or so that you start hearing this is a remix of a mega man song, and not until 1:00 or so you start hearing it's a remix of shadow man's theme. I'd advise you to hint at this a lot earlier. Aside from a few instruments, this sounds pretty good though. Production is nice.
  15. The claps part at 2:10 or so is a little strange, but the rest of this is absolutely fantastic.
  16. I wouldn't say they're gratuitous, I just think the mixer has the wrong idea about what an OCReMix is.
  17. It's a little repetitive, and the piano in the first section could stand to have a little more bass. The second section, starting at 1:25 or so, isn't in tune with the part before it. I also don't think (to pass the panel) you're allowed to sample this much straight from the game. Love the drums here though. You keep switching between these two sections throughout the song, but you still have a problem with repetitiveness. It's like there should be rap on top of all this, it's a little too ambient right now. You also have the issue with the tune between the two sections. Makes me a litte sick every time you switch. Man, this newgrounds equalizer/video thing is awesome!
  18. There's a note clash here somewhere. There's a very low-pitched conga with a very clear tone to it that could be causing the problem. Other than that, I like this a lot. Btw, the source tune is totally the same song as this:
