This is the icon for the achievement "Little Rocket Man", attainable in Half-Life Episode 2 by carrying a garden gnome throughout the entire game (which does not have an inventory, so you have to actually hold him or keep throwing him in front of yourself the whole time, dropping him whenever you need to e.g. fire your gun), including a very frustrating chapter where you are driving a car (that has no suitable space for the gnome) while chased by an attack helicopter. The image itself depicts a garden gnome (in orange, with a brown beard) in space (also brown), orbiting what might be a planet (orange, with brown craters). I'm not familiar with the source, but this reminds me a lot of the music in Transport Tycoon. I think you would be able to make a pretty decent remix of any track from that game too (though I'm not sure its soundtrack would qualify for OCReMixing). I'm not big on the drums, I think they could definitely have been more interesting, both in terms of samples and of arrangement, but I love the bass. I'm guessing those are samples that just happened to fit here, but they totally work.

This is pretty awesome. My only real complaint is how, when playing those first 6 (or, rather, 12) notes of the source, you stay in the same octave instead of alternating, as the original does.

I love how every song with happy clappy kids in it the happy clappy kids always sound like they're stoned. Maybe that's how happy clappy kids always sound, it's been too long since kindergarten, so I really don't remember. EDIT: I aim to maintain a high post percentage in this thread. Apparently.

Also, a question from a non native speaker: is it common to say "Once he started looking after his nephews" or does that sound strange to anyone? I'd put it "Once he started to look after his nephews". Maybe it's a regional thing?

Nice! My only concern is "What's become of both, he knows not;" - I'm not a native speaker, but I feel "either" or something would be more appropriate here, assuming his homeland and his kin did not both suffer an identical fate. But I'm just a silly Swede.

The organs from 0:28 and on are pretty ugly. I love the intro though, and the formant lead after it too. I wish the bassline was louder, right now you can barely hear it go up from Eb to E, because the rhythm part playing Eb Ab Eb Eb Ab Db is so much louder than the bass. The lead that comes in after 2 minutes is way too loud. The part with the distorted lead sounds incredibly lo-fi, except for that fast-panning synth, which doesn't fit in at all there. I guess filtering those drums was intentional, but it doesn't work for whatever reason. The whistle outro is every bit as awesome as the intro, even though I think the vibrato is a little too strong/fast, even before that final note. There are some amazing sections in this remix, but the more upbeat sections need some more work, and could really be taken out entirely for all I care. Don't give up on this.

This is some interesting music. Reminds quite a bit of the Duke Nukem 3D soundtrack before the upbeat section starts. The song is EQ'd in a weird way, making it feel distant somehow, it's like there are frequencies missing entirely. Maybe it's just lacking bass, I'm not sure. It's very pretty though.

This is great! My only complaints this time are about the last paragraph. The last sentence is too long, and also I would prefer if you changed the first part of the first sentence of that last paragraph into "Aided by his nephews and his bumbling but loyal pilot Launchpad" to avoid confusion.

Before anyone sorted these things out, I was convinced they were all related as uncles and nephews so that Disney wouldn't have to get into the whole parenting and marriage thing. Both Mickey and Donald have notoriously unreliable relationships with their "girlfriends" Minnie and Daisy, of which at least the latter is in no way a stranger to going out with other "men" (often favoring Donald's own cousin), but at the same time jealous enough to sabotage any of his attempts to see other "women". Imagine all this combined with actual parenting, and Disney would have put themselves into the crossfire of a political debate they would probably rather avoid. EDIT: Dewey's real name is Deuteronomy? No wonder they call him Dewey.

I don't think it actually needs to be any longer than it already is, so try not to flesh out too much.
