  1. What makes you think you'll like Reason 5 any better? The only reason not to like Reason 4 is if you preferred the Reason 3 sequencer. Did they change it back in Reason 5? Anyway, I ordered it asap and will hopefully receive it on Monday. I got new mics and stuff, too. Can't wait.
  2. Wait, what? You're going to click it until you find the one you're looking for?
  3. On the other hand, several Japanese female singers sing in a voice that I find disturbingly maleish. That said, it doesn't sound to me like there's only one person singing in this song, so yeah, I agree, it's impressive. Can't help but think of Yoshikazu Mela, on this subject.
  4. Heard a bunch of his stuff, and even if this isn't among his best imho, it's still awesome to see his work reached this site. Are there other Japanese artists here? Just curious...
  5. How about a quick link to the "least reviewed mix"?
  6. For some reason, this thread didn't show up in my subscriptions, or I missed it. Will change thread title now.
  7. Haha. It adds audio tracks, letting you record and edit samples on the fly (also featured in Reason 5), which means you can skip that whole mess with loading samples in nnxt... it has a 2D rack, meaning you don't have to put everything in one big tower. Also there's a huge mixer table thingy which makes things easier for those who prefer that kind of thing. That's pretty much it. If you buy it now, you get the Reason 5 upgrade for free, as well as Record 1.5, which includes the new Neptune autotuner, something the likes of with I've been waiting for since god knows when. Well worth the purchase, I'd say.
  8. Think he could make money off mass-producing these?
  9. Not much, no, I don't think anyone I knew had it, unfortunately. For me, it was all Mega Man in those days. I think I played BC for the first time a few years ago, and thought it was frustratingly difficult, so I didn't play it for long, but I think it's really cool how BCR manages to look so good and feel so fresh while staying so true to the original. It's a shame GRIN didn't make it through the crisis. For whatever reason, I don't think Mega Man would fare as well in a remake as BC did in BCR. I guess there's just too much nostalgia there...
  10. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, or perhaps your employer, for the recent retro trend we've seen in your product line-up. I wasn't as huge a fan of Mega Man 9 (which I only played on the Wii for a few minutes) or BCR (which I got on Steam a few weeks ago) as I think most people were, but I think what you're doing is really cool and I'm happy to hear you're working on BCR2! I would also like to ask Rozovian to stop misspelling "kinda". It makes no sense to spell it with an apostrophe, so please stop doing it. Thanks!
  11. I certainly liked that last one from about halfway through.
  12. Lol. Recognize this song at all? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79poPPkxAYk I think the Genesis version sounds even more similar to Corneria's theme, but I can't seem to find a clip of in on youtube.
  13. Still out of tune, still these long, unmodulated notes. Rounding those of with vibrato would make them feel so much more alive. Nice mutes just past halfway through the song though. I have a really hard time playing those for whatever reason.
  14. 3rd post, first listen (computer issues). This isn't my cup of tea at all (just had one, btw), but it's pretty awesome all the same. "Hey! Listen" just made my day. EDIT: Actually, this is growing on me. It's still not my favorite kind of music, but I have to say I appreciate the effort you obviously put into this. It's a really well made ReMix!
  15. You should listen to the original song again and compare its chord progression/bassline to the one you have in this mix. Iirc, the original goes (minor/major not considered) D E F E D E F E in the intro, and then when the melody comes in, it goes D E F E A# F A# A. You stay with D E F E D E F E the whole way through. Not that you're not entitled to make whatever changes you want, I just don't approve of that particular choice. There's also a few really odd note collisions here and there. The most glaring issue here, though, is the one of fixed velocities, which has already been brought up.
  16. I like that we have a real pro on the wip board. I could use some mastering feedback on my own stuff whenever I post something next time.
  17. It's funny how people keep commenting the chiptune bit. It's taken directly from source, which I think sounds terrible most of the time. You drop a semi-tone in key in the transition (from D# to D), which is a shame. If you pitch the chiptune bit down a semi-tone so it's the same key as the rest of the song, I think the transition would feel a lot more natural. Also, that weak synth piano thing... that part of the song actually has two parts in the melody, and you've only included one of them.
  18. Guitars are still a little out of tune. Try some vibrato on the longer notes, that usually helps make it sound less amateurish and, if it's not completely in tune, it's a lot harder to tell with vibrato.
  19. Haha, I'm a sucker for puns. Good job, mate. Does "must" work as past-tense? I'm not sure which is correct in English, but I feel "help" here refers to "his distinct anatomy", so it should be singular, "helps". I'm probably wrong, of course. I don't think I would have felt this way if you'd written "along with" instead of "combined with". When you combine something, it results in a single something, not several, I think. We've probably had this discussion before, but I don't remember what we ended up agreeing on.
  20. I would have preferred less reverb on the drums. Guitars are sweet, though!
