  1. I'm enjoying this, but I do have one gripe. I hate how you have to be standing in front of your enemies to hit them. It's too easy to run up and kick them and then land inside them and you can't hit them from there, and it's a pain in the ass to reposition yourself.
  2. I second this. Not only does it work great as a guitar preamp, the GearBox pretty much doubles as an ASIO soundcard. The only thing is the monkey crud is a pain in the ass to register/activate.
  3. Can we please do something that hasn't been done to death?
  4. [15:29] <+starla> ty post in this thread done also, i have a 70 orc huntard and 70 cowdrood on Illidan too! but they're in a different guild. but that guild doesn't really do anything much anymore. also i don't play that often anymore. also rama won't talk to me anymore cuz i ninja'd the brewfest kodo. but otherwise I FULLY ENDORSE THIS PRODUCT OR EVENT.
  5. What the bloody hell are you talking about? Please actually read posts before you respond to them.
  6. Is it micro-ATX or something? Based on my personal experience, they're a little harder to work with due to their size, especially if you have a tiny micro-ATX tower. They also tend to have more problems (especially with overheating, which might explain that).
  7. I thought you played piano? What happened to that dexterity? I have sausage fingers and I have no problem dealing with motherboards. The only part you need to really be careful for is installing the CPU and making sure not to bend any pins, which isn't hard to do if you're patient and you follow the directions. After that it's smooth sailing. However, dealing with Micro Center on the other hand has its perks, because if they fuck it up you get a new one!
  8. Hurray necro post. This should just be the Wardriver thread or something. We've got some stuff in the works, and I plan on overhauling (read: fixing) the site sometime in the near future.
  9. if you need an extra anything let me know seriously i play everything
  10. EVERYTHING. it's the reason i don't record nearly as often as i'd like to. let's just say my roommates are inconsiderate sociopathic fuckwits and leave it at that.
  11. why not just get an in-game mp3 player for WoW? there are tons of them. Soundtrack is my favorite (it lets you set certain songs to play in certain zones or during pvp combat or whatever).
  12. I could have told you this. Don't be suckered in by those shitty TV and gaming magazine ads, guys. In these types of fields, your portfolio is vastly more important than whatever school you came from. The same can be said for musicians as well. You can go to FullSail and learn to be a producer, but it won't count for shit if you still don't know what you're doing. Plus, I'm sure a lot of people are sick of getting graduates from these schools applying for jobs and not knowing anything, and as a result there's likely a growing bias against them.
  13. back and forth http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=901543 edit: also, it appears it no longer thinks i have cleared any of the stages. what the christ?
  14. ok, apparently not only can i not save, but i can't look at other people's stuff either. this thing is seriously bugged.
  15. i think i broke it. i tried to save now it's just sitting there saying "working..." forever.
  16. Oh man, I can't believe I missed the beginning of this. This stuff really needs to be posted in GenDisc. Anyways, I have a question. You say effects are fine, but vocoders are not. Where do you draw the line? Would a simple filter effect with perhaps some delay and reverb be fine?
  17. http://hosting.thasauce.net/suzumebachi/shiningforce_7.mp3 I was bored. Believe it or not, softsynths are used sparingly here because my computer just can't handle lots of VSTis anymore for some reason. Methinks my processor is slowly dying. Anyway, it's an arrangement of the ship battle music from Shining Force in typical Suzumebachi progressive-orchestral-techno-metal-kwak style. I plan on actually finishing this one, mostly because I can't actually work on any other projects without locking up my computer. AWESOME, NO? Questions, feedback, comments, and love letters welcome as always. Enjoy.
  18. Sweet. The MO8 too? (not sure whose that was) If I can somehow get away with taking it on the airplane I'll bring my electric and multieffects box. If not, I'll bring some smaller stuff, like mandolin or a melodica or something. I'd really like to bring my EP or workstation, but somehow I don't see being able to take that on the plane. Unless someone wants to organize a cross-country carpool or something. I'd totally be down for some ToeJam & Earl. Also, will there be JamSpace concerts again? Because that was funtimes last year.
  19. Yeah I don't think I like this search engine. I decided to search for myself just to see what it came up with. The very first result was a page that included my full name, my home address, my home phone number, my age, my last job, and a map with accurate directions to my house. You know, just in case someone wanted to kill me in my sleep. I'm not usually a paranoid, or even very private person, but you gotta draw the line somewhere. Also it seems to be really inconsistent because I just searched again and now the first result is my OCR remixer profile.
  20. the 56k in me says no longer than 5 minutes, but multiple installments if necessary to cover a single topic i'd like to see production stuff. mixing/mastering, preparing tracks for media, etc also phat beats that one dude covered that already methinks. too bad i forgot his name and where his tutorial video was but he covered reason's subtractor synth and explained the basics of synthesis pretty well if i recall. link, anyone? EDIT: HEY WAIT I FOUND IT
  21. http://www.mp3sale.ru/track.php?ms_trackid=420993 halp i dunno what's more insulting, the fact that they're trying to sell it, or the part where they only want 0.10 euros.
